Sling Failed to cancel subscription
Upon selecting a trial subscription, I immediately realized that I could not get a broadcast that I intended. I tried to cancel online, but could not access the option in my account. So I called and the person was of no help. I asked to be transferred. Eventually I reached a woman who understood my issue and confirmed she cancelled the trial subscription.
Fast forward several months, during which time I never received a single email or advertisement or billing notice via email.no communications at all to trigger anything that would indicate I was subscribed.
Finally I noticed a debit had been charged to my credit card and looked back to find months of charges from Sling. I had never once accessed Sling since the day I understood they cancelled my trial.
Im sure they could see I had not logged on nor viewed Sling; however, they refused to refund my money. I lost hundreds of dollars because it’s like $50 monthly. They did finally agree to refund the one current month’s charge.
Do not trust these people
Do not trust these people! They advertise things that aren’t being shown on their platform. Tonight i payed for a day pass intent upon watching Texas a m v lsu as it was advertised. However, once I’d paid and searched for the advertised game, it wasn’t being streamed on their platform.

This app sucks big time. If it lags it blames the internet but EVERYTHING ELSE works just fine. A lot of times you have to shut it down and reinstall the app just to watch a show, trust me…. Do NOT buy this app, it’s not worth it.

Service Failure and Unethical Refund Denial Policy
On 10/20/2025, I purchased a Sling Orange Day Pass specifically to watch a live NFL game. For the entire period of the pass, the service was completely unusable. I experienced continuous technical errors, including repeated failures to connect to the service and constant loading issues. I immediately performed all standard troubleshooting steps (restarting devices and internet, reinstalling the app) without success. The product I paid for was never delivered, as I received zero minutes of viewable content.
I contacted Customer Support via Live Chat on 10/21/2025 to request a refund due to the complete failure of their service. The representative was immediately dismissive and insisted on the company's "no-refund policy," labeling the complete lack of service as a mere "inconvenience."
I had to aggressively press the agent, emphasizing that their system failed to deliver the paid product, which they could verify by checking my account’s viewing history. Only after I escalated the issue and forced them to confirm my lack of viewership did the agent begrudgingly issue a refund as a "one-time exception."
This process demonstrates a deceptive and unethical business practice. Sling TV’s default action was to deny a refund for a service they failed to provide, forcing the customer to fight relentlessly for accountability. The entire interaction was extremely poor, unprofessional, and wasted my time.
Video stream is all dried up - SLING TV SUCKS!!
Tried their one day pass to watch Monday Night Football and it was unwatchable. The game would play for a minute - if at all. I tried the google phone app, their website on a web browser on my laptop and app on google tv. The results were consistently bad. Netflix worked just fine on google tv and youtube on the same browser so it wasn't the internet. Their service simply sucks.
I tried reinitiating the app, rebooting the smart tv and the results didn't change. Played for a few seconds and then just black screened.
Some would say that the problem was the load due to game 7 of Jays/Mariners but that simply can't be the case because the same issue continued after the end of the game. So the conclusion is that their service sucks.
Others would say that it has to do with AWS being down earlier in the day. Again, I had zero problems with netflix. So same conclusion - Sling TV sucks!
I was going to try the day pass as a way of checking the service out before upgrading to the monthly subscription. I'm so glad I tried this approach cause Sling TV SUCKS!!

This company needs to shut down. I can't access any television program tonight via the app on my TV or even directly from their website. Their customer service does not exist... they have shut down every phone number that they used so you can't call them anymore, and the chat on their website doesn't work either.

Sling has been out most of today 10/20. Over the last month there have been many outages and issues. You can be watching a news show, get kicked out and then have trouble and a lengthy time getting back in.
