BEWARE EV DRIVERS
BEWARE EV DRIVERS: Predatory Practice & Hidden Fee Trap!
A clear warning to all EV and Tesla drivers considering using this site: Total Car Parks operates what can only be described as a predatory trap for unsuspecting motorists.
I was issued a PCN while legitimately charging my vehicle at the Tesla Supercharger. The signage regarding parking fees on top of charging fees is poorly placed, deeply misleading, and clearly designed to capitalize on driver confusion. Penalty-charging EV users who are already paying to use the charging stalls is unacceptable consumer exploitation.
When challenged, their idea of "goodwill" was to extort a reduced administrative fee of £30. Zero flexibility, zero common sense, and complete disregard for customer fairness. Their sole business strategy here appears to be penalizing EV drivers rather than providing a transparent parking service.
If you are an EV driver, avoid this location at all costs, or be prepared for aggressive enforcement. I am escalating this matter to Tesla UK, site management, and industry standard bodies. Unprofessional and unfair!

Derby-Full St scammers!
Derby. Full St. Got a penalty charge of £100 for being 40 seconds over the hour!
It’s a scam
It’s a scam. Parked in their car park in Morley, incorrectly received a fine. All letters sent to an address that wasn’t even mine and then because I hadn’t responded (because I don’t live there…) they doubled it. Needs looking into by trading standards.
I have just received a £100 fine
I have just received a £100 fine for parking my van in the car park to visit the local shops at 8.10am in the morning to get my lunch before I went off to work. I then left the car park to travel over to Liverpool for work shortly after. Once I had finished work I then parked in the same car park again at 1.29pm, only to go to the cash machine before going home straight after. The fine I received today stated that I had stayed in the car park for over 5 hours which I clearly did not, it was two separate visits within the same day and over 5 hours between each visit.
Money grabbing fraudsters
Paid to park on the app after scanning the QR code in the car park I was park in, paid £5.70 for a 2hr stay!! Received a penalty charge as I had used the multi story code not the open car park code!!! So even though I paid to park within their car park I now have to pay an extra 60.00 to them for using the wrong code! Why put a massive sign in a car park if it’s the wrong code?? Fraudulent company taking good honest genuine peoples money.
Total Car Parks is a Total Rip Off
Total Car Parks is a Total Rip Off. We booked a car parking space with them via Parkonomy in Diss, Norfolk. We arrived and there was no space in the car park so had to use the NCP instead. It’s difficult to contact anyone to complain. Beware of using this company
Unscrupulous Company
I put one digit wrong on my registration due to the fact that it was a windy & rainy day and their pay machine screens are so very hard to see (Swanley Centre). Issued a fine, appealed due to the fact that they had photos of my car going in & out at the specified time, sent copy of ticket and bank statement showing I had paid BUT TO NO AVAIL. A genuine mistake but they are a company who just like to rob innocent shoppers and people who have to visit the Cedars Surgery. Also wish I didn’t have to give them one star
This is a cowboy style company who are…
This is a cowboy style company who are operating with crooked terms when you park on there land, any small error you receive a big fine with no reasonable leniency in there judgement. They are thieves who will pay for their crooked ways. I wont ever park on there land again. I curse this company, they will get what they deserve.
I would definitely give a minus if I could!
I would definitely give a minus if I could. Scammers one and all! Paid for my parking in full and still got a find. Lucky I have proof from their own website and bank. Car park in question is Exeter Isca Place. Allows drivers to park anywhere not just in designated bays. They’re just money grabbers. The council should kick them out. The people of Exeter deserve a better service.
Tried to pay for a ticket online
Tried to pay for a ticket online, app wasn't working due to poor signal. Pay machine onsite at Watlington train station was bagged up, also couldn't ring the telephone number. Tried for 18 Minutes to pay online but we couldn't so left the site. Got a PCN a week later. couldn't be bothered to contest the charge as companies like this have got you over a barrel and didn't want to give them more of my money. avoid if possible.
A money making scheme with no sense of customer care. Their people must have been bullied at school.
My most recent experience confirmed what an organisation they are. I parked, paid using the machine (you have to pay to park on a yellow blue badge space with these guys). I used the machine, entered my vehicle reg (or so i thought) ,
the money was taken from card, the ticket printed and displayed in the windscreen. A week later, U receive a £100 fine for not paying for my space use. I retrieve the parking ticket and notice not all of the vehicle reg showed on the ticket.
I appealed, and attached a photo of the parking ticket and the transaction from my bank.
I received a reply asking me how I paid . Clearly they didn’t bother to read the attachments to the appeal. I replied confirming how I had paid.
They replied saying it was my fault for not correctly following their byelaws and as a goodwill guesture would reduce the fine to £20.
To describe my sense of anger at this outrageous behaviour, I would use up all of the words in the Viz Profanosaurus. FYI It is a very thick book.
I would rather spend an evening using a cheese grater on my nads than use their car park again.
I would give a minus if I could
I would give a minus if I could. Think the reviews make it fairly obvious. This company is rude, unresponsive- I sent recorded letters that were not replied to. I eventually received a fine after 8 weeks and although innocent they refused to discuss the fine and then lost the cheque. Useless and incompetent on every level.

