Spartan have been fantastic, from start to finish, we’ve got our very first custom built camper and we LOVE it! It’s more than we ever thought we could afford, highly recommend!

We went to look for campervans about 8 weeks ago and we decided to stay local in Coventry if we could and help our local businesses.

We saw our van when it wasn't completed and it wasn't the original one we wanted but we went back and saw the finished van and we decided that was the van that fitted the spec we wanted.

The spec on the conversions are absolutely 1st class. You couldn't ask for more, although Spartan kindly threw in our solar panel and Reimo rail too. All vans are absolutely top notch and the conversion includes a microwave too 👍

As for customer service, we couldn't ask for more from the minute we first visited to picking up our van yesterday.

Joe took the time to go through everything for our handover and if we had any questions then he was at hand to ask and responded quickly.

10/10 to Spartan Campers. If you're looking to buy a converted van or have one converted, then we can't recommend them enough.

What can I say about Joe and the team, other than top quality workmanship and excellent service. Just picked up my newly converted van today and it has exceeded my expectations. We ordered from Spartan and they sourced the van for us. We then chose the interior and all the extras (water tank and solar etc). The van is awesome and stunningly beautiful. Would definitely recommend Spartan to build and convert a van, the communication wasn’t as proactive as we hoped. Any new build niggles have been resolved quickly, efficiently and pragmatically. Their build design is the best we have seen in all our market research. Thank you Spartan.

Thought I’d left a review when we bought our van, but can’t see it. We’ve had our van now for a year, sourced by Joe and custom built. Joe was the only one who actually listened to what we wanted and was able to make a slight tweak to the basic design that’s given us exactly what we wanted. Really good quality and very usable cupboard space. We’ve now had 10 weeks of holidays over the year and been really pleased. The solar panel failed when we were in Germany and Gabriel managed to get it swapped over without any quibble so we could take the grandchildren away and have a fridge for the week! They’ve grown considerably over the year and now have a big stock of vans on site. Thanks again JoeGabriel and the team.

So pleased with the amazing service we have received from Spartan Campers. We are first time campers and had no idea what we were doing and Joe and the team were so knowledgeable and have helped us to design the camper van of our dreams- it’s absolutely gorgeous. On collection, we were kindly greeted at the train station by Fraser who then drove us to their showroom and showed us how everything worked- he was really patient and and answered all of our questions and provided a great demonstration. We are thrilled with both the service and the camper van and would highly recommend.

Just picked up our new conversion at spartan and are over the moon with it! Excellent journey throughout the built! Would highly recommend!

Such an incredible experience from start to finish. Firstly great help over the phone and then in person with an incredible positive team. They were in touch throughout the whole building process. Mark, Joe and Fraser at the presentation stage were absolutely amazing and very helpful in explaining everything in every detail. We are planning to be back for our second van soon

Stumbled across Spartan campers after a lengthy search. Top quality conversion compared to some of the others we’ve viewed.

Hand over was seamless, few minor points which were rectified before we drove off.

Look forward to getting away in it now.

Not sure where to start other than top outfit. Spartan were the first we came across online after hours and hours of browsing that both of us felt 'this is the one', the level of customisation and visual quality with it felt unrivalled. When we travelled up to meet the team at Spartan, see the setup and the quality of the vans this was affirmed that the quality of the conversions are indeed second to none.

We initially in our minds had chosen a van from the images on the website, but ended up choosing a different one when we saw the vans in the flesh and talking to Joe and Mark and we are not disappointed. The service before and during the sale was fantastic and the after sale service is absolutely no different. Many questions and answered swiftly and professionally, and they are what they say they are - helpful. They were happy to fit a solar panel extra in the few days ahead of collection and on the day of collection picked up a minor defect without qualm.

We've had one trip away in the van so far and whilst we're still learning with what works for us, how we make the most of the storage etc, the functional quality of everything is exceptional.

We came across these guys whilst searching for a bespoke campervan conversion service. Joe and Mark were extremely friendly and helpful in finding us our base vehicle. Afterwards, our visit to their workshops was useful, informative, and confidence building. We were able to decide on the interior colour design and took ownership of our campervan within the month.
We are very happy with the final product and are excited to get travelling.
We have a couple of snagging issues which Joe is keen to resolve but overall the service and care has been outstanding.
Spartan Campers is highly recommended.

