I've worked for Spencer Clarke Group for a while now and it has been a great experience so far. My recruitment consultant, Taylor Kirkman has been incredibly supportive and proactive throughout my time with them. Communication has always been clear and consistent, and Taylor always made sure I felt valued and well-informed. I would definitely recommend working with Spencer Clarke Group , especially if you're looking for an agency that cares about your career progression.

It's been an absolute pleasure and privilege to have worked with the Spencer and Clarke Group. The support and encouragement I had from each of the team members, was very professional and considerate at the same time. I can't thank everyone enough. If it wasn't for them putting faith in my abilities, I wouldn't have had my dream job today.

100% recommended to anyone who looking for a job. You might be only a temp but you will gain so much experience. Taya and paul have made sure I got work. They are so understanding and easy to talk. Never onces had a problem with them and when I needed time off out of the blue they have been so understanding not judging me.

I have had an absolute amazing experience working with Spencer Clarke Group. They have given me so mnay opportunities and with the opportunities I was given I was able to land a permanant position in a school I was a supply teacher at. I honestly cannot praise Jolie Moon enough. She has gone above and beyond to make sure the schools I am going to are matched to my standards and my requirements. She would also always check up on me to see how I am doing during my time at certain schools. This meant absolutely everything to me. I would recommend Spencer Clarke Group to every aspiring teacher and teaching assistant out there, because this is truly the best agency you could work for.

Awful Agency. A lady named Denni-Marie Basset dealt with me. First during the recruitment process she basically pushed for me to borrow funds to get a new DBS… I kept telling her I couldn’t afford it at the time as I had just moved to Lancashire and wasn’t working yet… She didn’t care, kept repeating the same thing… via text & then since I joined (4 months ago might I add) she’s only managed to get me 2 cover roles for about 3-4 hours each. I don’t understand agencies that haven’t got their current workers any work but keep registering new people, I’ve got 10+ years working as a TA/SEN TA so I know it’s not my experience. Will make a complaint about Denni Marie but thought I’d leave an honest review of what this agency can be like. I haven’t seen any positive reviews about the consultant I mentioned above so it’s very telling… should’ve read the reviews first! I’ve joined another Agency now for September and they’ve already got me a role!

Update after the patronising response just to clarify; I had a dbs in date but it had my maiden name on it. This was not accepted despite me giving proof. I asked Denni Marie, if I could use that until I worked enough to afford a new one with my marital name. She said no. Denni’s manager Jamie is now trying to pressure me to send a complaint just because I mentioned I was going to. I will do it in my own time but will go to Jamie’s manager as the persistence is not needed. Again, it wasn’t just £16 it was £65 for the dbs + £16 for it to go on the update service

I obviously know you need a DBS to work with children, the person who responded to my review clearly didn’t read it. I said Denni basically pushed me to borrow funds for a new dbs. This is the agency though, they’re more worried about responding than understanding. On Trustpilot it also mentions that they use an unsupported review method where they ask people to give them 5* reviews 😂

Don’t trust a company that ONLY has positive reviews… it’s fake. Check out the google reviews for Spencer Clarke Group, they’re less biased and you’ll see reviews similar to mine.

I’d like to add, I’ve been with many agencies in my 10+ years working and this is BY FAR the worst. They don’t know what they’re doing, well, Denni doesn’t anyway.

Had a great experience with Spencer Clarke group, they are fast to to get you working and every member of staff I I have spoken to have been so welcoming and kind on phone calls,emails etc. I don’t feel afraid to reach out if I need them. Kaitlan and Emma are the most people I stay in touch with they are always available if I need anything or have any problems would highly recommend. Lovely company

Jimmy in the Lancashire based office is always helpful and thorough with answers to my questions.

It was important to me that I found the right agency, especially as it was my first time joining one.
I had spoken to quite a few others however, Spencer Clarke Group felt like the best fit for me.
Even from first contact, Jimmy was quick to respond which is highly appreciated as a busy mum of two trying to progress my career around small children.
I was asked questions relating to possible scenarios and safeguarding opportunities which, for me, solidified that I had picked the right agency as it gave me a sense that they are putting the interests of the children first.

In addition, Jimmy has kept me up to date with possible opportunities for career progression and courses that may be of interest.
Chloe from compliance also made the experience feel effortless and was very attentive toward my (many) emails and questions.

Having never been registered with an agency before, I was unsure what to expect and I must say that the whole process has been an extremely positive experience.
