Awful food, awful service

I had high hopes but the meals were awful. The potatoes fell apart in your mouth, which to me is a sign of old potatoes or way over boiled potatoes. I heated my meals in a skillet, but it was all just gross and tasted like left overs that had been sitting on the fridge for a week.
I had signed up on a promotion initially, my box arrived on Friday afternoon. Apparently that same Friday night was the cutoff to be able to stop the next shipment, I hadn’t even had the opportunity to try a meal yet. Saturday morning I had the first meal and immediately went to cancel but nope. Too late. I was already being charged for the following week at full price. So $215ish dollars for another week worth of meals. I tried the lunch meal for Saturday and Sunday morning another breakfast, the meals are fairly small portions but I still tossed half of it out because it was just that bad. I’ve done fitness/body building competitions for years, I’m used to bland competition prep food, and lots of re-heated prep meals.. I still couldn’t choke this down. I emailed the company Saturday asking to stop my shipment and refund the pending charge but noooope. The had no desire to help.

Small portions, too expensive, bad taste; yes that's a trifecta

I tried Trifecta because they advertise as a having organic ingredients and for people who workout and/or want to lose weight. Yeah, the meals are so small, of course you'll lose weight. Seriously, for a keto meal, you get a tiny portion of meat and like 3 slices of vegetables. What?! For $120 a week, that's completely insane. Not to mention my first order they didn't even give me shipping details and my order sat in the package room overnight. If you're interested in them, you should know their chicken is all thighs. The meals also have zero flavor. There aren't any real spices or sauces to be found. Definitely not worth the money.

Horrible company

They tell you one price and then you’ll end up getting charged hundreds of dollars more than what they told you. Bought a box thinking it was $79 but ended up paying $600. Never pressed place order after seeing the price but was still charged. Customer service was little to no help at all.

To clarify, our ordering system requires customers to press a button that states "Place Order & Select Meals." Upon clicking that button, the action is taken to charge the payment card and place the order. You are then given 30 minutes to choose your meals. Abandoning the meal selection screen did not cancel the order, as it had already been placed and your card charged. It just means that we have to provide a random selection of meals to fulfill the order since you did not choose them yourself. It appears you added multiple meal plans to your order as you browsed through our options, causing the total price to be higher than expected.

We understand this was an unpleasant surprise, and we regret any confusion this may have caused. Despite being unable to stop the order once it entered production, we issued a refund of $260, absorbing nearly half the cost of your order to try to make things right.

We always aim to provide clear communication and helpful customer service, and we apologize if we fell short in your case. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please reach out to our support team.

This is complete crap

This is complete crap and a waste of money. The food is disgusting. It’s cheaply made, yet they charge nearly $20 a meal. Not worth it at all.

The level of bad is astounding!

I can’t tell you how bad these Vegan meals are. They’re either dry and flavorless or soggy and too salty. To make matters worse they had me on hold through my entire Lunch hour when I was trying to cancel and then shipped me another box of this garbage. A service that doesn’t allow you to cancel online and doesn’t answer their phones is a joke in this day and age. Run don’t walk.

Found the food to be quite mediocre and…

Found the food to be quite mediocre and cause heartburn. Also I intended to just do a week as a test but they hit me for a second week, emailing when it was coming and not letting me cancel it! Saying 7 days minimum order time. Very shady and a bait and switch. I would look at other places, very unimpressed with Trifecta. Also they come with a vacuum wrapped plastic covering which you are supposed to microwave while the plastic is sealing the meal, seems so nasty and chemically and unhealthy. Three thumbs down.

The worst meal plan

I was extremely disappointed with the vegan menu. I have been vegan most of my life enjoying tasty nutritious foods. The food I received is inedible. It’s bland, pretty much tasteless and devoid of real fresh ingredients and protein. It’s literally a mash of rice, unseasoned tofu, with a few pieces of what I believe to be canned veggies or beans. A chef did not design this stuff. Absolutely no one with any culinary skills designed the menu

Do try if going plant-based

Don’t try if you’re looking to go vegan or plant based. The meals are so small portioned (under 400 calories for entrees), they have no protein, and they’re $15/meal. Better off cooking yourself! They also sent us 3 options for a 10 meal. Immediately cancelled when I got the first delivery it was so disappointing.

Bad customer service, stay away

I was so excited to try Trifecta after I saw them on Netflix so I signed up and bought 14 vegan meals. When I signed up, I received a coupon for 50% off my first meal delivery but I didn’t see it because I was in the website ordering. Instead there was a 25% coupon that I used instead. When I saw the 50% coupon in my inbox a day later but from the night of my purchase, I asked if they would honor the coupon and refund me the difference. They said they would not. It’s a pity bc I was hoping to be a long term, full price customer but anyone who treats a new customer like they did, I don’t want to do business with them. A huge bummer bc it looks like they had a lot of tasty vegan meals. It wasn’t even about the money but the principal. So sad.

