I will keep writing this stay well away from a compulsive lying so called company who takes your money then has no dealings with you, don’t be fooled by the good reviews these are fake fake fake stay well away and I’m sure they have set another company up too, no contact blocks you never replies complete utter fraud

This company is pure Rouge Traders content, I did write a very lengthy review but Trustpilot deemed it too long to publish so I will try and be brief, it pretty much echo's all the other bad reviews so at least they are consistent in their poor behaviour, I wouldn't take much notice of the good reviews most are paid for or made up by themselves.

I'm sure they very good at being a timber supplier however don't be mislead in to thinking they know anything about building a decent garden building. My initial contact was great, Simon is very good at his sales pitch and getting a deposit off you promising you everything you could want from buying a decent garden building. Then it all stops, no replies to questions, no response to details of where i wanted windows/doors etc, no plans received that were promised. Just completely ignored and when I did finally get hold of someone in the office who apparently is the product specialist it was just promise after promise to call back and excuse after excuse, I think she went to the same school of bull that Simon did.
So eventually they turn up a week late with the ground screw base that firstly they tried putting in the wrong part of the garden with the excuse that he thought it looked better there, secondly it was the wrong size and finally they didn't have the proper equipment to install the ground screws! Ground to hard apparently, weird that as I have since managed to dig 24 3ft x 1ft holes with a spade. Anyway they talked me into having a post and cement base instead which I agreed to on the basis it was done properly. Well what they installed wouldn't have held the building for 5 days let alone the 50 year guarantee they offered. By this point I was well aware they wasn't going to give my deposit back so I agreed to buy the building off them to install myself and do my own base with a agreement from Simon by email that should anything be damaged or missing it would be replaced.

Cladding was damaged, glue was missing for the rubber roof, the marine ply that was spec'd for the floor was just normal ply so therefore useless and overall workmanship was shocking. That's ok
I thought I have an agreement with them, well guess what, more being ignored, blocked on facebook and when the so called product specialist finally picked the phone up she refused to talk about it and just says wait for the email. When the email turns up they basically refuse to be liable for anything completely ignoring the agreement we had and refuse to respond to further emails.

To add to the issues they have also made the building to high so it won't comply with planning laws, this is despite me making it clear many times to Simon that the overall height is not to exceed 2.5m, again this is something a reputable company would know and adhere to regardless of the customer hammering it home. You can probably guess what their response was......yep total ignorance.

Now there is so much detail missing here but it has to be kept short and quite frankly I have wasted enough time over these cowboys, I was going to take them to court but the stress and financial loss this company has already caused to my self and my family I just want to forget the whole experience and let karma take care of these idiots.

Issue with door, not secured enough.. contacted company no response. So warranty is probably not gonna happen. Stay clear

Paid some £12,000 for two garden rooms. We had to wait a little longer than planned but were assured all was well. We finally got delivery. One building went up although now we are seeing signs it was not installed properly (panel around the roof not enough fixtures and the door was not hung properly). The second building is still not installed and just sitting there since March 2025!!! They said the base was not flat. We rectified this at a cost of £800. Now reading other feedback, seems like this may be a standard line to not install the building. Now we are left we a useless building, which is now holding up other things because we cant put in the building what we wanted! Tried to contact them. SIMON just gives you a load of waffle saying they are due to come today (10 July) to install but no return of any calls/emails/whatsapps. I have now taken a day off unpaid. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It should not be trading!!!

The building itself is 'OK' quality. The installation was rushed. There is a gap at the rear that i can put my hand through (this is for ventilation apparently). It was installed on a slab not straight with the edge so looks terrible. The door is sticking, The door handle stiff to open, the composite strips on the front and side are bowed (probably because only fixed with 2 x nails).
But the worst problem with this company is the communication. It's dreadfull. I have been asking for a receipt for 5 weeks now. Given up on any warranty paperwork. I hate giving bad reveiws and i really wanted another building to match this one but it's just such hard work dealing with them

Now they don’t want me to communicate via WhatsApp and send an email. When all communication was on WhatsApp.

They also said they will knock 5k off if I paid the deposit in cash.

Despite that, we are still prepared to find a way forward — whether that’s completing the build under agreed terms or reaching a reasonable conclusion that works for both parties. But to do that, we need to get everything in writing so it can be handled clearly, professionally, and without miscommunication.

