Safari experts & storytellers. Since 1991. We craft experiential African safaris just for you, with love. Our crew of passionate safari experts have lived and worked in Africa for most of their lives. Travel in Africa is about knowing what, when and where to go and with whom – for the ultimate safari experience. A few weeks too early/late or a few kilometres off course, and you could miss the Greatest Show on Earth. And wouldn’t that be a pity? We also publish inspirational, factual conservation articles. We believe storytelling plays a pivotal role in education and in creating a more responsible future of travel within the conservation landscape. We seek to minimise the negative environmental and social impacts of travel while maximising its positive impacts. These articles keep our readers informed and inspired to join us in celebrating Africa and doing good. Over sixteen million people in the last decade have read our stories that reflect the complexity and reality of life at ground level here in Africa. And, we generate significant donations for selected conservation projects that deliver impact at the ground level. We choose each project carefully based on our assessment of its contribution to biodiversity and rural people living amongst wildlife.

We had a wonderful Safari vacation in…Tanzania/Zanzibar
We had a wonderful Safari vacation in Tanzania/Zanzibar. 12 days on the mainland (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti) and then a relaxing 3 days on the beach in Zanzibar. The safari itself was spectacular (saw every animal we wanted to and then some). The lodgings on the Safari were top notch glamping and offered an "up close" experience (elephants, zebras, giraffes, and a wart hog walking right through the properties!) and the Matlai hotel in Zanzibar was stellar. Last but not least, our safari guide (Lorry) from Matembezi was the best!

A stunning week in Borneo exploring fauna and flora in the ancient rain forests. Marveled at seeing and photographing exotic mammals, especially primates, birds, butterflies and insects. Visit to Gomantong Cave a highlight. A complex itinerary was well planned and executed by Africa Geographic. Local guides were fabulous, as was the accommodation and ground arrangements

Wild dogs of Zambia at Nkonzi camp
Our group of ten people completed a two week safari in Zambia based at Nkonzi camp to study African wild dogs. We found two packs of wilddogs to follow and many other wildlife including 4 packs of lions. Our guides were truly brilliant. the camp was a delight. Our booking process was easy and professional thanks to Stefan and Wayne. AG was brilliant and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend AG highly enough.

Solo female trip
Christian encouraged and guided me throughout the planning of this trip to Rwanda as I was a solo female traveler. When my plans changed last minute, he quickly accommodated my requests. The itinerary was perfect. It allowed time for rest and to take in the beautiful scenery. My guide Gaston was exceptional. When I told him my hotel was not great, he immediately made changes and had me moved to another hotel before I returned from my hike!! Now who does that?!! Amazing.

An African Adventure I Will Never Forget ❤️
Our African adventure through Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania was absolutely incredible. From interacting with the Golden Monkeys and trekking to see the Gorillas and chimpanzees, to the incredible wildlife safaris in Koroi Forest and the Serengeti, it exceeded our expectations.
While the wildlife and scenery were spectacular, it was the people who made this trip truly unforgettable.
A very special thank you to Christian from Africa Geographic, who planned our trip with incredible care and precision. He was always available and made sure everything ran smoothly. When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled in Entebbe, Christian immediately arranged another flight and, rather than letting us sit in the airport for hours, organised a driver to take us to the Botanical Gardens and for lunch on the water front at Hinriksh @ 2 Friends restaurant bar. That level of care was exceptional and sure beat sitting at the airport for hours.
Our guides and drivers were also fantastic! Ya Ya and Vincent were with us for much of our journey and became so much more than drivers and guides - I referred to them as our guides and caretakers. They were knowledgeable, friendly, great company and always made us feel safe. Their pride in their country and desire to share it with us was wonderful. The Entara guides, Peter, Rufina and Ally were also fantastic with the same attributes. All of the guides had a good sense of humour and were good company.
The Entara lodge in the Koroi Forest and Olmara and Esarai camps were highlights. The accommodation was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff were exceptional. They treated us like family and nothing was ever too much trouble.
We were equally impressed by the warmth and hospitality at Ingagi View Park Lodge, Lake Chahafi Resort, Papaya Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge and Entara’s Katambuga House. Each had something special to offer.
The road trips certainly provided what the guides referred to as an “African massage”, and we had plenty of those but that was all part of the adventure.
My sister and I came home with incredible memories, countless photos and stories we will be talking about for years to come.
It was a holiday I will never forget, and I truly did leave a little piece of my heart in Africa.
A huge thank you to Christian, Africa Geographic, all our wonderful guides and drivers and every member of staff who helped to make our journey so very special.
I would highly recommend, loved, loved, loved it all.

