We used Trethowans for our house purchase. Olivia was first class all round, the service was impeccable and reliable with great communication as was the attention to detail. The process was easy to follow, with everything clearly highlighted. I highly recommend.

While technically competent, the overall service was unacceptable. Progress was slow, communication was poor, and interactions felt unnecessarily dismissive. I did not feel valued as a client, and the lack of courtesy and urgency was frustrating. I would not choose this solicitor again.

I was looking to purchase a flat and needed to find a good Solicitor. I was given the name of one, but it was up north somewhere and everything had to be done online. As a lady approaching 80 I really struggled with this, so decided to find a solicitor locally who could help. Yet again, wherever I phoned I was told everything would be done online until, at last, I found Trethowans who advised that they were happy to offer the option of things being done on paper! I was so relieved and was given really good service. Halina was amazing and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. She was very patient when I didn’t understand things and, as we completed, she sent me a huge bundle of all the paperwork involved to ensure I understood everything. I cannot fault this firm and would offer all thanks to Halina forher understanding, patience and hard work.

Communication & updates are key for us in later years and must dealing with Olivia has been stress free . One thing especially important was her availability to help with the extreme amount of Questions and answers needed to cover the money laundering situation for a couple in their 70s not used to such demanding issues .
