We had a fantastic trip to Peru that was in large part due to the flexibility and attentiveness of our guide, Jose, and driver Aquiles. I joined the trip last minute and they were fantastic at flexing the itinerary to accommodate my needs and make sure I was able to participate as fully as possible. Jose added so much to our trip sharing his personal perspective and knowledge. We had an even better time because of his company. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime and making it so special.

Fabulous trip to Peru and the Galapagos!
Our trip was planned, modified and communicated wonderfully by Marisa. She was on top of a last minute change due to a Galapagos boat accident and quickly gave us options - better than other tour operators had been for their boat guests.
We had outstanding guides, particularly Milagros in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. She was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive to our needs. She modified the itinerary to avoid crowds and to work with our timing and pace. She diplomatically worked with other tourists and guides for the best photo opportunities.
The drivers and transfer agents provided flawless service including an issue when our flight was delayed several hours from Baltra to Quito. I appreciated having contact information for our guides and drivers. Plus the new app was a big plus for itinerary details, tipping guidelines, and restaurant suggestions.
Our week in the Galapagos was an amazing experience with our wonderful guide, Pati, who provided her photos and videos to us at the end of the trip - so much better than my own. I highly recommend Southern Explorations for a trip of a lifetime.

My wife and I had a wonderful trip to Ecuador. 7 days in the Andes and 7 days on a land-based Galapagos Tour. Itinerary was well planned and guides were excellent- very attentive and knowledgeable. All transportation arrangements were well organized. Accommodations were excellent.

This is my third trip with Southern Explorations and they have all been great. Communications and planning is always well managed. Kaitlyn was really knowledgeable and easy to work with for planning this last trip to Machu Picchu in March. Kaitlyn listened to us and planned the right experiences and accomodations for us.

Our Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu guide - Jose Luis is one of the BEST guides we've ever had. His knowledge, passion and energy around everything Inca and Sacred Valley is amazing. He's also a super personable and thoughtful on the needs/interests of his clients. We really enjoyed our time spent with Jose Luis (and Robert our driver). We left Peru with our minds full of Inca history, impact and traditions.

Our trip was fantastic. Southern Explorations modified our itinerary multiple times during the planning process as out schedules changed. Our guide Milagros was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and willing to adjust things to meet our needs. All travel arrangements went well. Would definitely use this company again the next time we come to South America

The accomodations and activities were exactly as described. The food was excellent at the all inclusive lodges. Each guide was well informed and spoke excellent English which was appreciated. The pick up times were right on schedule. Everything was timely and fun!

Patagonia was our 2nd trip with Southern Exploration and they did not disappoint. Like our Galapagos adventure with SE, everything went like clockwork and all the drivers, guides and support staff were knowledgeable, responsive and professional. The accommodations and informational app were wonderful. We’re already thinking of our next adventure with SE. Highly recommend SE!

Our itinerary changed last minute due to airline delays and as soon as other arrangements made I was able to reach Southern Explorations immediately and they updated our plans and guides who were right there ready to accommodate changes. The tours were customized to meet our physical needs, and all connections had people there to make sure we didn’t miss anything. The trip booked on the Elite in the Galapagos was spectacular, 5 star accommodations and meals. And same with hotels in Quito, they selected the best.

from our arrival at a foreign airport, to the hotel, to our flights to and from. The experiences provided us with unique opportunities to learn about the culture, history, geography, and environment of a new place. The guides were knowledgeable, professional, and considerate of our needs and could answer a variety of questions. It was a great experience overall and would definitely consider using Southern Explorations again for upcoming travel.

We had a great experience with Jonathon at Southern Explorations. We booked a private trip to Chile, Bolivia and Peru. The guides and drivers were great. We changed our itinerary several times and Southern explorations was flexible with the changes with no extra charges. I loved their App. I could view all the trip details in the App. The whole trip went smoothly.
I strongly recommend using Southern Explorations if your destination is South America.
