Very disappointing first experience…
Very disappointing first experience with Soldeli.
I placed Soldeli Order and spending over £150, specifically because I had arranged a sushi meal with friends. We planned the meal around the expected delivery and were all looking forward to it.
However, the parcel was not delivered at all due to a DPD delivery issue. As a result, we were left with nothing on the day, which caused significant inconvenience, embarrassment, and disappointment.
Although Soldeli arranged a refund, no compensation or goodwill gesture was offered. A refund simply returns the money I had already paid — it does not compensate for the wasted time, the disrupted plans, or the embarrassment caused when my friends had been invited over for a sushi meal and there was no food delivered.
I understand that DPD may have caused the delivery failure, but as a customer I ordered from Soldeli, not directly from DPD. For food items, especially sushi and chilled/frozen products, reliable delivery is essential.
Unfortunately, this first order has left a very poor impression. I would have expected Soldeli to offer at least a discount code, store credit, or some form of goodwill gesture given the level of inconvenience caused.
Very disappointing service overall.
