It's really odd how many times Swiss Colony orders have issues with "damaged" bar code or shipping label. To make matters worse, when the package finally arrived the products were in poor condition,... Leggi di più

Loss Client / Worst Customer Service
They don't even get a rating of one, they get a negative-0
I have been ordering from this company for years, but I had the worst service ever yesterday, 11/24/25. First, my items arrived in a cheap, flimsy box and were damaged. They told me I would have to donate the items and provide proof. However, when you donate, you typically don't receive a detailed receipt; you get a confirmation that the items were picked up.
Plus, you cannot donate perishable food items.
The representative kept putting me on hold and didn't speak English well enough to pronounce my name correctly, let alone understand what I was talking about. I eventually gave up and decided to pay the full balance and close my account. Then she informed me that it would cost $3.95 for her to process that. When I asked for the fee to be waived, she said I could do it myself.
So, she transferred me, but the system ended up transferring me to another customer service representative who was rude. He just transferred me again to someone who told me their system had issues but insisted I "needed" to pay the $3.95. I was extremely frustrated, especially since the man kept apologizing as if that would help.
The bottom line is that this company's customer service is terrible, and the products look cheap. As the representative admitted, they have changed the items for the worse. They've lost a loyal client and a lot of money. I would never recommend their overpriced items.
first of all shame on swiss colony when…
first of all shame on swiss colony when they use other countries and not america for their customer service. second of all we have been loyal customers since 1991 and still waiting for our catalog for three weeks now and their customer service from whatever country they use, are rude and disrespectful to loyal customers like ourselves whose finance charges are more than enough to supply their corporate execs with enough money to keep them in expensive trips to where ever they want to vacation. but they do not vacation in america thats for sure. and their finance charges rival those of a loan shark, a loan shark has better interest rates then swiss colony
Hurry up and wait but make sure we get paid on time
Well I can understand why you have a 1.4 rating on truss pilot you're not honest with your customers when they spend a couple hundred dollars and they order and they get half of their order and then the other part of their order which is the most important part that they wanted is going to take another month to get nobody wants to wait a month to get something that they ordered and not to mention no one told me when you were taking my money that is going to take this long to get the most important thing that I wanted that's where I have a problem at then they make it tough and difficult to cancel an order that they haven't even shipped yet and you have to go to two different departments nobody's got time for all that
Will not send you ingredient info upon request
I’ve only had experience with ordering petite fours from Swiss Colony and it’s been fine. Recently, the catalog came in the mail and I saw a selection of cheese spreads that looked promising, but there are some ingredients that can be included in cheeses that my family does not consume. I emailed the company, with exact product numbers, and asked if they could provide ingredient info for them and I got a response to call them. I do not have the time to sit on the phone and discuss the ingredients for nine products and I think it’s weird that they can’t just email me the info they have.
I simply won’t be ordering the spreads, and the experience has me reconsidering whether or not I’m going to order the petite fours this year — to me, it’s suspicious that they don’t provide the info online or upon request.
Better off to support your local grocery store/bakery
I have always believed heavily in supporting our small, family owned, USA businesses. So, I was thrilled a few years ago to discover Swiss Colony. They were offering credit, and I decided to place a nice order for their cute cake rolls shaped like snowmen, etc. However, they arrived in transit after about 3 weeks of being on the road, and were very stale. I contacted them about this (they were truly gross), and they told me that they do not go stale that quickly. This should have been my big red flag that they are far from fresh. However, I was determined to try again. The following Christmas, I sent everyone I could think of a gift set of summer sausage, cheese, and crackers. All of my family members were far from impressed. Apparently, they'd had far better from other places. So, this year I decided to try again and only order chocolates. Can't go wrong with chocolates! It was my husband and my 39th wedding anniversary, and he just loves the different kinds of chocolates. The chocolate covered cherries apparently rode in a truck in nothing but a tin (no special packaging outside of the pretty red tin) for over a week to our home in SE Texas (already well into the 90's in later May). Needless to say, those chocolate covered cherries were just one big glob when my husband opened them. I contacted customer support, and this time they offered to replace or refund them. I told them I'd love to have them replaced if they could please pack them and ship them a little more appropriately. This time they arrived only half melted, so I didn't worry about it.
I then discovered about a week ago that Swiss Colony reported me a few years back because that first order was paid a few months after the purchase. That was the time frame that I tried really hard to work out the issue of the totally stale shipment...to no avail. I then went ahead and paid them and moved on. So, I discovered that they reported this from a few years ago, and my credit literally took a good size hit from this late payment of 90 days. They can be proud to know it hit me good. I brought it to their attention, and they responded that they can't remove it, because the credit reporting agency won't allow them to, and because it wouldn't be honest. They have to report what is honest is how they explained it to me. I went on to tell them that companies work with customers all of the time when they value them. Especially when they only have such a thing happen one time. We've always paid them off within a couple of weeks of purchase since then. I also have to mention that this occurance happened back before they gave any ability to make a payment online, or even by phone. You had to reach a customer service rep during business hours M-F to make that payment. That was not easy. So, today when I responded one more time to let them know that maybe my business isn't valuable to them any longer since they've apparently grown enough to not care. Their response was "Thank you for contacting the Credit Department. We have updated our records with the information you have provided. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you." So, I will be supporting our local grocery store and bakery going forward. Swiss Colony doesn't need my meager support, and I don't need their stale or melted messes.
