Complete scam of a company! Filled for legal action.

An ex employee told me that the company is trading under a different name now and has moved locations. Please be mindful of both firms and save your money.

It's really spam company. All kind of formalities completed even fees and test done but not yet getting any single job or shooting. May be they are bankruptcy company.

This company is a sham! Davit is a thief who steals money and shows nothing for it, goes for workers and customers, both are treated terribly and he has no respect for anyone!

Sun Studio advertised the job position on Indeed promising good money and other benefits.

Davit and his supervisors encourage staff to work 14+hours daily shift and when the time comes to get paid he comes up with excuses today tomorrow next week etc…

All of his workers have the same problem, some are owed thousands!! He tricks staff by promising payment to make them work but then doesn’t pay. We are all self-employed and so we are not protected by the law. I myself stopped working the monent he didn’t pay up and started playing games but it’s been over 2 months and still nothing. I have taken legal action but nothing scares this guy!!

Reading the reviews it seems that he takes customers money and pockets it for himself as he isn’t paying his labour costs.

Stay away from this company whether you are a customer or worker!!

If we could give Sunstudios zero stars, we would. This company has been, without a doubt, the worst partner we have ever worked with in our years of industry experience. The level of incompetence, dishonesty, and total lack of professionalism displayed by Sunstudios, particularly by the owner, Davit Tumanyan, and Engineer Dilaver Ilhan, has been shocking.
We entrusted them with a staircase installation, and from the very start, they failed to deliver on EVERY PROMISE. Deadlines were missed repeatedly, showing a complete disregard for our project schedule and our time. Despite numerous emails, phone calls, and even office visits, they have been unreliable, uncommunicative, and unprofessional. It’s as if they have no interest in fulfilling the work they were contracted and paid to do.
Sunstudios insists on upfront payment, and once paid, they hold the project hostage. At one point, Davit even threatened to abandon the job entirely, essentially blackmailing us. The level of incompetence is astounding either they fail to show up, or when they do, the work is left half-finished and substandard. They even claimed to have sent us email confirmations, yet NOTHING was ever received. Their dishonesty is appalling.
Our project has been delayed for MONTHS due to their utter failure to meet any commitments. Their disregard for communication, endless excuses, and lack of professionalism have resulted in major project delays, added stress, and significant additional costs.
Save yourself the frustration, money, and headache do not engage with Sunstudios. We are moving forward without them and will take every legal measure to recover the losses incurred by their negligence. Sunstudios has been an expensive and regrettable mistake. AVOID them at all costs!

Wey bad company to deal with. Left me in total mess . Vanished with money and don’t even return calls. David the owner of this company is biggest crook. Never thrust them. I can show anyone willing to give them work my house which they left in mess.please avoid them

Please anyone reading these reviews the one star negative reviews are completely accurate this business is no longer running at the address in Brentford & they are clearing out the unit as I type this if you have given any money to them I am afraid you are in for some bad news as that cash is likely gone with nothing to show for it.

We have parted with £10,770 and have nothing to show for it.
Avoid at all costs.

We first met with Ron from Sun Studio in February 2024. We were slightly sceptical as there were some bad reviews, but also some positive. We were given a few references who we spoke with which gave us some comfort, so we decided to place an order.

At first they were professional, Dilo the designer came to our house and measured up and then produced drawings which we signed off. They delivered and installed the main structure of the staircase which was OK. We then paid a further amount for them to manufacture and supply the oak treads, which again they supplied and partially installed.

They promised they would complete the oak treads when they came to fit the glass balustrades. We therefore paid a further £3300 for the glass balustrades and were promised that they would deliver and install in approximately 6 weeks time.

The installation date came and went and despite numerous promises they never turned up. Ron and Dilo are no longer contactable and have avoided all communication. We tried to contact the owner Davit who also promised that the stairs would be completed. Two months have now passed and they're all totally uncontactable.

We are approximately £4500 out of pocket.

DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY, IT IS FRAUDULENT.

I strongly urge everyone to avoid this company at all costs! There are now many victims, myself included. In my case, I was introduced to them through my contractor to complete work on a staircase and build a new toilet partition. We dealt with a man named Ron, who seemed professional at first.

They requested an upfront payment to perform the initial survey, which appeared standard. However, after the survey was done, they asked for additional payments to begin manufacturing—claiming this was a routine part of their process. By this point, I had paid 80% of the total cost, around £11,000. They were very persuasive, emphasizing their "quick" 5-week turnaround, which they claimed would begin as soon as they received payment.

But once the payment was made, they completely disappeared. Calls were ignored, WhatsApp messages went unanswered, and emails were left with no response. On two rare occasions, I did manage to get replies, but they were just filled with excuses about supposed delays due to "unexpected circumstances," urging me to be patient.

I then asked for specific dates to schedule the work. After that, I NEVER heard from them again.

This company is nothing but a scam. Do not fall victim like I did. I’m sharing my experience to warn others and prevent more people from losing their hard-earned money.

Sun studio are fraudulent company. AVOID AVOID AVOID. They will ask for deposit and initial payments and then ignore all communication and leave you in limbo. This is an evil company by founder and director Davit Tumanyan. Tens of thousands of pounds have been lost dealing with Sun studio, they are running a scam. Stay away if you care about your funds

I will be filing criminal reports in conjunction with taking legal action. We have paid over £40k, and have been totally ghosted. The installation date came and went months ago, and no member of the team will even return calls. I have been to their offices many times to try and get them to install, and receive promises that are never kept.

