Do not sign up for their online class!!
I would strongly caution anyone considering the online Danish classes here.
The loop system makes very little sense. I was placed in Class 5–6 despite knowing absolutely zero Danish. When I raised this, the response was essentially “you’ll eventually catch up.” That makes it pretty clear the system isn’t designed around whether students can actually learn effectively.
The online platform is also very poor. It’s extremely difficult to navigate, and every week I struggle to understand what the homework actually is, what’s mandatory and what’s optional. The system feels outdated and unnecessarily complicated.
The teacher is nice, but the classes themselves are not very effective. There is a huge amount of material rushed through each week and the class size is so large that there is almost no opportunity to practice speaking. Most of the session is just the teacher talking and moving through slides.
Support is also very limited. Consultants are available only twice per week during very random and short time slots, and when you do reach them they are not particularly helpful.
The most frustrating part is the exam requirement. I was informed that the exam is designed for students who have completed 12 classes, but I am required to take it after only 9 classes. There is no flexibility, which creates unnecessary stress.
Overall, the experience has been very disappointing. If it weren’t for the deposit I had already paid, I would have dropped out.
