Good to go spar alford surprise grocery bag today traveled 7 miles there 7 miles back no bag went in to the shop bang on 5pm no one else in guy says don't scan it off you will not be charged lies it's gone from my bank trading standards will be contacted over this as its fraud no
items were in the shop to make up the
bag the guy said so why put it out in the afternoon to click on just to mess me around 72 disabled I can do with out this for 14 Miles of petrol could go to Tesco and buy what should have been ready

Avoid this scam its just messing people about avoid like the plague and it takes up to 14 days to put the money taken in seconds to be put back in my bank they say avoid ...and now at 19.43 spar alford have one go bag for tomorrow I would how come..?I will leave it up to every one to figure it out account with them deleted never again

The SPAR in Linlithgow has THE WORST Customer Service I have ever experienced, if you ever want to walk into a room and be the most hated person in there, go to the SPAR linlithgow

Could I tell how I was thrown out of the store Upper Bucklebury Spar today (08.05.2025), because I did not have cash, and at least 3 pounds on the card, he just shouted and threw me out, 😭
I got a lot of stress!!!
A week ago, my daughter came in tears, that a rude seller answered her rudely and threw sweets at her. She thought that she was bad! I spoke with other people, all the same.
Please West Berkshire Council, Spar Managers, help us avoid this people 🙏

Spar Spean Bridge , young staff who NEVER say please or thank you, throw your stuff down as its scanned , then its 12 pound fifty. Clearly zero training given, worst shop ive ever come across. Both young boys in there are in need of serious manners training and customer service. Not sure whos worse the staff or the person in charge allowing this

For the second and last time I have been double charged for an item in Spar, Thornliebank.
You need to be really careful and double check your purchases.

The soleiro ice creams were sticky and oily. It tasted like someone defrosted it and then froze it again. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.They made me ill.Address this problem IMMEDIATELY. Not to mention, fire alarm went off and no one did ANYTHING about it. Very disappointed.1 star for sure.

Firstly I have to say I don’t know how this store remains open, they have a poor inconsistent range, essential items are often out of stock and the prices are too high. Then there’s the Post Office, even when you take ID required by Royal Mail they won’t release your item. Very poor Spar. This shop could be so much better. We will be shopping elsewhere.

You sell 500ml 6pack Silverbrook Falls natural mineral water in your stores and it is impossible to take lids off.

Horrible customer service from the ''Quality supervisor & manager''. The very dismissive and care-free attitude towards a complaint I made about a store is appalling. I will never shop here again and neither will my family!

It’s okay but no good access for disabled. Surprise! One big step at entrance. Spar don’t care about disabled.

Manager jenny Richards was extremely rude after selling numerous bottles of milk that is still in date, brought 4pm yesterday yet this morning all bottles are off ....

Jenny offers replacement yet it will cost me fuel of 5.7miles each way drive ...

After this we can see there reviews are very poor for the spar in Bampton.

Resolution is cost me over £5 fuel x2 days trip for milk that they leave out for hrs after dilivered to the shop .hence why milk always goes off before the expiry date .

We went into the shop there were no price tags on the items they over charged us by a lot and demanded we pay now we felt intimidated(we are kids)
and gave them the money and went we will never go again

I would Like to write a review regarding my local spar store in south street greenock,,,,,i use the store every day and jenny the manager is just delightful,,,, all the staff are so friendly and always take the time to thank their customers,,,,,jenny has the store absolutely spotless and the shelves are always well stocked,,,,sometimes as consumers we forget to praise customer service and as i use this particular spar store every day i wanted to say a big thank you to jenny and all her staff as i always leave the store with a smile on my face,,,,,once again thank you to each and every staff member

Wells green crewe has Changed the times for hot food to be out use to be fully stocked before 8am now that they not starting work till 7 has had a knock on affect especially when u you start work at 8 and can not take my client his breakfast you would think selling products would be at the top off the list considering they run out fast it’s very popular service and will lose out on lots of customers all the work men builders that are always in there before 8 getting breakfast

Selling at extortionate prices for a start.
They have 100's of shops..the similar buying power as Lidl and Aldi yet they have rip off prices.
There business rates would be lower too.
I thought Premier was overpriced but Spar is in another league on their prices.
Selling Fosters Lager at 3.7% by volume alcohol..this is a new con..Selling coloured water..this reduces the price they pay and still charging as if it was 4.5%.
Just a simple example..they stick their shops where there's very little competition so they can sell at extortionate prices.
They've got the buying power by numbers..if they used their brains instead of 'rip off thinking', their realise that they have a niche market and could sell half to double more if they could get round their inferior thinking and drastically reduce their prices.

Just to ADD'DD.. the female that served me, more than once ( I've been 'unfortunate enough to go to this so called local, errrr! ) had a face like like a smacked bum..miserable is an understatement..asked for a receipt, her face ( my thoughts were, I feel guilty for asking..her face again)
I've been in business lots of my life..selling, serving, waiting etc in any business is no different to leisure..A SMILE and THANK YOU. .is that such a problem when you are legally robbing me.
You get more of a smile from a lizard being fed..no joking.

Worse company to work for,some managers and supervisors are straight up bullies and upper management do nothing ,not fully trained just expected to know what you're doing ,expected to do all sorts of hours and slagged off if you don't want to do it, boss swearing at you in front of customers and telling you being off with the flu is a bad look plus the prices are disgusting for some things ,wouldn't give them my money ever again.

I’ve already written a positive review for our Spar store here in Motherwell Rd, Bellshill. This second review is an update as it seems things have changed in this store recently. The staff are fine but the extremely high price hikes added (since the new year) to most products has caused many folk I know to shop elsewhere. - They've added a £1 here, 90p there & even DOUBLING the price on a couple of items.
I realise prices are rising in the UK, but when I checked elsewhere many of the same items haven’t altered nowhere near as much in cost. So, this makes me believe that sadly, this shop is now PROFITEERING!! This must be due to the management deciding to drastically increase profits for the year ahead.
Their grocery prices are too high & the alcohol cost is now outrageous. - Way beyond the minimum pricing here.

A message to the management of this store…. Enough! You’re supposed to be a part of the community, so please stop ripping us off!