Sent wrong meals, hard to cancel

I chose 10 meals and they sent me several different ones from what I had ordered. It's also difficult to cancel your subscription. There is not an option to cancel on their website, you have to email them. I had to email them twice before they responded to me.

Amazing food service

Amazing food service. I tried several before I found Trifecta. As an athlete I need high protein meals with the correct amount and type of carbs. I want clean meals. Trifecta delivers. Been using them well over a year and my results are amazing. I'm a 49 year old male with the body of a 28 yr old.

Review of Trifecta Nutrition

We decided to give Trifecta a try and opted for their meal service for two weeks, which included 14 entrees and 7 breakfasts. Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. The first week, we found that 3 of the meals had opened packaging, which meant we had to discard them for safety reasons. Additionally, we felt that there was a lack of variety in flavor as all the meals had a similar and overwhelmingly spicy taste. The salmon, in particular, was disappointingly dried out. Visually, the meals were unappealing, and sadly, their taste matched their appearance. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Trifecta to others.

Was charged for an order I didn’t place

UPDATING MY REVIEW AND EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY.
It's now May 2024: I initially gave this company one star, and still give zero if that were an option. Instead of fully reimbursing me, they had the audacity to update their response to my review with marketing material. Since I have unsubscribed from their emails, they decided to contact me here instead. I guess that's how they reach out to clients they have disapointed now? SMH

JUly/2023 I had a very upsetting experience with Trifecta. I had canceled my meal plan a month ago and what wasn’t my surprise when I saw a charge of $168 on my credit card. I called the company immediately and the person who talked to me said that there was nothing they could do since “ I missed” the window for cancelation of a order that I didn’t even place or authorize. I asked to talk to a manager and she simply said she was the manager and there was no one above her that I could talk to.

I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter unexpected charges, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Upon reviewing your account, it appears the first contact we received from you to cancel your subscription wasn't until July 10th, three days after our cutoff to prevent that order from production. A month earlier, you did skip several weeks of deliveries on your subscription but that is not a cancelation - you were still enrolled in our weekly recurring service and our system would charge you for the first week you did not skip online. As per our terms and conditions, we require 7 days notice to skip or cancel a delivery to prevent charges from occurring. Unfortunately, it seems that you missed the window for skipping a delivery, resulting in the charge to your credit card.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. Our customer service team strives to provide helpful assistance to all our customers, Our team did explain that the order had already entered nationwide production and that we did not have the ability to locate one order among 10,000+. Additionally, we did fully refund your first order for you.

Even so, I would like to be able to make things right and hopefully change your opinion about our service. We have many new offerings since you last experienced our meals and I'd like to extend you a special offer to try them out. If interested, please don't hesitate to DM me here.

Trifecta Nutrition - TERRIBLE. The food is mush and some meals contain so much gristle and bone that you will be spitting it out from every bite. One entire week was mushy peppers in tomato sauce with a little protein. I also was not allowed to cancel as promised in the cancellation policy and wound up with another week of horrid food. Btw, google: trifecta nutrition lawsuit

UPDATE - While I still have to say that the food was not for me, after I had given up I was contacted by a manager on the customer service team. He wanted to know my story, truly listened, and offered to refund my original payment. He also said they have been making many improvements to the food. He promptly refunded my payment so it is believable that the food is improving too. If so, the convenience for the Whole30 especially, cannot be beat.

NEW SUBSCRIBERS BEWARE

I received my first order of meals just as I was recovering from a flu virus. I had almost no appetite and did not eat one of the meals until a couple days after they arrived. I didn't care for the meal. I tried to skip my next delivery until I had a chance to try a couple more meals. The company denied my request and charged me for my second week because I had missed the deadline for skipping a delivery. That deadline was the SAME DAY THE FOOD ARRIVED!
How is a new customer supposed to determine whether or not they want to continue their subscription when they have to make that decision the same day the food arrives??? I don’t recall seeing anything on the website for new subscribers suggesting they skip their second delivery in order to make an INFORMED DECISION on the product. It looks to me like the comany is assuring itself a two-week payment for every new subscriber.

It really worth "0" stars

It really worth "0" stars! Food is watery and it tastes like plastic. In addition to stop the subscription seems impossible. You have to call and they ask you to leave a voice massage, none answers adequately on the life chart either. I cancelled the future subscriptions in my account via online account, however they did charge my card again and send a food without me requesting it despite that, so it seems once you open the account, the account stays active forever unless you send threatening email as I did. Never the less I had to canceled my credit card as a result, since I lost their trust. Fraud like activities.

A lot of customers use the skip weeks feature to skip the next week. We have the renewal date on your receipt and the account. I am sorry you didn't enjoy the food as well.
