Pay as you go top up process has changed, without consultation!!!

Been with Tesco mobile pay as you go for years, but today I tried to top up using the 4 digit number I had stored in my phone since setting it up, it appears I am unable to top up on my handset as I have been changed to an essentials customer, which I had not been notified of, apparently I should of received a Text message informing me of the change, received nothing, the only text I received was to tell me that I needed to have £15 credit for the 27/10/25 to get my unlimited, mins & texts plus 10gb of data, which I did, I topped up as I usually did, but now it's all changed, you have to down load the app to top up, I have spoken to a customer service adviser, he tried to send me texts but they have still not come trough, I have looked on the Tesco Mobile website apparently no issues.
I am old school I do not want my details on my mobile phone, I want to be able to top up as I have always done so, and I object to changes being made without consultation, I found out about the 3G being turned off soon but I am have 4G and apparently my mobile is okay

Really too much to detail

Really too much to detail. In short sent an upgrade that didn’t work. Trying to return from three days of getting phone spoke to several different agents who kept promising that a courier would come and collect then nothing would happen. Every single one of them absolutely hopeless. Genuinely the worst. No customer service whatsoever. Going into a Tesco mobile shop tmrw as a last ditch effort before I take further

Avoid if you live in Cornwall

Avoid if you live in Cornwall. Crap reception. If I knew how bad the internet was, I would have cancelled in the first 14 days, but as they failed to properly transfer my contract to them, that was impossible and now I'm stuck in their contract, even though the phone Internet is not fit for purpose.

My phone broke completely

My phone broke completely - no screen to do anything with. I went on their website to see what to do. This told me to send it to their repair centre. I booked to have my phone picked up on Monday. By Wednesday I had heard nothing. I got in touch and they said they hadn’t received it and this could take up to 10 days! I today - Monday received an email from the repair centre to say they hadn’t received it, so thats taken a week so far! The email then said it could take another 10 days to repair. It is ridiculous to think I could be without my phone for all this time and so I have gone with another company. By the way, the emails look like they are AI and cut and paste with unreadable grammar. Terrible service.

Guys i got contract from them i did…

Guys i got contract from them i did upgrade and they send me a empty box no phone innside but ok i called them investigation goes on 15 days later they called me and told me the phone was delivered even when i send the what was inside the box ( it was empty) so now ive been charged for a phone that i mever get if i cancel my direct debit i will be in debt just dont go with them its really bad campany for tesco my order number is":: ( 24017674) .
Anyway ill be in contact with communication ombudsman about my case as im not paying for something ive never received 🙃

Awful customer care

Awful customer care, I rang the customer care for the first time and the experience has put me off ringing again, the lady I spoke to was very unhelpful, she had a lack of knowledge about the tesco bundles and ignored most of my questions the ones she did answer were wrong, i asked to speak to a manager and she kept me on hold for a long time before coming on to say she couldn't find one, I found the whole experience frustrating and am now considering changing my network.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I am now leaving after being with them for 4 years. They simply do not appreciate their customers. Staff are rude, unhelpful and unfriendly. They refuse to put you through to a Manager and will suspend your service after you missed a payment ONCE in four years because your bank account was switched over. BYE TESCO MOBILE.

Having poor signal and data and getting…

Having poor signal and data and getting worse over a few months now.Tesco sent me another sim to try and solve this but this didn't work at all .Called there 'chat' and after some time of repeating and restarting phone etc they told me to go to store or call help line .I couldn't go to store and the call help line was a complete waste of time Now stuck with no signal paying a monthly contract .I'll wouldn't recommend Tesco for phone or customer service.

They are disgraceful

They are disgraceful! The customer service is awful, the staff couldn’t read properly to find out what the issue was.and they closed my husband’ account while he was still paying the bill! And he lost his nm which has been using for 10 years! Never ever use this company again

Absolutely appalling service!

Absolutely appalling service!! Went on holiday to the USA and couldn’t use my phone, I contacted them before I went and they said it was fine I would still use my phone….i contacted them when I returned home only to be told I should of contacted them while I was out there!! I asked how I was meant to do that when I couldn’t use my phone!! Was left wait on hold for nearly 45 minutes waiting for manager and never got to talk to a manager!!! BE WARNED DONT USE TESCO MOBILE- Their customer service is horrendous!!

Shocking....

Been with Tesco for years on Pay Monthly. After today im off as soon as.....
SIM card decided to stop working. Rang Customer Service - its now offshore, 3 days for a new SIM. I explain i'm waiting for a call from the Hospital regards Cancer care/ monitoring. They suggest i get a Pay as you Go SIM then have my old number transfered over. I get a new SIM, they then tell me it has to be topped up by £10 to work. Ok, heres my card details- no you need a voucher. No work around, no help, no deducting my pay monthly- just a cant do attitude. Go out again to get a voucher. Top it up then hope they will transfer the number.All afternoon this took, no common sense used, no understanding, not much help. Offer of £30 credit but i just wanted help getting my phone running again because of the hospital calls. No empathy, reading off a script- and sticking to it, with a lack of info leading to multiple visits to Tesco stores. Disappointed and upset. Thought better of Tesco

Tesco Mobile Customer Service - USELESS
Tried to query my billing now that my contract is coming to an end. I rang 4455 as instructed and was advised I would be sent a text so I could chat with an advisor. Well that didn't work !
So Irang again and this time went through the automated process - eventually got put through to an advisor - in India ! HERE WE GO. She couldn't comprehend my simple question of how much my next bill would be. She couldnt explain when my next bill would be debited from my bank. Why oh why do these companies insist on outsourcing their support to cheap labour abroad. Absolutely SHOCKING.

Terminated contract that was still being.used, not escalating issues when they say they are going to

What went wrong this time? Well last time and month ago, my son wanted to upgrade his phone,which was on my contract, he wanted to keep his old number! He got a new phone was told 24 hours and his number would work on his new sim. In 24 hours that didnt happen, they deleted my number and also my contract! Said my son will have to wait 24 hours for for his new number to work also they would escalate my query and get my number put back on, 24 hours later no escalation, another 24 hours was told I would have to have a sim pay as you go because they terminated my contract, I had pay as you go sim and had to wait another 48 hours to get my old.number a total of a week waiting, it eventually came on but knowing only had a few weeks left on the sim, decided to get a new contract, they said old number will go on new sim when I put it in phone in 24 hours, ok, 24 hours later new phone doesnt work with new sim, they out this sim as pay as you go and my old sim still had my number on, put that in new phone could make calls but not receive calls or text. Phoned customer service again, after 50mins they are going to escalate it, this will take 4/5 days so put 10 credit on new sim in old phone, phoned back today 5 days later to be told.it hasn't been escalated!!! Now habe to wait for it to be escalated again and im supposed to get a phone call within 24 hours, I wont hold my breath.How can they keep getting it so wrong?
If the was a zero star I would use that,if this doesnt get resolved this time I will give them it back, this has been disgusting service tesco mobile.yoy should be ashamed of yourself.

Customer service people

The network is fine. I've been with Tesco mobile for over ten years. But where in hell have they opened the new customer service hub? I asked for a monthly bill or statement to be sent to my email address. I was told my tesco account was closed in 2014 and was told it's not a bank with a tone that is unacceptable. Very rude call centre personal.
