SCAM ARTISTS

SCAM ARTISTS. BEWARE! DO NOT ORDER THE ONE DAY PASS. They will take your money, it won't work (error code 10-51 claims im using a VPN when I don't even have one), then they refuse to refund. SCAM. Sling used to be a company, now they operate out of a basement as best i can tell. Call customer support? It's trying to sell you a life alert device. Total scam. Beware.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! Tried their weekend pass for $10. It never worked. Reached out to support and they claimed I didn’t have an account. I called my credit card company to file a dispute of the charges. Sling also said they don’t do refunds even though the service never worked.

BEWARE!

My experience the exact same as Carol. I bought a week pass, and when I added sports for $3, they charged me for a full month. When I immediately reached out for a refund, they claimed I couldn't since I had used 6 hours, but it has only been 1 hour since the error! I'll never use it again.

It's confusing to use and has horrible…

It's confusing to use and has horrible cut outs when viewing.
I will be watching and it will start off buffering. Then the buffering freezes. Then the screen goes black. After 1-2 MINUTES the picture returns.
They need a better app and better infrastructure.

Worst tv service I have ever had

Worst tv service I have ever had. Their plans read like health plans. They divide everything out so there is no way you will know what you are getting until you go looking for a channel you always watch, only to find out that you have to add on another subscription to get it. There are a lot of basic channels that they weed out of their "main" plans. You sign up for the red and blue plan and think your getting everything; Think again. I have already canceled our Sling subscription during the first week. Of course, I have to pay for the month before the plan ends. Sling is a big scam with their deceptive advertising.

If I could give them a negative star…

If I could give them a negative star rating I would. I signed up as a new customer was told I would get a new customer discount and I did not. Then come to find out. I’m going to have to use a separate device to access my local channels. A pop-up appeared offering me the free device if I paid for two months of sling and when I tried to access that, it said this is only for new customers you’re an existing customer. So I tried calling the customer service number, which is no longer in service and was forced to deal with chat, which basically told me The minute I signed up I’m an existing customer and therefore I’m not eligible for the free device by paying two months because I’m not a new customer. This all happens simultaneously! So I canceled my membership only to be told that it would be canceled when my next billing cycle comes up, which is a month from now. So I haven’t even watched the service. I’ve already paid for it and now I can’t even cancel it and get my money back.This all took place within the matter of an hour.

I paid for a subscription to sling so i could receive the local abc channel, which was supposed to be part of the subscription. In fact it was not and there was no way to watch what I paid for. now I am out a months subscription fee! What a scam and there is no customer service

Sling TV avoid.

I tried to watch the Dallas Cowboys game on Sling tv. I paid for a day pass $5.40 for the 11/3/2025 game. Registered, got and entered the code. The game never opened, which let us to contact Sling help, horrible help, basically no help. We have multiple apps and streaming services, we know how to work the apps.
Then when I tried the phone number of
For service (855-372-8003) the message said the number was “no longer in service”. Next I went to their chatbot messenger and received every diversion you can imagine from the robot.
Bottom line the dollar amount is nothing but the fact I paid for a service that I did not get was pure poor customer service.
After lengthy chatbot messages I was asked if I wanted to talk to a technician. Sling wanted an additional $5 to allow me to chat with a live person.
I have screenshots of the chatbot messages, unbelievable the diversions the chatbot used to get me to drop it.
If I could write this and award no stars, I would. Very disappointed but Sling lost me from any consideration as a future customer.

I wish I had read all the reviews before I ever signed up! Horrible service, my husband said the worst rip off he has ever experienced. No refund! So be careful! We called to cancel after only one day!

