HELLO!
HELLO!! I would like to know about the differences between the standard and comfort categories.
I am looking for insurance for my trips and they highly recommend it.
I will go to Spain but I want to travel around Europe and I will do an Erasmus in Italy, so which of these two options should I choose for the insurance?

1) Medical Insurance for International Students in Spain
2)International Medical Insurance for Students in Europe.

If you are staying for a shorter duration, the one for Europe will cover medical emergencies in Spain and the Schengen area. I had a travel insurance for my wife…

I had a travel insurance for my wife and two children. My wife felt from the stairs during her stay in the country they staid during the holidays. From the doctor she had to get a MRI-scan for her back and I claimed the cost of this MRI-scan to Swiss Insurance. The claim is Insurance ITVI-378472. I claimed it on 13th Sept 2022 and till now I heart nothing from Swiss Care about paying the cost or not. A very unreliable company. Do not trust this company

Not bad, could assess their partners better.

Swisscare itself seems to be a middle man that simply deals with sign ups and when a claim actually needs to happen, they pass it off to a partner company. This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it weren't for the fact that as soon as the claim is passed on, Swisscare seem to lose interest in the claim, even though you have to use their app to manage your claim and you originally signed up to be their customer. The customer service at Swisscare is pretty good and their app is certainly useable. However, I feel like they should pay more attention to a claim as it's being processed and perhaps proactively reach out to individuals who are dealing with their partners to make sure that things are being dealt with appropriately and that their customer feels like they are being supported before a problem arises. This way they will be thought of better and they can also hold their partners more accountable.

My Positive Experience!

A few years ago, when I decided to travel from W. Africa to China for a couple of weeks, I purchased a travel insurance policy. When people asked me why, I told them that in case I died during the trip, I didn't want my parents to bear the burden of repatriating my body. I was made fun of by third parties who saw no logical reason for a person in her 20s to do so.
However, anything can happen; so, I rather be safe than sorry. But obviously, purchasing a policy is just the tip of the iceberg, purchasing with the right insurer is even more important.

This is why I am writing this review. I am extremely satisfied with Swisscare.
Firstly, purchasing a policy from Swisscare was an instantaneous, fluid process. Since I purchased their policy, I have used the Swisscare policy document for a visa application outside of Europe as well as part of an administrative filing within Europe. There has never been any single question or objection about the validity of the policy. This indicates that Swisscare is a well-known brand. Secondly, since I purchased my policy, I have had to seek medical attention and so, I have had to file the reimbursement claim. This process was also straightforward.
Thirdly, there was an issue with the claim that I submitted to Swisscare’s partner who managed my policy. When the issue was brought to Swisscare’s attention, Swisscare contacted me within the hour after being informed. Within 24 hours, the matter was significantly improved in my favor. And within 72 business hours, the matter was permanently resolved.
I am satisfied with Swisscare’s product, purchasing and claim processes. But most importantly, I am satisfied with Swisscare’s response.

When I purchase an insurance policy, I am not looking to get sick or to have an accident. But if I do, I would like to be assisted. With their response, Swisscare has brought me peace of mind, and this is what I am looking for in every insurer that I purchase from.

WORST INSURANCE IN EUROPE!

I'm a student form the EU, currently studying abroad.
I got the student coverage for 6 months. And currently got a second policy for another 6 months.

So, the first 6 months were ok, I made some outpatient treatment claims, for very basic stuff, like stomach upset, cold, some conjunctivitis.

They were very basic costs, maybe like 100 Euros per claim, much cheaper than the EU for sure. So, I made the claims had no issues, went on with my life

Then... I recently got a second policy from January to June 2022. I made another very basic claim for conjunctivitis.

And guess what? They refused to pay it because, now they count it as a chronic or pre-condition from the first policy? Wow that sounds like a lot of nonsense. Still very basic outpatient costs 100-150 euros, for acute conjunctivitis during winter which is very common.

They say that, it's a pre condition, a planned visit and not emergency treatment.

They wrote me a very long email trying to excuse themselves for why they are not paying my claim.

Wow I'm utterly shocked, it's a simple outpatient claim and they can't afford to pay it? I can't even imagine what would happen if I had a real emergency and I was in the hospital and I really needed the insurance.

So this company is extremely unreliable and they will try to weasel out themselves to not pay your claims.

They also said that my policy was not valid.

Wow they are trying really hard not to pay a simple claim. I'm still in shock.

Stay away from this company, much better options out there.

Very disappointed.

Bad plan

I’m in need of emergency care, but I don’t know which hospital to go to, the website and the app don’t have the list of the medical network, which is absurd. I emailed yesterday asking which hospitals in Sevilla accept the plan and appears an MSG that says that the response time is up to 3 useful days. Do you think an emergency can wait 3 useful days for a simple answer? The person dies and the answer is not enough.

It was even impossible to upload the claim. Should I say they even didn't intend to pay? And how it is possible that all bad reviews disappiared from google?

However, not a problem, you can also submit your claims by email directly to the claim service. All information is available in your customer account. Customer service is a bad joke!

I had a contract with them for 3 years in which I only received the quarterly payment account. When I had to end the contract I was not considered at all, I had to write 8 emails and each time it seemed that no one was interested in reading them, giving me things that had nothing to do with the demand. The customer service is a horror, I do not recommend it at all.

Swisscare cancellation

It's been about 1 year that I had some issues with Swisscare regarding the cancellation of my premium. After several contacts made, the matter was not resolved at all. But still, in such companies, there are a number of dedicated and responsible personnel who care about the customers' problems. In less than two weeks, my issue is resolved in a fully respected manner. I would like to thank Ms. Carolina Souviron who wanted to hear the story from my point of view and I appreciate her for such dedication and responsibility. I give a 5 star.
