I signed a contract in my home and later exercised my legal right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
Initially, I was advised that a £300 administration fee was non-refundable. After formally asserting my statutory cancellation rights, my full deposit was eventually refunded.
Customers should be aware that administration or cancellation fees are not permitted when cancelling within 14 days for contracts signed in the home.
If anyone has previously paid the £300 fee in these circumstances, they may wish to contact the company’s director, Carl Mercer, to request a refund.
