At first, I thought the summer Summit STEM Fellowship program would be like any other, but once I joined, I realized how unique and valuable it really is. The webinars, fireside chats, and community all gave me so much knowledge and inspiration, and what stood out the most was the chance to receive feedback from mentors who were always supportive and encouraging. Their guidance opened my eyes to new opportunities in STEM and inspired me to start exploring passion projects that I had never considered before. I not only learned practical skills, like how to connect with mentors and think like a researcher, but I also built confidence in myself and discovered new interests that continue to motivate me. The supportive community made me feel part of something bigger, and every session left me with insights I could use right away. This program has truly changed how I see my future, and I cannot wait to come back again next year to keep learning and growing!

This fellowship has been one of the best programs I have ever done! It was filled with so many good experiences and such kind people. Before doing this fellowship, I had no idea of how to bring my ideas to life or what kinds of paths I could take in my fields of interests. However, after listening to the various fireside chats and career panels I was exposed to so many different approaches to similar goals. I was not only able to learn about what I was interested in, but also a greater realm of the STEM world. All the mentors were so nice and willing to meet of you had questions. I felt so supported and understood by my peers and mentors. From playing games as a group, getting to know people from different places, or sending funny pet pictures, we built a truly unique community. I am so grateful to have been a part of this special community, and I look forward to seeing how much more it grows!!💙

I am incredibly grateful to have had been a part of the Summit Stem 2025 Session 1 program. This was an incredible experience for me and allowed me to truly explore and deepen my passion for STEM and has heavily encouraged me to expand my knowledge outside of the program, and overall to have a positively impacted view on my current life in school. As an international student of the program from Australia alongside many other fellows in the program, I was able to connect with hundreds of people from all across the world, especially the fellows joining from America, and it was interesting to learn about the differences in terms of school systems, education, universities, and the STEM industry beyond education. These connections were incredibly important and has left me with the view that there is so much more out there than what I originally thought there was. This program has shown me that there is whole world of opportunity and has encouraged me to explore STEM later in life around all parts of the world, connecting with people beyond high school and as I pursue a career beyond education.

The Summit Stem Fellowship was an incredibly memorable and inspiring experience for me. I gained valuable knowledge that will benefit me throughout high school, the college application process, and beyond. I connected with students from around the world who had the same interests, hobbies and aspirations as me, with whom I could collaborate on projects and initiatives. I also got to meet so many helpful mentors, with unique life experiences, who showed me the reality of having an education and career in STEM, things that can't be taught in a school. I especially loved the career panels, specifically the Engineering and Computer Science panels, which helped me learn about what my life could potentially resemble in the future. I'm so excited to continue making connections and sharing my ideas in the Alumni Community in the future. The Summit Stem Fellowship was an amazing opportunity for me in so many ways. It has helped me become more productive, confident and even inspired me to start my own passion project. I'm so grateful I got to be part of such a supportive and life-changing community this summer!

My name is Maria Ma, and I’m a 2025 SSF Alum. SSF has really impacted me as a person through its inspirational talks and hardworking staff. I personally enjoyed the fireside chats the most, with amazing speakers and thoughtful ideas. I thoroughly enjoyed this camp and recommend it to anyone who has an interest in STEM.

The fellowship is an incredible opportunity for any STEM student, not only for the valuable life lessons, but also the connections and possibilities it brings. In the span of a few weeks, each fellow is given advice in all areas, from science to college applications to motivation, as well as the chance to learn from and connect with incredible mentors. By the end of the program, I was left with a binder full of knowledge, a lifelong connection to some amazingly talented and kind people, and the skill set to go out and make a difference. For any student who wants to pursue a career in STEM, to connect with the future generation of scientists, or simply to get advice on any number of topics, I cannot recommend applying to the Summit Stem Fellowship enough.