Galloping Incompetence! BEWARE
I placed an order today be shipped to South Carolina and to arrive on a specific date because the recipient does not live full time at the targeted destination. The order was delivered practically a week early, BUT not to the address I used in the order. They chose to send it to Ohio instead. Fortunately the family froze the product and planned to drive it down to SC,but after the date requested.
I initially thought I had inadvertently made the mistake while placing the order so I decided to send a replacement order to the SC address. I reviewed the screen shot I took of the order confirmation and discovered that the error was NOT mine. Yesterday I decided to go ahead and place another order to go the correct address in SC. In order to get it to SC on time I had to pay over $50.00 for the shipping alone, but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Imagine my surprise This morning when I received a confirmation saying the order would be delivered to Ohio!
I immediately called customer service to cancel the order. The agent was great and offered to re-route the delivery to SC. Fine, or so I thought, but in order to do that, she had to start a new order with the correct info. (We are now up to 3 orders in case you have lost track). She “offered” to credit my card for the second (cancelled) order, but I would have pay for the replacement order. So we proceeded. (This encounter took an hour).
I received a confirmation that a new order was in the works to be shipped to….the Ohio address! I immediately called customer service and cancelled that order too. I was upset, but calmed down, only to receive a Shipping Confirmation for the second order to be delivered to, you already know how this sentence will finish, OHIO!
Sadly I am done with Swiss Colony. They have great quality products, but seem to be incapable of delivering where you want them to go. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole exercise.
Billing issues for the 2nd year in a row
For the 2nd year in a row, I received product AS A GIFT, then months later, received a letter say I was past due. They claim it was an internet order both times and that the gifter put MY name as the buyer. They even said it happens. MAYBE UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE so that it's impossible to do this!! Now I've received a letter saying my credit may be affected!??? REALLY? I had nothing to do with this & didn't request any of it. Their options are: pay the bill (NOPE), open a fraud investigation (shouldn't have to) or have buyer send them a CERTIFIED letter saying she's responsible. I asked why they can't send that request to the sender, or better yet, send the past due statement to the buyer? WHY do I have to go through any of this??? Ridiculous.
I ordered two spring favorite items…
I ordered two spring favorite items with the pettiefores from Amazon! Right away I saw some items that could cause allergic reactions so I went to cancel. One was canceled one was not. I reached out to seller Swiss Colony and asked to cancel, the next day they show it as shipped. It said shipped on April 4, with delivery to be on April 14 or 15. I reached out to seller again and told them I did not want it. Going back and forth with then I just get sorry it’s shipped. It just feels very strange that’s 70 bucks gone for a item they can’t use. They could do the right thing but and refund my money . What a shame I just checked the tracking number they sent me on Amazon at FedEx… there is nothing there!!! Came up empty! Now I’m really getting upset! I reported them to Amazon
Do not trust Swiss Colony
Yesterday Swiss Colony reported me to the credit bureau as delinquent on a payment. I have never ordered anything from Swiss Colony, in fact I did not have any knowledge of who they are. I was told that I received a gift card that I ordered from them. I have never received a gift card and certainly never ordered anything. I recommend that you do not purchase anything from them. A scary business!
If zero stars were available
If zero stars were available, that’s what I would give. Order of several items arrived on time but in horrible condition and some contents missing. After contacting them, sending photos and explaining my dissatisfaction, I was told to repack, return (at my cost) and then they would render a decision on whether to replace the order. I chalked the experience to a lesson learned and will continue never use or recommend Swiss Colony to anyone.
Everything in my order was either old…
Everything in my order was either old (chocolate truffles) and the Baklava was like tiny little tic tacs. Only tic tacs have more of a taste. Will NEVER order from them again.
Don't order from this company.
Order was placed 3 weeks before Christmas, and did not arrive in time for Christmas. Customer service is horrible. Also, the very next day that I placed a phone order, my credit card was charged at a restaurant I had never been in, and it was the same area that the rep was in. Coincidence?