We want to do the right thing, but this needs to be done properly.

Terrible! Do not use!
After a delay with delivery the installers finally turned up. They said the base wasn’t level enough (however our builder said it was fine) we sorted out what they said was the problem the same day. They promised to return to install- never came back. Emails, phone calls, what’s app ignored. Blocked on social media. Left with a flat pack garden room taking up the garden. I will be reporting to trading standard. Please do not use this company!

SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS

i had a garden building installed by them in december, its now june and still not had my issues sorted, i have been blocked from messenger and there facebook, they are happy to take your money but not to resolve issues that arise after

Simon and his team were professional, displayed pride in their work and worked really hard to deliver, what is a beautiful office space. All that have viewed it, have commented on how lovely it looks. It has certainly added to our living space and at the end of the day, value to our property. Thrilled to bits...thank you to all the lads !

Review based entirely on my own experience with Spikeows. I was fully aware after ordering that other people have had issues and they aren't getting anywhere with Spikeows but I decided to proceed with our order after conversations and re-assurances from Simon about the install teams and workload.

Ordered a 20ft x 9ft composite build on the 4th March and paid the deposit with PayPal, I had spoken to Simon on the phone earlier that day and we were provisionally booked for an install on the 31st March.

After paying the deposit I had confirmation it was received but then it went pretty quiet after that, communication is a massive problem (hence the 4 stars and not 5). Did end up speaking to Simon about 4 or 5 times in total though, twice of those times on a video call when I had a tour of Spikeows and also for when we had some last minute changes to our base (I had it extended by 1.5ft).

I made multiple changes to the build as I started to visualise the interior in my head which I communicated to Spikeows, moving the window and doors twice and also added an extra foot so finally ended up with a 20ft x 10ft composite build instead of a 20ft x 9ft.

As I suspected would happen the install on the 31st March was delayed, Simon did give a few days notice as I'd booked the day off work for it and gave me a new install date of the 8th April straight away. I had a call on the 7th April from Simon as they were about to start my build that morning and wanted to make sure it was exactly as I'd requested, delivery and install was also put back a day to the 9th April at this point.

On the morning of the 8th April I received a message from Nova advising delivery and install was put back to the 10th April and their fitters would be with me between 7am and 8am. Just after 8am (I'm impatient) on the 10th I sent a WhatsApp message as no-one had arrived, I received a message straight back with a picture showing the fitters were about 30 mins away.

Carl and Rich arrived around 8:30am, I showed them the base and left them to it for most of the day. I asked a few questions towards the end of the build and was shown how to adjust the doors if they ever stick and was given some advice on possibly adding guttering to the rear and recommendations on insulation, boarding and electrics. Also showed me some pictures of previous builds they'd done. I got the impression these were Spikeows best installers as I'd seen them on some promo videos on Facebook over the last few months. They eventually left just after 4pm and didn't have a break all the time they were there. It was a red hot day as well and the sun hits exactly where they were working.

Had some heavy rain recently and no issues at all, dry as a bone inside. Insulated it myself this weekend using 50mm PIR insulation board, next step is electrics fix 1 and then I'll board it out and get the floor down. If I did it again I'd definitely consider paying the fitters to do it and pay the extra money!!

Shocking aftersales experience! I had a summer house built and installed by this company, initially was very happy. They custom built exactly what we wanted and Simon was very helpful but the problems come after they leave and you have paid. We had some problems with the UPVC doors and asked if someone could adjust the doors as they weren't closing properly. My calls were ignored, e-mails ignored and WhatsApp messages ignored. Such a shame as I have plenty of friends wanting these type of structures built but unfortunately wouldn't recommend due to poor aftercare, no one deserves to be ignored when you have spent thousands of £'s. Guarantee isn't worth the paper printed on.