Sling is the WORST

Sling is the WORST. DO NOT BUY. Signed up for trial, $24 for a month, so I could watch the MLB playoffs and World Series. Total waste. DVR didn't work for game 3, stopped playback halfway thru even though it showed it had recorded the full game. Could never find the games on the guide when they were playing, it would just show up as scheduled on my DVR. The first WS game was supposed to play at 8pm, couldn't find it anywhere, DVR showed it would record at midnight. Well of course on playback the first few minutes were the after-game show which gave the results before I could watch the game! Ruined that one. Game 6 & 7 same thing - no option to record or watch at 8pm when game came on, only recording a replay at 1am. Game 7 was completely ruined - the recording was 3 hrs, 2 hrs and 45 mins were the after game celebration with the winning team, and only 15 minutes of the first inning after that. So frustrating!! I even paid another $5 to add the "sports" channels so I'd have MLB network thinking I could watch the games there - nope! Not to mention their customer support is horrible - contacted them trying to salvage my game 3 recording, they just kept sending me the DVR "how to" page and kept telling me to try all the things I already told them I tried. Nothing worked of course. And their app didn't work on any of my apple products. At first I could access my DVR recordings from my phone or iPad or MacBook, but then after a few times they wouldn't open anymore. I could see them but nothing happened when I clicked on them. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, signing out and back in, all the things they said to do but nothing worked. Complete waste of money and very frustrating experience for something that should be very simple!!!

Did a trial month- then pause extra: big headache

Did a trial month. Apps (iOS, TVOS) were buggy, but watchable and the price was good.

I cancelled and chose the ‘pause extra’ option for 3 months at $5 per month, to allegedly receive access to paramount + and showtime services.

When the month ended I had no access that comes with pause extra. Spent over an hour on chat, waited 3 different times for a human after being disconnected, none of them were very helpful.

The issue was my credit card on file had changed numbers. My bank sent me a new card the week before sling’s renewal. The old card was declined and pause extra was not activated.

I received no notice of the transaction problem. I updated the card within 16 hours of the failed attempt. The chat agents could not restore my pause extra status, and I had no access to it, even though my account page said I was on that plan. The 3rd agent said I had to activate it on my side, but since my account said I already had it, I could not - there was not an option for it.

Their answer was to reactivate for a month at full price, and then pause again. But that would not restore my dvr recordings. And I would have to wait a month to get access to paramount + showtime service (which apparently is the name of a channel, not the full paramount + channels AND the Showtime channels, as anyone would assume by their ads for the pause extra service).

Overall 1 star for sneaky tactics, poor customer service, chatbot inefficiencies and disconnections, and a 2nd star for the service while subscribed- it was decent, but the apps are not up to modern streaming app standards.

Don’t ever use Sling

Don’t ever use Sling. Bought a weekend pass after YT TV lost ESPN and all i got was constantly buffering or grainy video or lost sound or all 3 while every advertisement is crystal clear with perfect sound and no buffering.

Scam Alert — Sling TV Takes Your Money and Vanishes

This is a scam TV service. Sling takes your money, doesn’t deliver what you paid for, and then blocks every path to real help. I was charged and barely able to use the service for an hour — the connection lagged, froze, and was completely unwatchable.

When I contacted customer service, they refused a refund and then ended the chat when I asked to escalate the issue. You can’t reach a real person, can’t get a refund, and can’t get the product you paid for.

Save yourself the time, money, and frustration — Sling TV is not a legitimate or customer-focused company. Avoid them at all costs.

No or lousy service on my laptop. Sound never works, except for commercials. Decent movie and TV schedule, but way too many commercials. I only get it for ESPN during football, and can't wait to drop in January.

Typical bait and switch. They advertise certain shows but when you look for them you have to buy another plan, after you already paid for one. Total bullshit and my credit card company stopped payment.

Such a scam

Such a scam. I subscribed to watch football and was only able to watch 1 game. No other games were available. Then I cancel my subscription and ask for a refund since it was the day it renewed and I knew I wouldn't use the the month that you get during the new billing cycle. Their CS pretty much said "No, it's a subscription and we won't refund you even though you cancelled it 10 mins after we charged you for it." Most other platforms would say "yep no problem" Not sling. Don't waste your money because they stole mine.
