Disgusting service
ONE STAR — ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH SKY MOBILE
I am absolutely disgusted with the way I have been treated by Sky Mobile. After what happened to me, I cannot wait for my contract to end, and I intend to move my mobile services elsewhere. I have lost an enormous amount of trust in this company.
What happened was not simply an inconvenience. It left me stranded, unable to use my phone at a time when I genuinely needed it. I attended a wedding/event and was in an unfamiliar area. I also have responsibilities towards two disabled elderly parents. My father has dementia and my mother is disabled. Being able to contact them — and being contactable myself — is extremely important to me.
I went to use my mobile phone and discovered that Sky had restricted/barred my service.
I could not make the calls I needed to make. I could not simply use my phone normally to arrange transport. I was effectively left in the middle of nowhere without the mobile service I had expected to have available.
Eventually, I had to rely on somebody else's phone and their mobile service so that I could arrange a taxi.
Just think about that for a moment.
I am paying a telecommunications company for mobile service, yet when I actually needed that service I had to borrow somebody else's phone because Sky had restricted mine.
My biggest objection is the way this was handled.
If Sky intends to restrict someone's mobile service because of an outstanding payment, then in my view there should be clear, prominent and reasonable communication beforehand so that the customer understands exactly what is about to happen and has an opportunity to deal with it.
Had I known that my phone was about to be restricted, I could have made alternative arrangements. I could have dealt with the payment, taken another phone, arranged transport in advance or made sure my parents had another reliable means of contacting me.
Instead, I discovered the problem when I actually needed my phone.
That is unacceptable to me.
There is also a much bigger issue here concerning vulnerable customers.
UK telecommunications providers operate under Ofcom rules concerning the fair treatment of vulnerable customers and people experiencing financial difficulties. Ofcom's General Conditions include requirements concerning the treatment of vulnerable consumers and the way providers deal with customers where bills have not been paid.Ofcom's published guidance also makes clear that providers should, where appropriate, take account of individual circumstances, make efforts to prevent disconnection where possible, allow people time to obtain help and support, discuss reasonable repayment arrangements and use appropriate methods of communication.
Given what happened to me, I believe Sky should explain precisely what procedures were followed before restricting my service, what warnings were issued, when they were issued, and what consideration was given to vulnerability and individual circumstances.
I am not claiming that simply having disabled parents means that a mobile company can never restrict a service. What I am saying is that telecommunications companies need to understand the real-world consequences of suddenly removing someone's ability to communicate.
Mobile phones are not toys.
People use them to contact elderly parents, disabled relatives, carers, taxis, hotels, family members and emergency assistance. They are often the only communication device somebody has with them.
That is why the manner in which restrictions are imposed matters.
Sky - over promise and under deliver
Sky has become an organisation that doesn’t give a hoot about customer service. Misleading customers by promising next day delivery for phones, promising the next day it’ll be delivered the next day, surprisingly still no delivery. Over promise and under deliver must be their new mantra and the “customer service agents” seem to have free rein to say what they like to get you off the phone. Dreadful.
I’ve been with sky for 9 years
I’ve been with sky for 9 years, 8 months… “Valued, loyal, platinum customer” my ass! Sky decided to take down the local mast with no notice to hundreds of customers with no contingency plan, no mitigation planning, and ZERO customer care in place which resulted in sporadic txt service since mid August 2026 through to 18- Sept 26 when I finally migrated to EE this took a whole 9 days to get my PAC code and not the 2 minutes stated by Ofcom! Tons of messing around passed from pillar to post, lied to on multiple occasions and my eSIM having no network from 7-Sept- 26 and that’s only because I had been down London for a week or I think it would have been a lot longer! So I voted with my feet and took my broadband with me! Disgusting customer service!
ordered an Iphone 18 pro
ordered an Iphone 18 pro, was suppose to be delivered today,
poor support service, failed delivery with no reason
Rubbish network.
I had to go to Sky Mobile to get the phone I wanted after being with 3 for many years. What a mistake that was. Half of incoming calls go straight to voicemail for some reason, presumably because of a weak signal. I constantly get a no internet message even if I am in busy areas where I didn't have a problem previously. I know they piggyback the O2 network, so I thought they might be ok. WRONG.