I had a summerhouse and the workmanship was poor to say the least, items missing, items damaged poorly built, hardly responded once paid with false promises and says they will rectify and nothing, even told them to send what required and nothing, promised a fitter would be there on the Tuesday which i took day off for and didnt turn up, got message saying Thursday and low and behold nothing stay well away, all the contact in the world till you pay then nothing, logging with trading standards and fraud / scam with bank

Placed an order for a building early February. A deposit was paid and sales experience was smooth.
Delivery and installation scheduled 13th of march. It wasn't delivered and I had to chase them to find out that it would be "postponed". Weeks of messages, phonecalls and email and no resolution. Got through to them at last 3 weeks after my supposed fit date and was told they can't do it so had to refund my deposit. 6 weeks of waiting to now find another reputable firm who can complete my order. I'm just glad I got my money back

Very quick to take your money then lots of promises to deliver several times but never turned up.
Stopped answering messages and had to claim my money back.

Be careful using this company, had a log cabin installed by spikeows and on initial enquiry Simon was all over us and very keen to get us nailed down with a date and a deposit paid. We was assured that we would be updated all the way to install, however that wasn't the case. In fact we had to chase spikeows for answers to some questions we had, and didn't get any answers until the evening before the day of install. Suprised the lads turned up with it to be honest. The lads did work hard and installed quickly, and we thought we was happy with the build. Problems started a week later when we wanted some insulation work and electrics installed. We had to cancel the guys we wanted doing the internal stuff due to the framework wet in places and not drying out, plus also started noticing alot of the framework splitting and not just small splits either. Tried contacting spikeows on many occasions and just kept getting ignored. We have sent pictures of various issues with this build and plenty of details. Only when we called out spikeows on a Facebook post we got a response (8 weeks after install) the response is just comical and not really helpful at all and is just frustrating the process. They don't even have a complaints procedure on their website but Simon has recently suggested they have one. Still yet to recieve a copy of that after requesting one along with an email they claim to have sent weeks ago. It's all just lies. as soon as they have your money they don't care. I was even pestered for final payment while the guys were still working. Conversation about that and me wanting to wait until they finished left a very awkward feeling with us as Simon was also not happy about us paying with a credit card (despite paying the deposit with a credit card).
Worst purchase experience ever and now taking further action to get resolved. They talk the talk, but sadly don't care about issues when it all goes wrong. A number of people are not happy I've heard and are having the same issues. I have noticed various fake reviews from fake profiles on their Facebook page, after calling them out today (22/3/25) they have been since deleted, I have been blocked and there is no link anymore to view reviews. Says it all really. Avoid these and go to a reputable company.

This business will definitely con you out of your hard earned money!!! PLEASE SATAY WELL CLEAR!!! if you do decide to use them PLEASE pay using a credit card so that you have got some protection, they will ask you not to just like they did me and I was stupid enough to pay by bacs. I’m now out of pocket by thousands of pounds!!!

Im generally happy with the purchase, but there are a couple of things that have prevented me from leaving 5 stars.
The guys completing the work (Luke & Rich) had it tough in the morning with the rain but didn't slow down (but I noticed before they left one side of the roof had daylight showing through (between roof & wall), they put an extra piece of wood in and said that will fix it.
A couple of days later I could still say the daylight, and upon further inspection I noticed that the whole of the side panel moved if I lent on it as it hadn't been fixed to the roof like the other side.
I sent a message to Simon, in hope of speaking to him and asking the best way to fix but even though he read the message, he never replied.
I fixed it, so it is secure and believe all will be ok - I haven't had any water coming through as yet so im happy with the build and it looks great.

but it does make me doubt their word of the warranties shown on their website if there ever was a problem - but hopefully it wont get to that.

from about 2pm on the day of install, I received calls & messages from Simon to make the outstanding payment even though the build wasn't finished.

I waited until the lads had finished and I had checked it (after they patched up) but was told they wouldn't be leaving until payment was made - I was hoping to wait a day or 2 so I could check it in more detail.

Apart from this I Am happy with the quality of the cabin.

Terrible after sales service,
After multiple false promises from two representatives of the company and having paid in full my building is still not finished and I find my self in the position of having to spend more money to buy materials to finish it myself,
My advice is if you do decide to go with this company and they don’t finish to an exceptable standard certainly don’t pay the outstanding amount as they’ll not fulfill there obligations.

Quality product made to our own specifications. Richard & Luke (fitters) epitomise professionalism and are a credit to Spikeows as is Simon in the office. Now to make full use of our summerhouse/garage thanks gents 🙂

Spikeows is really top notch service provider. Also their work quality is wonderful. I am always recommend them!
