Hoax !

Hoax !

I booked and paid a teacher training, the training was cancelled several times, the center itself accepted to give me the money back but this company which manage the money refused it and instead offered me a voucher which I accepted the problem is they never gave me even the voucher!!!! They kept my money and won't answer, they said they suffered lost because of pandemic so they can give cash back, then normal people like us customers have to support this big company !! They dont care at all!!

DO NOT PAY THE DEPOSIT - IT DOES NOT SECURE THE RESERVATION AT ALL !!

Booked "6 Day Scuba Diving and Surf Camp" for the 28th of December, securing the date by paying the deposit.
Nevertheless, they informed me then that the accomodation was not available for the date I selected and I should change it to another date (shifted of at least 1 week). This of course doesn't work (as often for most travellers).

Result: NO ACCOMODATION for new year's eve, DEPOSIT GONE (after 4 weeks still waiting for a voucher of the value of the deposit)

I was scammed. Avoid at all cost.

Disastrous experience with Tripaneer, absolutely avoid them at all costs!
Yoga retreat was wrongly advertised... the organizer understood my disappointment and agreed to refund me. Tripaneer however kept my deposit, despite the yoga retreat being not at all as advertised in their website... so organizers can lie on Tripaneer with no consequence and the customers are not at all protected. Why book with them them? Save yourself and the trip organizers some money and book directly!

I create this post with a heavy heart. After months of trying to get my money back for a yoga trip which I had to cancel due to the Covid situation I still have to see a penny back! after months and months of messaging, The Tripaneer have promised my half of the money back (I fully honour the fact that half was the deposit which was not recoverable which I totally understand). So my friends please be aware and careful when you book with Tripaneer (or BookYogaRetreats.com) I will fully avoid this company in future and will definitely tell anyone who cares to listen to avoid!!!!!

I signed up for a yoga retreat…

I signed up for a yoga retreat scheduled for April of this year and paid a 50% deposit in February. While they have a stated no refund policy, the retreat was cancelled by the organizer due to COVID 19 and has not been rescheduled. Due to the extraordinary circumstances and the support of the event organizer, I requested a refund of the deposit but they have steadfastly refused saying they would only provide a credit for future retreats.

I think this is poor business practice and customer relations and I will never use them again to book anything. And after I spread the word to yoga practitioners/instructors or anyone I know on social network platforms, I am confident they will seek alternate means to book retreats as well.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

When I booked my YTT through tripaaner I read the cancellation policy thorougly because I wasnt 100% I could go. It said that if I cancel more than 30 days before course start I would get my money back exept $100 in admission fee. I would not have booked if not for the cancellation policy!! I thought about it and decided I could afford to risk $100 but absolutely not the $900 I had to pay upon my booking! I had to cancel and did so more than 30 days ahead. They refuse to give me my money back!! So many e-mails back and forward. They said in one e-mail that my booking was ”non-refunable”, I answered that it is refundable and sent copy of my booking cancellation policy, they anwered that it was true-it was refundable but they couldnt do anything about it than to give me a voucher. I cant and do not want a voucher. More e-mails back and forward and after two months I get the exact same e-mail about my ”non-refundable” booking. It seem to lead nowhere, they lie cheat and steal your money and do not follow their own cancellation policy at all.

Like many others this company have put their greed before the rights of their customers. After been told on numerous occasions over the last two months that I would receive my refund and that it would take up to 4 weeks to process and still no refund or contact from them despite their assurances that they are a small team and working very hard on my case, I finally managed to speak to a manager yesterday they had no knowledge of my case at all and promised to look into it personally and call me back that day. Surprise, there was no call back. I did receive an email this morning from them informing me that they were keeping my deposit of $450 and I would receive a voucher for the balance. I have a clear email trail from the company telling me I would receive a full refund. This pandemic will pass and we will remember the companies whose priorities were greed.
I really found their passive aggressive manner completely inappropriate and unkind.

Update *** my bank refunded my money after reporting them under section 75 of consumer credit act.
I then received an email a couple of weeks later that was aggressive in nature and tone. This company told me they are going to dispute with my bank to receive ‘their’ money back. This is actually ridiculous.
I paid for a service that they couldn’t provide.
I was informed I would receive a refund
After weeks of emails informed I’d receive a credit note.
Took it up with my bank
They refunded my money
Tripaneer sent me a rude email stating they were going to fight this.
Furthermore they stated that if they won their case I would receive no refund or credit note....this is harassment. Utterly vile!

