Brought a box from the shop sise got a lot for your money actually. Just placed another order for 2 boxes to try from the shop side. It's mainly for my younger sister as she gets excited about trying new things. Supporting smaller businesses has always been number 1 for me as I think it's important. The only thing I don't like is it's sent out by 2nd class. Snack'd emailed me and sent my 2 boxes 1st class which I brought was awesome. Amazing company.

I had previously written a glowing review of Snack'd because that was in alignment with my experience at the time. I've thought long and hard about whether I should write this review, since my experience had been so good with them in the beginning. However, this was far from true by the end when I decided to cancel my subscription.

Here's a list of the pros and cons from my experience, as I'd rather be as fair and balanced as possible.

Pros:
- Emails are responded to quickly
- Boxes are always dispatched on time
- Customer service is very supportive when you first join (at least from my experience)
- Their subscription boxes include snacks from around the world - Japan, Thailand, Philippines, USA, Spain, France, etc, whereas not all snack subscription services provide international snacks from outside of Europe.
- Their online shop has so many great snacks to choose from around the world. I found myself placing several one-time orders before I joined their subscription service.

Cons:
- Parcels are not sent with tracking so I never knew when to expect my boxes to arrive. They just turned up randomly on my doorstep, which isn't good since my neighbours aren't the most trustworthy people.
- Some of the Best Before Dates on the snacks were very short.
- I didn't enjoy most of the snacks in the subscription boxes. They tasted cheap and unpleasant, although a few of them were lovely.
- I didn't feel like I was getting value for money. I found the quality and types/range of snacks really poor and underwhelming.
- The final straw was when I received a snack that was completely stale/inedible. I raised the issue with their customer service. My concern was acknowledged but the matter was never taken seriously or resolved. I found this incredibly unprofessional, and would've expected better from Snack'd as their customer service was really good when I first joined. Even so, I was only with them for a couple of months, and would've at least expected them to maintain a high level of customer service for that short period of time, but clearly that wasn't the case.

Based on my experience - I wouldn't recommend Snack'd. I would advise them to change the postage method they use so parcels come with full tracking (not just proof of delivery), ensure that your products don't have short Best Before Dates because it's likely that the quality and taste will be affected by this, improve your snack selections for the subscription boxes with quality and taste in mind, do your best to maintain a high level of customer service so your customer's experience is consistent throughout, and please take any issues seriously when they are raised - Don't respond nonchalantly or be dismissive.

I hope you will take my feedback on board so another customer doesn't have the same experience.

EDIT - My reply to the response from Snack'd: Hi, I've reread over our emails regarding the stale product to ensure that I'm replying with the correct information. In my email, I informed you that although the Pretz stick had a pleasant flavour - The texture was stale. I ate a few sticks but wasn't able to eat most of the other sticks because of how stale the product was. You replied and asked if the pack was damaged and offered me a replacement of the same snack. I responded that the Best Before Date isn't far off so the product being stale might have something to do with that. I let you know that the pack wasn't damaged - everything was intact - I would rather not have a replacement since the same thing might happen again. You responded that you will try the Pretz yourself and see what they are like incase they are stale. I replied that it would be good if you tried the Pretz so we'll know if it was just my pack that was stale and the others are OK, or if they are all like that. I ended the email with 'Please update me on this 🙂'. However, in your next reply you did not mention the stale snack... In fact, you never mentioned the stale snack ever again. If you reread over those emails then it will match up with everything I've said here. I was incredibly disappointed in the way the issue was poorly handled/left unresolved, since I had thought that Snack'd had really good customer service, but clearly not. As you said in your reply on here 'Products coming from countries far away has a long shipping time so the best before dates on some products are unfortunately not always as long when they arrive, but there is always plenty of time to enjoy the products.' The BBD for the Pretz sticks were definitely on the shorter side (around a month from memory) but I wouldn't have expected them to had been rock hard/inedible. In regard to the Best Before Dates being stated on the website, this isn't always relevant since I received multiple snacks in my subscription boxes (selected by yourself) that had extremely short BBDs.

Changed here from another well known company as all they kept sending was repeat European stuff. Received my first box and the items were fantastic, far better than anything I received in 12 months with the other place. The shrimp and baked cheese lays were so good I made another order from the shop which has just arrived very quickly. If your looking for a good company for subscription then I highly recommend Snack’D.

I ordered a 1 off classic world box for a birthday present for my 14 year old nephew birthday coming up and I’ve been extremely impressed with the service delivered from Snack’d I spoke to Lotte at customer service who was really kind, caring, friendly, helpful and she puts the customer 1st and she really is a delight to speak with, Lotte also changed the postage of the one off world classic box I ordered to 1st class to make sure I received it in time for the birthday and it arrived next day as I ordered it yesterday, I also subscribed to their classic box subscription for myself. Really impressed with Snack’d and I will definitely be recommending them to people as well

We have been using Snack’d on and off for a couple of years and always been incredibly happy with the boxes. There is always a wide variety of products, rarely have we had the same item twice. Customer service is also fantastic and have been so helpful. We have tried a few other companies and always come back to Snack’d. Highly recommend.

Excellent company with the customer service to match. I’ve been receiving their monthly surprise box for several months now and am so impressed with the high quality goods. The time and care spent choosing this selection is clear as they never fail to impress. Each box contains a wide variety of sweet and savour snacks from all over the world; with a highly detailed digital information leaflet to accompany them. Incredible value for the price, receiving a total of 22 items including the drinks for only £24.99. Each delivery is always prompt too.

This high standard is reflected in other orders too! I recently ordered a large supply of some of the goods from the monthly box that were too good not to stock up on. After messaging to enquire about an update on this order I received a reply the same day. It resolved my issue and a little joke truly brightened my day. It’s abundantly clear that this company values customer satisfaction above all else. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I was with Snack’d for two years and it was an absolute delight!

I was a little sceptical at first because of a terrible experience with a different company offering the same experience, but i decided to take a chance and never regretted it.

Originally it was a mystery box from one country around the world each month, but in time, evolved in to a box full of snacks from all over the world each month. Giving you the chance to experience multiple cultures in one box every month, which I loved.

It’s easy to forget you’re dealing with a company because the customer service is so personal it really does feel like you’re just dealing with friends, and I believe that’s 100% intentional.

We’ve had many conversations over my time with them that was way more than just customer service queries.

The boxes were never late, in fact, sometimes they were early to account for upcoming bank holidays/holiday seasons. It really was a “customer first” attitude.

Frankly, the only reason I left is because I’ve been snacking too much and needed to step back from the temptation for a bit. This is 100% a subscription service I hope to return to in the future! Absolutely give them a go, you won’t regret it.

It was packaged beautifully and the family really enjoyed sampling all the different snacks. The info about each snack is great too. We can't wait for our next box!!!

Amazing customer service - there was a drink pouch in my last box that leaked all over the other products. I emailed customer service and within 10 minutes they'd replied to say they would send another box, which arrived a few days later :)

Best box yet, they just keep getting better X

It is a lovely gift to send, my niece loved the selection in the first box!

Overall the boxes have been better than other providers of a similar nature. This last month's box was a bit more 'filler' though, with some cheap items in there to bulk it out. This isn't usually the case though and the boxes are generally good value.
