I haven't made a claim yet but their quotation system was very straight forward and the quote I got shown on Compare the Market is the quote I was offer at point of payment.

Excellent company
This is by far the best Pet insurance company we have dealt with. Lost my beloved Westie of 15 years last week and canceling the policy/direct debit etc was done quickly and efficiently. Our dog was on the Librella injection for Arthritis for 3 years and the claims each month were completed promptly with no problems whatsoever and the money was in our account within 10 days. Highly recommend this insurance company.

Made everything easy when our dog was taken ill. They handled his passing with empathy, sent a letter of condolence and communicated with the vet quickly to get everything sorted.

Avoid insuring your pets with Spot on
Avoid insuring your pets with Spot on, on 2 separate occasions of my pet having procedures done at the vet’s costing near on £2000 they refused to pay out, I contended the decision but they stood firm and refused to pay me out.
Sending emails with paragraphs only a vet will understand, they just fobbed me off.
I have cancelled the policy and will find cover elsewhere.
Do not take the risk they are the worst insurance company I have ever used.

We’d like to clarify that a lump could be treated as pre-existing where it was present, diagnosed, or showed signs or symptoms before the policy start date, or within the waiting period.
This isn’t unique to Spot On but standard across the pet insurance industry. When assessing a claim, our team reviews the full clinical history and dates provided by you and your vet to understand when symptoms first appeared.
We do have an appeals process in place, and our claims team will be happy to talk you through your settlement email and explain how the decision was reached, please email us at claims@spotonpetinsurance.co.uk.

What an apt name. Spot On have been just that. Claim dealt with quickly and efficiently. Follow up queries answered instantly. Claims process very simple. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Your better putting your money away for your pet they don’t like to pay out and when they do half the claim is cut away through excess and take away medication is not included unless you pay for this extra also they said they pay £1000 for death of you pet this is also not true

Our products were designed to give customers a more bespoke and flexible policy, tailored to their pet’s individual needs, and is clearly outlined in the quote journey and policy documents. Also, you are able to upgrade and downgrade at any point during the year, and not only at renewal like most other providers.
The Death of Pet benefit is intended to provide a payment based on the purchase price of your pet, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy. Euthanasia is covered as standard under the vet treatment section of your policy.
