I have been Duped

I purchased 2 tickets for the November 29, 2024, Trans-Siberian Orchestra show in Las Vegas. I purchased them online for the advertised price of $ 69.99 each. Several days later StubHub got involved to charged me $ 316.51 more than double of what I agreed to.
I contacted StubHub weeks before the event with my concerns they stated that I agreed to their extortion.
Contacted StubHub again and said I refuse to attend the event because of their obvious scam. There is currently a lawsuit by the Washington D.C. Attorney General over their Deceptive Pricing and Junk Fee Schemes. As a Senior in my 80's just wanted to take my great grandson to the Trans-Siberian Concert. If this has happened to you don't let StubHub wear you down. 2 $ 69.99 tickets turned into $ 316.51 false charges. More than DOUBLE, because they think, they can get away with Deceptive practices. I will go through all lengths to stop this deception.

Pure scam

Pure scam, don’t you ever buy from this website. I booked my F1 tickets 3 months earlier and was the first time I order through them. They insured me that I will receive my tickets day before the event and told me to book hotels and everything. And now a day before the event ,they send an email saying that will refund and sorry for the inconvenience. Made me pay thousands of dollars and not getting anything.
This company is thee worst .

I sold tickets for a game and provided…

I sold tickets for a game and provided the ticket on time. They cancelled the sale after the buyer used the ticket and applied a penalty on me although the buyer has no proof and i provided them with a proof of delivery. Costumer service doesn’t help at all and seems to support buyers scamming sellers and taking thier money.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good: My tickets for the Giants vs Panthers in Munich arrived on time in a pdf and were exactly the seats that I purchased. The price was reasonable and we had a great time. While I was concerned because my tickets did not arrive until two days prior to the game, I was able to reach the staff by phone. They were friendly and helpful. This gave me hope.

The Bad: When I first purchased the tickets, I received information from StubHub, but no confirmation of the actual tickets that I purchased from the seller or the venue. I called StubHub and found out that I purchased the tickets from "a separate company" called StubHub International. This was not clear to me when I purchased the tickets and misleading.

The Ugly: Having never dealt with StubHub International and not fully understanding how the system works (and I am not sure that I do now), it was extremely stressful waiting until two days prior to the event to actually receive the tickets. We trashed our plans to take the train to Munich and stay overnight in a hotel in favor of driving because we did not want to incur expenses that were unrecoverable if the tickets did not materialize. This stress was ugly.

Now, having dealt with StubHub International, I may actually trust the organization a bit more because everything worked out. Of course, StubHub International touts its Guarantee that it will refund your money or give you replacement tickets. As opposed to what? If I don't receive the tickets they keep my money? This is not a Guarantee, it is a business requirement.

Modern day scam artists, avoid at ALL COSTS. Not just rude and unhelpful but actively and intentionally sending confusing communication to reap the money from penalty fees and commissions.

Customer Support are on the ball

Update Oct 2024:
After leaving a review of an incident, StubHub's Customer Support proactively called me. They examined the background to the issue and were able to provide an immediate resolution over the phone.

I had previously given a lower rating, however their CS team were on the ball and have greatly improved my opinion of the company.

I would give them 0 if I could. Stub hubs customer service mistakes led to me loosing £280. I still haven’t got my money back. Do not use them there customer service is terrible and all they care about is keeping their money.

Crazy

Have purchased tickets for Manchester City vs Sparta Praha in October. Despite purchasing two sets of tickets, have not received order confirmations for either. Just charges to my credit card :(. Support has not supported, either.

Absolutely joke of a company

Absolutely joke of a company. Bought 2 tickets for Atletico Real for today, in August when tickets were 230 dollars per ticket. Said tickets were only going to be available on the day, today. At 11 am I called and they said the seller had until 3 pm local time to send, then around 2:50 I called again and they said couldn’t contact the seller and would give me a link for alternative options or a refund. The same tickets in the same section are now over a thousand dollars, they said could only reimburse me for the 200 I originally paid, and would make no efforts towards getting me new tickets today. I also had 2 more tickets lined up for other football matches this week, and they said I would have to wait until the deadline on each game day before I could get a refund. Essentially, all the tickets I bought here mean nothing and they could care less about your money. Btw the lady on call also hung up on me as soon as I asked for any refunds for the increase in ticket prices :). Hopefully no one uses this dog company in the future, save yourself some money and time

Fake tickets, but Stubhub eventually refunded

Bought tickets on their website, which turned out to be fraudulent and I was turned away at the gate. Decision which cost me thousands considering the travel involved. Whilst initially being difficult to deal with, I have updated my review as they eventually refunded me, and I give credit for that.

Best experience

Recently purchased tickets for Coldplay Vienna show. I was so scared to buy tickets from stubhub after reading the negative reviews but everything went well. I placed the order 4 days before the event date. Got my tickets the next day itself. Completely satisfied with the purchase.

Sellers, beware—this platform unfairly withhold your funds!

Be cautious when using StubHub, especially for high-value transactions. Unfortunately, I have to highlight my deeply frustrating experience with StubHub and to caution others considering this platform to sell tickets.

