It would be helpful if you could get a PERSON to talk to you!!! not a ROBOT!! who informs you they will get another ????? (whoever) to get back to you, which NEVER HAPPENS, so you then you PHONE them up and after some questions asked by them, you get the same answer, " they will get back in touch" which again they NEVER DO!! It seems to me that this company is only interested in the customers they think will pay them money!!!

I had a new broadband provider knock on my door and they sent an enquiry to Talk Talk to find out when my contract was ending.
Later, I got a call from the Talk Talk "Loyalty Department" and the way the guy spoke was nothing short of disgusting.
Despite telling him that I am aware I am in contract and I am not switching, and it was the other provider that sent this enquiry, he continued to talk to me like I was a school kid in a truly condescending and patronising tone.
Despite telling him he needs to watch how is speaking to me, he continued to do so and then hung up on me!
Pathetic - Talk Talk should shut down your so called Loyalty Department. This has made be 200% sure I will be NEVER renew my contract with Talk Talk ever again. Absolutely pathetic!

I am FUMING
I am FUMING! In June this year 2025 I told TalkTalk that I was getting buffering issues on my tv and pc. They offered me a cheaper deal of 32 pounds and a fibre fast 500 deal. A faster one then what I have which is 80 mbps for 42 pounds a month it was .
Virgin offered me the 29.99 per month deal for 512 Mbps . No brainer.
I was still going to stay with talk talk when they offered to up the internet speed and give a cheaper price but on the 25th of June , when the engineer was due to come to install the new router which was to arrive two days prior, but what happened was a lady from TalkTalk called me and said that the offer was cancelled! That’s all she said , the order was cancelled and do you wish to proceed staying with us?
I said I’m seriously not happy with this as what’s the reason and who cancelled the deal? She said I don’t know.
So I’m trying hard to cancel but talk talk are pulling some dirty tricks with me.
I was on a live chat today to try to cancel the service and I wrote everything to them and kept the whole script for evidence for the ombudsman later. A man phoned me and said let’s talk on the phone instead! Strange . He would I assume just say then that we came to a compromise as they have me recorded but I wouldn’t have any proof but the chat , you can screenshot along the way or press that save sign at the top of your phone and send to your email address.
He put me in a Que of 5 people and it took too long being Autistic and all to have to suffer their loud music and the wait.
A lady visited the live chat 18 minutes after I had been awaiting on a response. They plan to make you fed up is my thought so you give up.
She said can we speak from where we were before and the next second she said, as I haven’t heard a response from you!!!! I haven’t ended the chat session.
What an absolute
So as a last resort tomorrow I will phone them although I have the live chat scrip and I will notify them that I also will be recording the phone conversation as they tell me they do that with us customers. I need to as for evidence purpose they do not behave trust worthy to me anyway and I think to many to be fair.
I will write here again tomorrow after the phone call to let you know how that went.
Imagine them just calling you, when you have made it clear to them that you’re Autistic and don’t do well with phones , Anxious and then a sudden call from some man that I was bombarded by via this behaviour.

What an experience. Dreadful. I wasted a whole morning yesterday 03/09/2025 trying to cancel my contract with them. Should have been so simple. I asked about their social tariff as I had seen on Martin Lewis website they offer help but they said no and they couldn't match the brilliant price BT offered me. I spoke to their chatbot who then passed me to a member of staff ( a real human!!!) they then passed me to another human still couldn't help so I cancelled . Then had a huge string of messages from them on my mobile even though I asked the person to email me they said no I had to reply to their texts, even though I explained it was my emergency phone. Very aggressive marketing. No wonder they've got such a horrendous reputation. I will never use them again and I would advise others to think very carefully before entering into contract with them. They finally sent me an email saying they accepted my cancellation but I would have to return their equipment. Which I'm happy to do although most companies don't bother to ask for it back. They really are sore losers!!!

Phoned the to tell them I was cancelling my contract with them the lady who answered I had a problem understanding her all I got was ill send you a code so we can get to the problem they d8 this all the time I told her don't send the code she kept repeating finely I said do you not understand English she said yes the I replied how come when I say don't send me a code yes means yes no means no talk talk jus goes through a lot of rigmarole instead of putting you in touch with someone who can sort the problem out straight away I formed the lady that I was leaving and stopping payment then I phoned the bank to stop any payment which I expanded why they immediately cancelled my direct debit
Worst customer service and mistreatment
I have been on a call for an hour with 2 rude and incompetent agents .Very abrasive and abrupt, this is not customer care. Signing up with Talk talk was the worst mistake.

My step father died on 1st April my mum contacted talk talk to change all into her name . They charged her fees for this and month up front . Then end may , there was a bill come in for my step father with late payment fee on top of it . My mum rang talk talk said I’ve paid this changed everything over he can’t pay he died . Then the lovely on customer service (margie ) said that’s okay we will go probate . For a bill he shouldn’t have got as he had died . And my mum took it over . Talk about shambles and compassion. For people and causing stress . For no reason . So please avoid this vile company

On the 18th of August you wrote to me about my broadband and telephone line you are fully aware that I changed my broadband to another.however,the last paragraph clearly states and I quote you can keep the land-line and your phone no 01538383020.you sent me a bill yesterday which I promley paid.however when I come to use the phone today younhad disconnected it. The line was dead. You are clearly in breach of contract. You will be receiving a solicitors letter in due course and court proceedings will be commenced in due course. It has always been quite clear to you that our phone line was required for medical reasons. Shame on you,this company could not run a bath or organise a pee up in a brewery it is no wonder you have lost over 400,000customers plus one more

Spent hours on chat to resolve poor quality signal. Promised to phone me back never did. The worst supplier I have ever dealt with . Shocking treatment can wait till I am out of contract so as I can change to a company I can talk to.

