they are charging me monthly for 'newsletter' subscription over $6 I never even recieved one single newsletter. The instructions for unsubscribing are a total sham, they lead nowhere and there is no way to stop them from robbing me monty!
I became a member and paid for one month membership to see a news. Which is the same on google. And I can not even read the page because that time a full site banner recommended me to subscribe for one year.
It’s plane fraud!
Mostly biased propaganda news outlet.
Some articles are reposted every day for several days due to lack of any interesting content.
You need paid membership to read most of the articles, which quite frankly is not worth the money.
Plenty of other sources offer better news for free.
I've been using The Local for a while and generally found it pretty interesting and informative. Sadly, however, one of their English 'journalists' is now using it as a podium for a slew of unhinged Germanophobic rants. There's nothing wrong with having constructively critical articles, but they should be balanced, objective, informed and honest, none of which apply to the individual in question. If I want drooling-at-the-mouth bashing of everything German I can get it here in England.