We initially saw Spartan Campers on social media and on closer inspection we decided to visit them. We did not have an appointment but was greeted by Joe and Mark and was put at ease very quickly. They listened to us and asked what we wanted and we discussed our budget. We were wowed by the campers in the showroom and although some were more expensive than our budget we were reassured by Joe that he could find us a van. By coincidence there was a van waiting to go out to other customers and the colour of the van both inside and out was just what we wanted. We discussed how this could be achieved within our budget. We are delighted to now be the proud owners of a shiny new Spartan Campervan . The conversion was completed ahead of schedule and we were given detailed instructions by Joe how to operate the Van and how to look after it on handover. We have already driven out on a couple of trips and it drives beautifully . The interior is first rate and we are excited to get many years of use out of it. We recommend Spartan Campers if you are looking for something special.

We have just picked up our dream camper van from Spartan, and they have been just wonderful from start to finish. We initially came to view a different camper, but after a look around their showroom we fell in love with another! All of their vans are created with care, attention and passion - and this shines through in how the staff speak about their vans and interact with their customers. Would thoroughly recommend. We can't wait for many years of adventures.

From the first chat with Joe I knew we were onto a winner!! He is professional, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and cares.....He made the whole process from beginning to end so easy for us!
With his guidance we designed the Campervan of our dreams. His team around him care and have done a brilliant job. I cannot recommend Spartan enough.

Just got our fabulous VW campervan from Spartan Campers. We strongly recommend the Company. Joe, Neil and Mark were extremely helpful and informative. The Van conversion is excellent and we can't wait to get out and about. Nothing was too much trouble, even from us needing a lift from the railway station and us endlessly asking too many questions, any emails we sent were replied to promptly. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

From the minute we contacted Joe, our experience with Spartan Campers has been amazing. Joe kept in regular contact with us since reserving our van, giving us updates and sending lots of pics!
Our dream has now become a reality and we’re picking our camper up on Wednesday. We are in love with everything, from the two tone colour to the perfect conversion inside. We can’t thank you guys enough, would 10/10 recommend Spartan 😊

We bought our camper back in September (2022) & after much searching for a VW Van & talking/viewing to many other companies in the VW conversion industry ( you know the ones) we knew Spartan were the ones to go with.. We even paid a deposit over the phone without even viewing the van which at the time in production as we were that confident after talking to Joe.
Joe & Gab were excellent throughout the whole process of purchasing the campervan. Joe was excellent in keeping us totally up to date with progression even sending us pictures as the van progressed, which filled the wife full of excitement & confidence. Then once the van was ready for collection the Spartan Team could not have made the fun of picking the van up more easy, showing us how everything worked down to every minor detail.
The van conversion quality itself is excellent, modern, smart & produced at high quality.
I have to also mention the after sales, Spartan have always been excellent in communication when calling or messaging for assistance.
As mentioned we bought the van late Sept 2022 with the plan for many trips in 2023. However we could not wait to start going away and have not stop since picking the van up from Spartan, enjoying many trips throughout the whole of winter, this due to the comfort & warmth of the van, The diesel heater fitted is great & would recommend to anyone & makes good for keeping warm on the colder nights & cold mornings. Sitting with a coffee in the morning, heater on, admiring views, Priceless!!
We have many more trips boked for the year & hope to enjoy many years to come in our van. My dream is to buy a brand new VW Van one day & get the Spartan team to convert, but if not & if when we do look to upgrade/replace the van we will be heading straight back to Spartan!!!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Joe and the team have done an excellent job in building my beautiful VW Swamper van. I have hired vans in the past from companies, but I can assure you, nothing has come up to the standard of build quality carried out by Spartan. The attention to detail is second to none. There is a personal feel about the business. Nothing is too difficult. Being in Devon, it's a 6hr round trip to Coventry and worth every minute. No pressure sales either, but they don't need to as the quality of the vans sell themselves. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning every time I look at my van. The after sales service is also brilliant. There is not a single bad word I can attribute to Joe and his team. Well done all. About time you opened a site in Exeter Joe!

I got my camper about 3 weeks ago now but thought I would wait until we have been away in it before writing a review. The wife, kids and I are absolutely thrilled with it already having 2 great weekends away! The build and design of the conversion is great, very modern, well built and giving so much room and storage capability. I had a budget to stick too and Joe sourced the van for me. I was worried putting all my trust in a stranger and buying a camper I had never even test drove but the faith in Joe paid off!! He promised he wouldnt put his conversion in a van he wouldnt have himself and it is true. The van drives lovely. There was a slight issue with a diesel heater line which was fixed within 10 minutes by the team without feeling I was an inconvenience to them in the slightest. I also added the awning rail late which they fitted quickly with no bother. Joe was very reassuring, laid back and amazingly helpful throughout the process and just a genuine person. The van was sourced and complete within about 6 to 8 weeks. Everyone I have met since loves it and agrees it is genuinely one of the best camper conversions we have seen. Thank You Team Spartan I will for sure recommend you to anyone I speak with!