Buyer beware
Received a gift from my sister for Christmas. But guess what yesterday Swiss Colony sent me a $115 bill in the mail. Never have ordered anything from this company but they send me the bill. Called the joke of a customer service this company has only to be told "ya ma'am we are not going to do that" when I asked them to send the bill to her as she is the one who ordered it not me. Also had to create an account because the bill did not even show what was purchased, when I created the account it showed I had $1000 limit! Limit of what I have never done business with this company! Asked Natasha and the Manager and neither answered what this $1000 limit is. They were of zero help and the manager hung-up on me. I would never do business with this company. Buyer beware.
Shipping is outrageous
I have always bought Swiss Colony for my nephew’s birthday but it is now a tradition I must give up. I found the perfect gift at SC for $39.99 but the shipping was $18.99. That is ridiculous. I can put together something myself and spend the $18.99 on my nephew.
Terrible customer service
My free box of chocolates that Swiss Colony gives out when you place an order have been at the FedEx facility in Ellenwood, GA since 12/17/24. I tried to place an order online, but there was no way to separate the Xmas order from the free box of chocolates. Normally, you can send multiple orders to different places, but there isn't a way when one of the items is free. I called Swiss Colony, and the customer service representative barely spoke English. He had no idea about the free box of chocolates even though the catalog has a special page devoted to getting them. I'm surprised the Xmas order made it to where it was supposed to go. I tried calling Swiss Colony today but all I got was an automated service with no more info than FedEx has. FedEx won't do anything about the missing package because it's a ground shipment, and they told me to contact the shipper. I called again, and was told that they were experiencing "high call volume," and to call back some other time. I then sent them a complaint through their "contact us" page on their website. I don't expect any resolution from these people. It's obvious they don't care. Will NOT be ordering from them again, ever!
Don’t order from Swiss Colony
Don’t order from Swiss Colony! Outrageous shipping prices and can’t get the product on time. Their customer service is NO help. I was told the late product was packed for freshness…it finally showed up very late and guess what wasn’t even fresh. Yes! It was crushed and going stale. Customer service wants to give you a 10% discount off of your next purchase. No! I will not purchase from them again. BUYERS BEWARE, choose another company.
I unfortunately trusted this company
I unfortunately trusted this company to send gifts to my sister in Alaska and my grandchildren in northern Georgia. However, the system they have for sending products to different addresses did not work for me. Despite entering my relatives' addresses correctly, all the items were mistakenly sent to my address, leaving them without their gifts.
When I called customer service, they almost called me a liar. I explained that I had provided the correct addresses, but they didn't believe me. They eventually sent me a disappointing email apologizing for the mistake. Given the high cost of shipping, I was only refunded one dollar for the incorrect shipments. This situation is both regrettable and shameful, especially considering how they treat their customers.
I urge my friends to be cautious. There are many other reputable places online where you can buy these products and receive better customer service.
Wasted money
I ordered a variety of meat sticks, which were tasty.
I also ordered the Baklava because it's always been delicious. Not this time. The bottom was hard and the nut filling was sparse. There wasn't a lot of that honey based glaze either.
Shrinkflation!
My order total was around $73 for these 2 things!
But, they said I needed to pay the shipping which was almost $28! If I didn't pay it, I'd keep getting a $15 late fee. So, I paid it.
So, it was $101 for 2 products + shipping. What a rip-off!
Even if the Baklava was scrumptious, it's still not worth $36+ shipping.
I'll make my own Baklava next time. It will be tastier and cheaper.
No more purchasing from Swiss Colony.
Received as Christmas gift from my…
Received as Christmas gift from my Daughter. I hope she doesn't ever send me this again. Mediocre at best.
Wasted money, and a waste of calories.
It would probably be a welcomed gift if you where in Prison.
Swiss colony package never received
Swiss colony package never received. I did my annual Christmas shopping on the Swiss colony website December 12 when the website said the deadline for standard Christmas shipping was December 15. One of the 9 gifts never made it (and still not there as of this review, 12/31/24). I called Swiss colony who advised me to call Fex Ex on 12/27. I contacted Fed Ex who indicated that Swiss colony had put the wrong label or address on the label, so I called back Swiss colony. I was told they would do a re shipment which should be received by 1/3/25 and they offered me a 10% future discount. I'm sorry, but after I've been a regular customer of Swiss colony for the last several years this is the best compensation you're willing to offer? I'm thinking sending me a free item (similar to the missing item I purchased for my cousin) would be more fair. Fed Ex said they couldn't complete the original shipment as they had the wrong information. The Swiss colony website order clearly shows the correct address. I had it submitted prior to the deadline that you had listed on your website. I followed your rules on your website and then you put the wrong label on the package causing it to not go to the recipient. Swiss colony can keep pointing fingers at the shipper or just take responsibility to offer a long term customer, such as myself, more reasonable compensation. I've made like 5 calls on this to Swiss colony as well as Fed Ex over the last week, plus the time to write this review. If my business to you is only worth 10% fine. I'll go Hickory Farms next Christmas. I'm not happy with how Swiss colony is handling this.