Scam company set up to extort money from normal people. Their app doesn’t work deliberately so they can start legal proceedings.

Like so many reviews I paid for my ticket which was valid and confirmed on my App. I sent 3 x recorded delivery letters disputing the fine within 30 days and had no reply. I have now been sent a fine for £160 - they will not discuss by phone and ignored all correspondence. How dare these companies operate so disgracefully and dishonestly . Somebody must regulate them !!!!
No customer service
No customer service. Inadequate and unfair appeal systems and rely on the parkonomy app which is quite frankly the worst app ever. They know what they’re doing. If you park in one of their car parks god help you
Icsa place car park Exeter
Icsa place car park Exeter. Total Car Parks Ltd. I paid the correct charge as indicated in this car park, £4.50 by coin in the machine in this car park. Placed the ticket carefully in the windscreen of my car. Thereafter, a week later, I received a parking charge notice of £60 for non payment. Either their machines are not logging the payments or they do not have staff checking windscreens. Whatever the reason for an unjustified charge, having lost the ticket that would have proved my innocence, I have no recourse but to pay. Is this a deliberate scam or just incompetence? Other negative reviews about this car park suggest both. Don't use this car park in Exeter.
Liars, scammers and a joke
Subject: Formal Complaint Against Incorrect Parking Charge Notice
Dear [Total Car Parks ],
I am writing to formally complain following my appeal against the Parking Charge Notice issued against my vehicle. The allegations made in your letter are completely false and misleading.
The photographs you have provided clearly show my car entering and leaving the Newton Hall Retail Park in Durham — but these are from two separate days, not a continuous 24-hour period as you claim. This makes your accusation entirely invalid.
I am a disabled driver and a regular customer at this retail park, specifically at Aldi (which I use almost daily) and Home Bargains. I use this location because it is close to my home, offers excellent disabled parking, and provides convenient facilities such as the InPost locker.
It is absurd to suggest that I would leave my car there for 24 hours when I live less than half a mile away. In fact, my neighbours and I have Ring Doorbell footage showing my vehicle parked outside my home during the time period you allege it was left in your car park.
Your actions are not only distressing but also potentially misleading and exploitative, especially towards vulnerable or elderly people who might pay such a fine without question. I have seen numerous similar complaints circulating on local Facebook community groups, and I will continue to highlight this issue publicly to prevent others from being misled.
I have already contacted the management teams of the businesses on this retail park — including Aldi — regarding your company’s conduct and the false nature of this claim.
Please review your ANPR camera data properly and cancel this Notice immediately.
Just simply rude
Sent an appeal after being sent a parking for a bank holiday Monday. They are very rude and have zero customer service skills after telling me any emails from me would go unanswered as they have made their decision and it is final.
Funny how other people I know had parked in there on the same day for longer than me and they haven't had a ticket seems they pick and choose who they fine
