We approached SMS initially for a mould survey as our daughter was suffering from mould-related illness and we wanted to find out if this was related to mould in our house. The survey indicated that we likely had hidden mould in our loft. SMS recommended a company who could help us with testing and the considerable investigation and remediation required. We discovered extensive mould all over the loft, hidden behind the plasterboard with no smell at all. This was caused by poorly installed insulation many years ago. We were supported compassionately by Carl throughout the process and he visited the site several times during the remediation out of his own volition. He has always responded promptly to messages and calls and is clearly extremely knowledgeable and passionate about eradicating mould in a safe way and helping his clients live in a health-promoting environment. Following remediation, Carl, Stuart and their team installed new vents in both bathrooms and refitted insulation in the loft. They also remediated a cupboard that contained historic damp and mould using airscrubbers and Hepa vacuums. The whole team have been friendly and courteous and I am happy to recommend the company to others looking for mould and damp surveys, as well as ventilation upgrades and insulation installation.