I sold a ticket for the Adele concert in Munich on August 24th through StubHub International. Since I was on holiday and unable to attend, I listed my tickes for sale and fulfilled all my obligations as a seller. Despite the successful sale, I encountered the following serious issues:

- Unjustified charges: I was inexplicably charged twice for this transaction. The additional charge, allegedly for replacement costs, is entirely unwarranted, as I had only one ad listed, which was sold and delivered without issue.

- Withholding funds: StubHub has paid out only 50% of the funds owed to me, withholding the remaining 50%.

- Complete lack of communication: I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues, first contacting StubHub on August 25th and following up on August 30th. Despite these repeated efforts, I have not received any acknowledgment or response. Their customer service has been non-existent, making it nearly impossible to resolve this matter.

UPDATE:
I was recently contacted by Luz, who handled my issue with a high level of professionalism. I appreciate the time she took to reach out, listen to my concerns, and work towards a solution that made me feel both seen and heard.

While I’m grateful with the resolution and the additional payment to offset the fines, I still find it strange and somewhat concerning how the system allowed the double listings to occur in the first place. That said, Luz’s great service has restored some of my trust in Stubhub.

GUARANTEE DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. STUBHUB IE IS NOT THE SAME AS STUBHUB IN THE US AND CANADA AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED. StubHub International denied my request for a refund of my €1000 + purchase after the seller did not fulfill the order. I did not get to attend the event. Numerous contacts to Customer Service by email went unanswered. Now I am escalating this to the legal team. DO NOT TRUST STUBHUB IE!

Update 2024.09.03 - Stubhub IE’s customer support escalations team reached out and ultimately revolved this issue. Luz was kind and offered great service. I still would not buy from Stubhub IE moving forward, but I am grateful for their response to this review and prompt action.

Travis Scott tickets

Bought two travis scott tickets, they never came and i’ve emailed multiple times and tried calling but no answer and have not received a refund!!!! Horrible customer service wouldn’t recommend using this website.

Update: Issue was resolved within a week of writing the review and a refund has been processed for the tickets. Shame that it took writing a negative review in order to be taken seriously and answered however happy I’m getting my money back. Only giving 3 stars due to this. Hopefully StubHub improves the quality of their customer service for future buyers experiencing the same issue.

Great

I had ordered tickets for the Eras tour in Warsaw a week before the concert, I was afraid of having been scammed but I received the tickets two days after having bought them. On the day of the concert, when the tickets were scanned, the staff checked our IDs and told us that it was not the same name on the ticket so we had to go to a clearing point to change the names on the tickets. It was not free but it only cost around €12 per ticket, which is correct. So we were able to attend the concert and had a lot of fun!

Intentionally Withholding Sales Money

I sold tickets on June 20th.
The event occurred on July 14th.
The Buyer had no issues with the tickets.

6 days later Stubhub attempted to make payment to my paypal.
Stubhub responded and told me the payment failed. I checked with Paypal and they had no record of any attempt to make payment.

I changed my payment details on July 21st at the advice of the telephone agent. I removed the paypal payout option and updated with a new payout option - direct bank transfer. I was told it could take 5 - 8 business days for Stubhub to attempt to make payment again.

10 days went by and nothing was sent. I contacted stubhub several times thereafter and my case was "escalated" several times during this time. I should be patient and wait.

On Thursday August 1st I got a case number, which was meaningless, nothing but a distraction.

I contacted stubhub several times after August 1st via online chat, twitter DM and telephone. They continually told me to wait and claimed errors with my payment method, despite every other company I transact with having no issues with my details.

After a telephone call on Saturday 10th of August.I readded my paypal as a payout option, as several agents told me there was an error processing my payout and another payout option would help.

I spoke to a supervisor on Sunday 11th of August he said 3 - 4 days to get payment.

I contacted Stubhub on Wednesday the 14th and Thursday the 15th of August. I was told by the telephone agents that it would take another 13 calender days because I updated my payout option. I never made it a default option, I simply added back at the advice of the agents, so I have two payout options.

I rang back the following day and pursued the issue once again. I was told by a different supervisor that the previous supervisor just sent a general email to the payments department. This new supervisor would send a personal email to the department and I would hear back within 48hrs. I havent heard back. They never followed up.

So 2 months after I sold the tickets, 1 month after the event has taken place I still don't have my sale money.

You cannot contact the payment department, they are based in Ireland and only the stubhub customer service team can contact them via email. They refuse to give you any contact information for them. So you're just left waiting, going round in circles with stubhub customer reps.

They intentionally withhold money from sales, they make interest on the money. Miserable experience, I have no idea when I will get my money back, they claim I'm guaranteed to be paid as a seller, what in 2050? Horrible company, do not use, do not buy or sell.

UPDATE 30/08- Da, as we previously informed you, unfortunately, we have not located your purchase in our system and therefore we tried in several ways to request contact information from you to be able to check your case, but this information did not reach us. With that in mind, we understand that you made the purchase from another company than ours.

As officially stated on our page, in 2021 the StubHub business went through a transition and the StubHub’s North America and international businesses got separated and two distinct platforms were created for our users.
This means that if you bought or sold your tickets through www.stubhub.com and/or www.stubhub.ca we can't access to any information regarding your order nor support you as the transaction was made with a different company. We can only access information about purchases made through StubHub International.
Please if you have questions or require support relating to your orders and listings, contact their Customer Service in the US, or refer to their Help Center. Thanks."