Total scammers. Paid over £13K for stairs and 2 skylights.
They only fitted the Steal steps which was a crap job that my builder had to fix. No glass, U- channels, end caps, no colour of the steps, Just took the money and ran away.
Their factory in Brentford seems to be closed as well so it does seem they are no longer in business. The company vans were dumped there with number plates ripped off.
Owner Davit's Green Mclaren is no longer to be seen which means he has most probably moved abroad.

I had a staircase fitted last week. This is the report from my builder:
Very poor finish to all timber aspects, it appears to have received only one coat of stain with no actual finish product applied.
The handrail in not fixed at the end that meets the wall at all 3no abutments
Treads to many of the steps appear to be loose and not fixed to the metal, this will only get worse with time.
The Glass to the rise appears not to line up with each other leading to the handrail not covering the glass
The hand rail is loose to the rise where it does not meet the glass
The end caps are not fitted square (not as per the drawing as the drawing shows solid steps not caps over the glass)
The end caps are already coming loose with one not stuck anymore.
The first 3no steps are without any infill in-between each step, this again is not as per the drawing
There is a pice of old 4x2 stuck under the first step
The handrail joints have been sanded very poorly leaving a obvious sign of defect to the section of timber.
The 4th step appears to have the groove for the light in the correct place, the remaining of the rise has the groove in a different place to almost every step, this will result in the underside of the stairs being lit up not the steps as designed, this could also be very dangerous when coming down the stairs and will need to accessed before installation.
I have written to Sun Studio and no reply so we will start legal proceedings today. I gather new clients are being told that these bad reviews are from competitors but I can vouch for every 1 star review here. There are many angry people out there. We have a dream home and a staircase which is an embarrassment. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS US.

I have a contract with Sun Studio.London to supply and install:

1) Juliet Balcony Glass & Fittings,
2) Thermally Broken Sky Light Glass & Fittings
3) External Balcony Balustrade Glass & Fittings
4) Zig-Zag Staircase with Glass Balustrade & Fittings

I paid a substantial deposit.

Sun Studio completed Items 1, 2 and 3 to a reasonable standard (except top trim to Item 3).

Sun Studio informed me on 25 March 2024 that Item 4 was being manufactured and installation would start 27 May 2024, a date that I had requested. However, Sun Studio didn’t turn up on site and have since failed to meet two (2) new start dates they proposed; 17 June and 8 July 2024. Dilaver IIhan (Dilo) had sent me a whatsapp confirming the 17 June start date based on which I had the temporary staircase removed the Friday prior.

I went to Sun Studios later on 17 June 2024, met Rounak Hemmady and followed him through the workshop in his quest to locate Dilo. The quietness in the workshop was overwhelming, idle machinery, no visible materials and workers. Excuses, reasons, sob stories, etc given by Dilo and Ronouk were clearly coordinated and well-rehearsed but still they assured me that work would start on 8 July 2024. Unsurprisingly, this date came and went; they didn't turn up. Dilo sent a whatsapp saying they plan to start later in the week, on the Thursday he whasapp’d to say ‘I’m on my way’. He didn’t turn up, must have got lost en-route!

Subsequent calls and whatsapps to Dilo and Ronouk go unanswered, although Rounak did whatsapp claiming he doesn’t control the schedule and is fed up with being stuck in the middle of this s..t show (his own words). Not sure if I believe this, in fact I don’t. He is the face and voice of Sun Studio; a master at extracting vast amounts of money from honest, hardworking customers.

I have visited Sun Studio twice since their last no show, the first time was late morning but learnt that workers arrive around 7.00am and leave an hour or so later. Peeking through the shutter window I couldn’t see any activity in the workshop. The next day I was met by Sulieman (?), a new designer who didn’t know much about anything although he’d heard about difficulties some customers were facing. Other than that, the gentleman sweeping the workshop floor quickly disappeared when he saw me looking through the shutter. I met another disgruntled customer in the car park on both days.

It’s highly unlikely that Sun Studio have purchased materials for my staircase, I’ve not received and evidence from them to prove otherwise hence their intentions are dubious. I still don’t have safe access to the upper floors in my new build, but I won’t be blackmailed into handing over any more money. Of more concern, it’s becoming clear that none of Sun Studio’s installations are building regulations compliant. This will prove costly in the long-run to achieve local authority sign-off.

I visited Sun Studio several times during 2023 before signing the contract as part of my due diligence, on each occasion the office looked fully manned, and the workshop active. My recent visits proved otherwise; it seems that most employees left earlier this year, company vehicles are no longer seen in the car park and virtually no activity happens in the workshop nowadays (other than cleaning, perhaps). This decline is becoming common knowledge in the industry.

My encounter with Sun Studio has quickly escalated into an absolute nightmare, I fear the worst is still to come. Sun Studios operation is far from being professional, in fact it’s totally unprofessional. Both Dilo and Ronouk stood in their office on 17 June 2024 and blatantly lied to my face about ‘deadlines’ and ‘commitment’. Perhaps their understanding of both words differs from other people. In my humble opinion, I believe they have no hesitation in acting dishonestly. I’ve not heard from Davit.

Stay away from Sun Studio to save yourself from the headache and misery that I am currently enduring.

Sun Studio London is a total scam. The owner, Davit, is a sweet talker and their whole team promises a lot and take money in advance. I got lucky that they finished my stairs installation but for the last 6 months, they have taken the advance for crittall doors and run away. No answer to emails or phone calls and the workshop is shut. I have given up hope and now intend to pursue through courts to claim some money back.

Scammers!!! Don’t use these guys! Delay after delay after delay….Paid them over £10k & 6 months later the job is unfinished & not at all the quality I paid for! They keep messaging saying they are busy & will come but then never do… i have pics of how bad the finish is & the black paint coming off their work… do not use if you value your time, money & sanity!