The Summit STEM Fellowship exceeded my expectations, it was more inspiring, fulfilling, and wide-ranging than I imagined. During this program, I loved meeting so many inspiring people; from meeting Mentors in their Fireside chats, STEM Shorts, or Career panels, to meeting other fellows in Game Nights and on Ed Stem, I feel like I’ve joined a community of people both fascinated by STEM and also who have a love of learning. While some Chats covered experiences in Medical School and Engineering, others were focused on anything from writing a book to the chemistry of magnets to Labor Economics. This combination of fascinating topics, people, and rigor is not something you can find anywhere else during high school.

Participating in the Summit STEM Fellowship Program was an incredibly impactful experience for me. Isabella’s fireside chat on turning ideas into reality especially stood out as it motivated me to take the leap and start my own podcast, High School Pathfinder: For the Future You. For each of the deliverables, I received very detailed and thoughtful feedback from Justine, which pushed me to improve and made the learning process even more valuable. On top of that, I also loved the trivia sessions, coffeeside chats, and all the other events! They were both fun and informative, and they helped me connect with others in meaningful ways. Overall, this program really opened my eyes and showed me that I can actually bring my ideas to life. I’ll definitely carry the lessons, skills, and inspiration I’ve gained from this program with me into the future, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow and take real steps toward their goals!

Joining the Summit STEM Fellowship was a unique, reshaping and refreshing experience for me. The program dived deep into many areas that each contributes to a piece on how to learn to be successful. Fireside chats are one of my favorite sessions. It covers various STEM topics connected with real life, uplifting stories from ideas to true science or engineering projects in high school, how to start and implement your initiative and make impact, and most importantly, how to improve on time management. The program, advice from mentors, and discussion with peer students help me think about and better prepare for starting my high school journey. It boosted my confidence and motivation to take more challenges in the years ahead and use to STEM to help people around.

Summit Stem Fellowship gave me the opportunity to take my learning beyond the classroom. I was mentored from professionals all over the country not only about academia, but real world skills, something incredibly powerful. They give students the opportunity to experience various career paths from engineering, to medical professions, and everything in between. I loved the time that I spent this past summer with the fellowship. Being part of the Summit STEM Fellowship was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about different career paths, internships, and volunteering, and I got so many helpful tips from mentors along the way. It also gave me the chance to meet new people and even start my own passion projects. Everyone in the program is so kind and supportive - you never have to be afraid to reach out for advice!

This program was such a valuable experience for me. Not only did I get to learn about STEM-related topics, but I also gained important life skills like time management, preparing for college, and how to find and apply for scholarships. I feel much more prepared for the future after going through this program. Another highlight was meeting so many amazing people - and some who I am still connected with today- and having the chance to hear from mentors who offered advice and inspiration. Overall, this program gave me knowledge, confidence, and connections that I know will help me in the years ahead.

I’d always wondered if there was a program that could truly change the course of my future, one that offered resources, meaningful lessons I could carry forward, and the flexibility to fit my schedule. During my sophomore summer (2025), I finally found it. The Summit STEM Fellowship was a life-changing experience. It connected me with bright, like-minded students. We were also paired with mentors from top universities who guided me on how to make a genuine, positive impact through interactive, hands-on experiences. I would completely recommend this program to anyone who hopes to leave a lasting mark on our world’s future.

Summit STEM Fellowship has been such an amazing experience for me both in and in the months out of the program. Whilst in the program, I got to hear and ask about experiences from mentors and fellows from around the world and get their advice in the fireside chats, office hours, coffee chats, and so much more. From the mentors, I learned so much about STEM subjects, including aerospace engineering and how to conduct research, but I also got to hear about life skills that'll help in high school and beyond - I still track how I spend my time (based on one of the fireside chat deliverables) and it is huge in helping me not procrastinate and plan out my day. I also met fellows that were in the same club as me, had the same career goals, had already done research before, and so much more - and I was able to learn so much from them as well. Outside of the programming, I really appreciate the community and opportunities that the fellowship has given me in the months following it - it's so cool to look through the posts of the alumni community and be able to be inspired by and help with what they're doing, and get helpful resources and opportunities to support me as I navigate high school. All in all, SSF is such a wonderful opportunity to find a support network and learn more about high school, STEM, and life, and I'm so grateful I was able to be a part of it!