I have been sent a bill for a service I never signed up for and Talk Talk is now threatening to report me to credit reference agencies if I do not pay. James Smith, chief executive, has not acknowledged my emails; and my letter to Sir Charles Dunstone has been ignored. Talk Talk is not signed up to the communications ombudsman, so there appears nothing more I can do. I wish that Trustpilot would introduce a minus stars assessment. Avoid this company like the plague.

Cruel and horrible treatment of my 100 year old uncle who had a stroke a few weeks ago
I only gave one star because I had to to comment . My beautiful uncle suffered a stroke some weeks ago on the eve of his hundredth Birthday. It's affected his cognitive abilities and left him nearly deaf . He's so vulnerable. He asked me to take a look at his talk talk account as he was paying £40 per month . I looked and £28 of the bill he is getting is under Fast fibre Broadband . He doesn't have broadband just a phone line his calls are pennies he has no internet and he wants internet so he can video call people and they can video call him . I called talk talk for an explanation. They said they just called the account that name as he was moved to them from shell and it was so he could keep his phone line 🤔. I told them he wants a better deal but first they said we have to go security . I told her my uncle was unable to hear right on the phone and was struggling with his speech . She said oh well we can't do nothing so I had to get my uncle to answer questions he looked blankly at me and he couldn't hear what she was saying I had to prompt him to answer and he struggled. He gave her his permission for me to talk for him . I was upset that I had to put him through that and told her the whole situation. It was going to never be a problem after that day . A new contract was drawn up for £26.93 a month including his phone line a broadband while she talked about 100 miles an hour in a very noisy call centre. Two weeks passed and nothing happened. My uncle was feeling upset and asking what is the problem? I contacted them again from my own house and I was back to square one we can't tell you nothing until you have security clearance the man that day was a little bit more empathetic and he gave me a code to my phone . I had to go to my uncles who's an hour away and phone from his house again and yes he was put through this all over again I was losing it it was so upsetting . I was then told again this will never happen again then she said we don't have that contract which was a lie because the agent that gave me the code told me he could see the contract for £26. 93 . So from I've left my home to get to my uncles it disappeared .after another two hours of stress and security checks and a very stressed out 100 year old stroke victim . Another contract was made up this time for £27.00 for the same deal.. again I got all the sales patter and buttering up . She assured me the contract would be in my email when I got home and also there would be paperwork sent to my uncle . I got home on Tues and my heart sank as there was no email 😩. In the middle of all this I raised an official complaint and have had these calls from Talk Talk just one ring so I can't answer so I have to get in touch with them . That was 6 20 this evening and at 10,pm I had to give up because they blocked me out of my uncles account for three days 😔. So six weeks on I've been put in a never ending loop. No proper apology to my uncle no new contract .no router. I have drafted another complaint now and the same will be sent to Oftcom because this is no longer about contracts it is about common sense and decency and the care of an elderly customer and his dignity . He got a birthday card from the King of England. A letter from The Irish President for his birthday yet Talk Talk have treated him and I like total garbage. I am of the opinion now that talk talk can't be arsed because he's just an old man in thier eyes . I'm totally disgusted and I'm very very angry. I will take this all the way because no one treats my little legend of an uncle like that . Shame shame shame on you Talk talk😔 what's made me even more angry is that bt offered the same deal for £23 and decent customer care but Talk talk agent persuaded him to stay with them . Big Mistake ! If my uncle didnt have me to advocate for him he wouldn't be able to have any contract . I also question taking £40 a month for a phone line but calling it super fast broadband but not giving him broadband it stinks . So does losing a contract and then making a mistake on the second one. and leaving us hanging again for two weeks . Then the one ring call supposed to be from a manager regarding my complaint then I phoned straight back and I'm back in the never ending loop. To lie to us once was bad to do it three times is unacceptable and someone needs to sort this out . Talk talk haven't and I don't think they ever will . My worry is leaving my uncle without a phone while I get him back to BT. I feel sorry for any elderly customer now that have to deal with this incompetence and I am looking at starting a campaign to bring this all to light. There should have been one simple form to fill to give me permission instead they sent an email saying I have to get power of attorney and they will speak to me then but that is a complicated process so it's become an impossible situation. I will ring BT tomorrow I wish I had taken the deal they offered in the first instance and this would be all sorted weeks ago

Most frustrating company to deal with
My name has been put against an account which is not mine and the absolute rigmarole I am going through to get it removed is astounding.
They wanted proof of address from August 2017, bills from the internet provider I had from August 2017 to date, my ID and a crime reference number.
You have to do everything through email and wait for 2 days to get any response - first email to them gave them proof of ID and address with a message to say I had to wait until Monday for the details from the internet provider as it was a weekend and that I could not do the crime report as I needed further information from them.
The reply was telling me that I had not provided the details from the internet provider and that I had not provided a crime reference number. I answered stating that they needed to read my previous email.
After another 2 days I got an email giving me the information I needed to complete the crime report. I completed this and received an email to say it was not for me to report as it was Talk Talk who have been defrauded!! What a waste of time.
I have managed to get all the evidence they need apart from the bills from my internet service provider - I have an email from them instead stating I have been a customer of there's at my address since March 2017. This does not seem to be satisfactory for them.
Shoddy timescales, unrealistic expectations of what can be provided and being treated like the person who has defrauded them is just not good.
It even turns out that it is not for an account from them just one they have inherited from the Post Office so they cannot give much information to me about this.
If this is how they treat people I am glad that I use another ISP. Definitely would not use their services at all!!