2nd update
I have just received an email from trust pilot to inform me that Tripaneer have disputed my review as think it’s not meant for them.

"It's devastating to read this from you Emma because it's the opposite of what we stand for. Our customers come first before anything , after all, they are the reason why we exist. I work very closely with Petra, hence, I could assure you that she studied your case quite well. We are giving you back your deposit in the form of a voucher and store credit, both come with perks you can take advantage of for any future trip or YTT. I'm very sorry if we are not able to meet your expectations, I do hope you can find a future date to finally attend the course you've always wanted."

Fraudulent company - beware

As I said in another review of their Book Yoga Retreats website, I have been treated unfairly by this company who are refusing the pay me back the money for a fully refundable booking I made with them. But that’s just a small part of the problem. The host confirmed they have not been paid either, so Tripaneer are currently holding the full sum for the trip, without really having incurred any operating expenses for the trip. When I challenged them over that, a person called Uriel stated they have not paid the host because they were “saving the money for me” to use for a voucher. If they are saving it for me so kindly, why would they not just refund me now? What is the point of me booking another holiday with their voucher if they won’t be paying that host either? All of their customer service agents Kate, Uriel, Rodjie, Amabel, Leslie were pasting the same scripted responses and have now stopped responding completely. I was initially blaming their management, but now I see that the ethics of the customer service team is just as low as they are not doing their job responding to my latest emails. I would never use this company again and will be raising a complaint with their Dutch regulator and consumer watchdog pleading to get their license revoked and for them to be investigated. If they are not paying hosts but also refuse to refund customers they are clearly having liquidity issues, or have created some sort of a ponzi scheme where they rely on new cash coming in to keep the business going - clearly a red flag.

I was trying to search for your booking details via our database but with "Christina" being a very popular name it was difficult narrowing it down. Please send us another follow-up if something is not clear yet so we can resolve the matter as soon as possible. Usually, a change of date means that either the trip organizer agreed with an extension or we ourselves after looking at your particular case decided to make an exception and extended the validity of your voucher so you can fully take advantage of it. We are working really hard to make the redemption system even easier, for now you simply have to contact us if you decide to redeem it and we will do the rest for you. Your host on the other hand will surely be paid as soon as you confirm your attendance with them - this was also set in place as extra protection for customers specially those travelling abroad. - Blaine

HORRIBLE COMPANY...No morals

HORRIBLE COMPANY...No morals. Due to Covid-19 situation booked an online yoga retreat. Was specific that I wanted one that offered Yoga classes along with cooking sessions. I emailed to ask prior to booking to check class was still going ahead - and once confirmed booked. Within 12 hours I got an email to say that they did not have enough participants and were cancelling the session. Since they cancelled on me I informed them that I would like a full refund - the company have tried offering voucher for use within 2 years. Have explained repeatedly that I want a refund- they keep trying to fob me off with vouchers. Do NOT BOOK WITH THEM FOR ANYTHING.

Horrible Experience

My wife and I were scheduled into a B&B in Italy. However, because of COVID-19, the Italian government and the U.S. government did not allow anyone into Italy. We cancelled our reservations with other hotels, our guides, our rental car and our airlines and parties returned our deposits, except for the B&B booked in Italy through Tripaneer. The B&B was closed; yet Tripaneer - not the B&B owner - refused to return our deposit. I will never again book any entity affiliated with Tripaneer and I suggest that you not as well.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. My trip was cancelled, and they confirmed that I would receive a refund. Waited a month for that refund, only to find out that they had changed their minds and decided not to give one to me after all. Have tried to resolve this with their customer service team, who just keep sending "copy/paste" emails back refusing to return my money. Now they have resorted to not responding to my emails altogether. Still no closer to having my money returned. I would advise steering clear at all costs - it's looking like an expensive mistake for me.

Fraud

This company changed their refund policy to suit their purpose. I booked a 100% refundable trip, written in the terms of their confirmation, and now they are calling it non refundable even though all non essential flights from Canada are cancelled. I guess they think I should canoe across the Atlantic. Horrible service and all they do is send the same generic “sorry, not sorry” email to everyone they are ripping off. Brutal company.