Trust Africa Geographic with your Safaris and Beyond
Africa Geographic helped me plan two incredible safaris plus time in Cape Town, the wine country at the beautiful Lanzerac Hotel and Spa, and Johannesburg in August. Ross and Tracie were wonderful to work with and somehow managed to take my wish list and create the perfect itinerary within my budget. Every step of our trip, including all our transfers, was seamless. It was truly the trip of a lifetime! Our favorite place was Okavango Origins with its incredible accommodations, staff, guides, and the best animal sightings anywhere. I can’t wait to return and when I do I will definitely be contacting Ross and Africa Geographic to help me plan my trip.
A shout-out to Christian Boix!
A huge thank you to Christian Boix for putting together such an incredible and memorable safari experience for our family! From the planning to the overall experience, everything came together beautifully, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better family adventure.
Our time in the Masai Mara was absolutely incredible. Tor’s Camp was such a special place to stay, and we were fortunate enough to see so many amazing animals during our game drives. A very special mention goes to Fred, our guide in the Mara, who was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge, experience and enthusiasm made every game drive exciting and memorable. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience, and his ability to spot wildlife and share his knowledge made the entire adventure even more special.
The hospitality at Tor’s Camp was equally outstanding. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming, and they were especially wonderful with our children. They made the kids feel so comfortable and included, and that personal touch made a real difference to our stay. It was lovely to see how genuinely caring everyone was towards our family.
Laikipia was the perfect change of pace after the excitement of the Mara. El Karama was another highlight of our trip, particularly for the children. The staff there were exceptionally friendly, attentive and welcoming, creating such a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone made us feel at home, and the children absolutely loved the activities and the opportunity to experience the bush in such a hands-on way.
A special thank you to John, our guide at El Karama, who made our time there so enjoyable. His warmth and guidance helped us appreciate Laikipia in a different way, and the activities he took us through made the experience engaging and memorable for both adults and children. It was wonderful to see how much the kids enjoyed themselves and how thoughtfully the experience catered to the whole family.
One of the absolute highlights was fly camping at El Karama! It was such a unique and unforgettable experience, and something we will remember for a long time. Being immersed in the wilderness in such a special way was truly magical, and it was the perfect addition to an already fantastic safari.
What made this trip particularly special was not just the incredible wildlife and beautiful landscapes, but also the people who made us feel so welcome at every stop. The wonderful teams at both Tor’s Camp and El Karama, together with Fred and John, really made the experience what it was. Their friendliness, hospitality and genuine care for our family turned an amazing safari into something truly memorable.
Christian, thank you once again for organising such a wonderful trip for us. We came away with so many incredible memories, and it was lovely to see how much the children enjoyed every part of the adventure. From the excitement of the Masai Mara to the more relaxed, activity-filled days in Laikipia, it was such a well-balanced and thoughtfully planned itinerary.
We are so grateful for the experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Christian and the team to anyone looking to plan a special safari. It was a fantastic family holiday, and one we will be talking about for years to come! ❤️

Nkonzi camp, South Luangwa Park and Wild Dogs
It was an awesome 10 day immersion to a more remote destination, South Luangwa National Park to look for Wild Dogs. Our trip was so much more than this with incredibly rich sightings of many species of animals and birds. Excellent accommodation and hospitality at Nkonzi bush camp and the support of 2 excellent African guides,Jabes and Wilson, provided depth and context for everything we saw. A very memorable experience

This was my fourth trip planned with Africa Geographic
This was my fourth trip planned with Christian and Africa Geographic and, like previous trips, the communication before, during and after was excellent.
This was my first trip to the Okavango Delta and I loved every moment. The first part was the Art Safari at Okavango Origins led by Alison Nicholls. Wildlife encounters were outstanding thanks to Diesel, our guide, and LT, our tracker. Sometimes there was too much action to sketch so my camera memory is fuller than my sketchbook this time…not complaining at all. Animals around camp at night added to the excitement and experience. Like previous Art Safari’s, it was a pleasure to have Alison guide us through our sketching and watercolour practice. And also, a pleasure to be with a group of like-minded travelers.
The second part was at Delta Camp and as it’s on a permanent water channel, the experience was vastly different and even better than I imagined it would be. I slept in a reed chalet with no walls on one side and was visited by elephants, buffalo, hippo, red lechwe, impala and more. Falling asleep to the sounds of croaking frogs, lions roaring and hyena’s whooping is the best. MJ was my private guide who showed me the area by mokoro and on foot. I practiced reading tracks and scat, saw many animals and learned about medicinal and practical uses of plants. My highlight was watching three baby porcupines still in the den. Experiencing the delta with someone who has lived his entire life in the Okavango was the connection to place, people and wildlife that I was hoping for.