This fellowship has been an enlightening experience, composed of new friendships, guidance from mentors, and daily challenges. It encouraged me to believe in my ideas and explore new concepts. Every mentor introduced me to a different field of STEM and left me with valuable insight I can apply to my life. During this fellowship, we’re exposed to a range of opportunities available for high school students and taught never to limit ourselves. I was able to connect with fellows from around the world and learn about their passions and cultures. I am truly grateful for this opportunity that has broadened my perspective and brought me closer to my goals of becoming an aerospace engineer and astrophysicist. I part from this program with the knowledge of how to maximize my high school years, a notebook full of insights, and the courage to innovate and pursue my ideas in STEM!

The SSF program has helped me start my own passion project, learn valuable skills from experts in STEM, connect with students from around the world who also share my passion for STEM, and helped me to change my perspective on STEM subjects. Before joining this program, I didn’t really know which major I should follow, and how to get started on my university application. However, after 3 weeks of lectures with professionals and mentors all around the world, I’m finally able to visualize my career path and my future goals. Overall, this program was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

This fellowship was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It was truly transformative. I met many amazing people, some of whom I talk to regularly. I was taught far more than academic knowledge. I’ve learned so much from starting a podcast, nonprofits, time management to volunteering. All the mentors were amazing, especially Isabella, Anne, and Justine! They created an environment where everyone was committed to succeed. I gained both personal and professional growth skills. From fun Science Trivias to insightful Fireside Chats, there were so many opportunities to learn. I will use these skills throughout my life to turn my dreams into reality. I am so happy to be involved in a program like this and I can’t wait to get more involved. I would definitely recommend this fellowship to other students!

I’m not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that this fellowship changed my life. The program not only opened my eyes to all of the possibilities available to me, but it also introduced me to fellow high schoolers with common interests and mentors who taught me so many vital lessons over the course of the three weeks. The mentors’ diverse backgrounds and impressive successes made me, a student from a rural high school, truly feel like I could accomplish amazing things, too. After the first Fireside Chat, I remember saying to my mom, “I feel like I can do anything.” That was exactly how every step of this fellowship impacted me. After completing the program, I feel empowered, motivated, and determined to take the lessons I learned and use them to transform my future. I highly recommend this program for any student interested in broadening their STEM horizons.

The Summit STEM Fellowship has been one of the most impactful experiences of my high school journey. What stood out to me most was not only the incredible mentors we had the chance to learn from, but also the community of students from across the world who shared the same drive and curiosity for STEM. The mentors really brought into perspective that you don’t have to be a “perfect” candidate—you just have to be one who’s excited about your work. Genuine passion and effort are what truly matter, and that shift in mindset completely changed how I now think about applications, opportunities, and even the projects I take on.

Inspired by the stories and advice shared by the mentors, I even began developing two new initiatives aimed at creating impact in my community—projects I had long been passionate about but never had the clarity or confidence to start. The Fellowship not only encouraged me to take those first steps but also gave me the tools and perspective to pursue them meaningfully.

Throughout the Fellowship, I was also able to gain exposure to diverse fields in STEM and practical guidance on how to start exploring each one. Attending all of the events gave me insights into both the academic and real-world sides of STEM, and I left each session inspired to push myself further. Most importantly, I built connections with peers who share similar goals, and I know those relationships will continue to encourage me long after the program.

Looking back, I can confidently say this Fellowship was a transformative experience that has reshaped how I see my future. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to any student who is passionate about STEM and looking for a supportive environment to learn, grow, and bring their ideas to life.

The Summit STEM Fellowship has been transformative for me. I originally applied to the program, thinking it would only help me with college applications. I was shortsighted. The program went well above that. As I was struggling to find my future paths, the mentors and other fellows inspired me and boosted my confidence. Regardless of what I ultimately pursue, the skills and knowledge I gained from this unique experience will forever be unmatched and greatly valued. I now hold a broader view of STEM and have the desire to continue exploring various fields of STEM, all thanks to the program. The program truly ignited the fire inside me, and it was an honor to be part of a golden opportunity.
