Meatstick Chef x er bare noget elendigt bras / skrammel, og så til den pris. Skal ha sendt min afsted for anden gang. Kan ikke finde proben igen igen. Den er for følsom og sart. Man kan ikke stole på den. Rækkevidden er også elendig Max 1 meter. Et virkeligt dårligt produkt, absolut ikke pengene værd.

Poor Quality

I recently wrote a poor review on Amazon, which prompted them to replace my defective device. I received the new probe and it does not work at all, I have deleted the app 3 times and reloaded it. I have already used my smoker 3 times since this issue and have to use my wired probes.

Great communication and great product

Great communication. Quick replacement. Replacement unit works 100%. I love using meatsticks - steaks are always cooked to PERFECTION!!!

Setup was not as simple as it could

Setup was not as simple as it could. In order for the bridge to work correctly, you Internet password cannot have any symbols in it. Something that is not mentioned until you contact the helpline.
I wish they would also PRINT instructions and put them in the package.

Actually great customer service

Actually great customer service, I had issue with 1 of my meatsticks ( have 3 and extender ) apparently beyond warranty period. Instead of leaning on that they were happy to replace it. I’ve suggested to many friends about this product love it.

Sensor Failure

Ambient temperature horrific

Ambient temperature on my Weber 22 charcoal grill was 400 on cover. Ambient temperature using another 2 wired probes 395 as close to meat stick probe

Thanks for your review and we apologize for the inconvenience! Though the ambient temp may seem off, it's actually working correctly as it measures the temp directly around the meat, which is often lower than other areas in the grill. My replacement meat stick worked Perfect with some comments.

My replacement meat stick worked PERFECT. As my first ones purchased over a year ago never worked properly, they appeared to be defective. The company was receptive and assisted me in getting some newer upgraded ones.
I deleted the old app and installed the new one. Smoked a Tri Tip to perfection. I have not tried the miniX yet. I don't have a bridge gizmo. But it all cooks work like last night, I will be satisfied.
Some comments:
1. I'm older (67). The App tutorial is way too fast to be useful (for me). I use paper instructions or easy to read texted instructions. It would be nice to have something that clearly defines what the LED lights mean. It's simple? Write it down for dummies.
If there are certain selections in the app that need to be made for the thing to work, make it simple. The app should be set up with those. Then only the phone selections need be set up.
2. When initially during setup, selecting which stick I have for the app to use, it is very confusing. There are a lot of different options and they don't simply "line up" without a guess.
3. I'd say that the MeatStick cooked 3F below what my previously used wired probe cooked. One is more right?
4. The alarm went off 6F below the target temperature as indicated.
Then the DONE, LET'S EAT" alarm went off 3F below the target temperature. I edited the target temperature during the cook and while it changed the target, it still went off 3F below target. Why?
I can make these work.
The app indications are good to determine the changing cook temps. I like that it tells you the time of cook. "Time remaining" really didn't accomplish much as it was always 2 minutes.
Easy to clean.
It worked from inside a Masterbuilt Electric smoker outside the house and into the kitchen.
The app remained open and didn't use a lot of power.
A simple paper showing what the indications mean, what the colors mean, what the app selections mean and why you would choose something else and the differences between the cooks (as far as the app works) would be useful to this older guy.