Great trip to East Africa
I made a trip to East Africa with Africa Geografic. In detail I went from Nairobi to Maasai Mara and rested in two different camps. Everything was running flawless. The time in Maasai Mara was great. The camps were choosen well and I saw all big five on this safari among other great sightings. Then I cpntinued travelling to Mafia Island (Tanzania). The lodge in Mafia was well choosen by Africa Geografic according to my interests. I would never have found this lodge withour valuable help from Christian from AG.

Highly recommend AG
AG made the logistics and experience painless and stress free which is certainly what you want when on holiday. All of the information was on their online portal ( can also be downloaded when cell service not availble). The camps they selected were excellent and matched my needs to a tee. Would certainly highly recommend them to others.

Kenya and Tanzania 22 night adventure
Planning this trip with Christian was a great experience, he was very patient and professional as we worked through options before finalising our 22 night adventure. From there the trip was seemless, with so many amazing experiences including: Lentorre Lodge in the Rift Valley - Kenya, wildlife night photography in their purpose built hide. Koroi Forest Lodge in Arusha National Park Tanzania for Colobus & Blue monkeys plus amazing birds, Olmara Camp in the eastern Serengeti and Esirai Mobile Camp in the northern Serengeti for big and small cats and so much more, then rounding it out with Mbali Mbali at Gombe National Park for 4 days trekking with Chimpanzees in the footsteps of Jane Goodall's research.
All the logistics for internal flights, road transfers and any overnight stays between camps where managed by AG, making our life easy.
We highly recommend Christian and AG

My first experience planning a safari…
My first experience planning a safari from overseas and a skeptic by nature, and here I am a week back from one of the best trips of my entire life! It was seemless and perfect from start to finish with no stress, and one of the travelers in our party had a VERY complicated and atypical journey there, and they accomplished it timed perfectly. Christian can be a little high pressure in getting you sorted, but don't let that scare you off. He's just serious about setting up a perfect trip within your budget. Will use again for the next trip! 👍👍
Excellent experience
We had an initial discussion with the agent (Christian) and he responded with a very well done preliminary itinerary. After a review conference call he made a few tweaks to meet our preferences and that became our final trip. It was a fantastic plan. We really enjoyed each of our three different accomodations; each was outstanding but unique in their own way.
Christian planned our trip within our budget.
We highly recommend Christian Boix and African Geographic.

A solo adventure for my 70th
I felt comfortable with Stef from the start and that continued when Wayne joined the team. Communication was clear and response times to questions couldn’t have been faster. Each time I read my itinerary, the excitement rose and when it came time to start the trip, all fell into place and my time in Brazzaville and Odzala-Kokoua for Gorilla Watching was truly memorable. Camp Imbalanga is charming, the team friendly and professional, the food… amazing, the activities, with the baï and mirador where you watch the gorilla families that frequent the natural clearing is only 3 mins walk from the camp. The freedom of this program appealed to me as I could come and go as much as I wanted to. Added guided activities whether in Brazzaville or Odzala were exciting and well-run with very knowledgeable guides. I recommend adding a night in Brazzaville at the beginning as the journey to Congo plus the long drive to the park would mean two days of travelling so I enjoyed the full-day sightseeing of Brazzaville to break that up.

Very well organised itinerary…
Very well organised itinerary everything works so well.
Christian is so knowledgeable that he can tailor the trip to suit both your wishes and your budget.
We were unfortunate that storms earlier in summer had changed the game.
The camps were perfect for what we wanted and Goliath Camp was very comfortable with great food and service with the best guide you can ever wish for.
Kavinga was a special well run camp, great staff and food.
Pity that the viewing was a bit compromised by the recent heavy rainfall but it will come back and we still did see a decent amount of game. Accommadation was very nice but design of rooms can get a bit cool if it is cold and windy.
Can only look forward to the next trip.