I was victim of a scam whereby someone claiming to be Sky offered me a new phone contract but then came and took the phone claiming it was a mistaken order. I reported this to Sky about 10 times and promised somwonw from Fraud would assist. Over 2 months later, they will not deal with the fraud and are charging me for an account and phone I havent got. I have cancelled my DD and now they are hounding me for money. Impossible to deal with
Terrible service from Sky Mobile
Terrible service from Sky Mobile – avoid if you need reliable support
I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience with Sky Mobile.
The eSIM on my iPhone Air stopped working, and despite speaking to multiple Sky advisers, they still haven’t been able to activate my SIM or get my service working.
What makes it even more frustrating is that I’ve repeatedly explained that my iPhone Air is eSIM-only, yet I was offered a physical SIM as the solution. I’ve had to explain the same issue over and over again to different members of staff, with no resolution. I’m just being sent around in circles.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be without a working phone and to spend so much time contacting customer service, only to end up exactly where I started.
I’ve since looked at other reviews on Trustpilot and, unfortunately, I wish I had done that before signing up. I’m now seriously regretting choosing Sky Mobile.
Very disappointing service and, in my experience, a complete lack of understanding of the issue.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Extremely unhelpful staff. After trying to resolve an issue 3 times and being told each time that it had been resolved i have now found it has not been. One female staff member was arrogant, rude and obviously found that informing me that the matter had been resolved for the 2nd time was funny. It hadn’t been. Shocking service.
Appalling customer service!
genuinely don’t know how Sky can treat a customer this badly and think its acceptable.
I’ve been trying to get my new phone sorted for over a week, the courier, DPD failed delivery twice then on the third "attempt" told sky i refused the package, which is a lie. After days of trying to chase DPD I contacted sky, I was specifically told that they were escalating the complaint and I would be contacted within 72 hours for an update. Those 72 hours have now passed and, unsurprisingly, I have heard absolutely nothing.
No phone call. No message. No update. No phone. Nothing.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I have already spent time chasing this issue, explaining the situation and being passed around, only to be given a timeframe that Sky themselves set — and then completely ignored.
If you tell a customer you will contact them within 72 hours, the absolute bare minimum is to actually contact them. If you can't resolve the problem within that timeframe, then at least have the courtesy to provide an update.
Instead, I’m left feeling like I’m being completely ignored and have to keep chasing Sky for something that should have been dealt with already.
I’ve been a Sky customer for 10 years and expected far better than this. The lack of communication is honestly ridiculous.
Sky: if you can’t sort the problem, fine — but stop ignoring me and actually tell me what is happening.
My monthly payment literally doubled…
My monthly payment literally doubled within 10 months ! And the signal in my place of work and perimeter was zero , then they are shocked that you want to leave, they think it’s great that you have free roaming in other countries but you can’t get a bloody signal !!! So it’s pointless. Not happy with sky at all .. don’t bother to join. I have now signed back up with Vodafone .
How this company is still in business…
How this company is still in business is beyond me...send me wrong colour phone so I send it back same day they send me another now I'm being charged for both I don't want it off my next bill I want it back in my bank !! Customer service is the worst ever impossible to understand them they talk so fast it is literally a different language. The contract is rubbish I'm surprised they haven't charged me for turning the phone on and all on top of that the 5 g 4 g it doesn't matter the reception is terrible.... The don't even get half a star
If I could give minus 5stars I would as…
If I could give minus 5stars I would as sky mobile customer service is definitely the worst CS in UK.Been with them over 12years and platinum VIP membership, had several phones over the years and I recently upgraded to the iPhone 17pro,the old iPhone 16+was paid off but sky kept taking the monthly amount
I have made over 10 calls and lot's of hours and still nowhere
3 calls after an hour I was told,my shift is finished and they put me back in the queue
2 calls after 45min they hang off and close the call
One said there would be an account review on Monday and a call -nothing
Another said there would be a call check as all calls recorded -nothing
So I have returned the iPhone 17pro back within the 31 days cooling off period, I wait for response
I have MacBook air and watch series 11 I said I want to return both as I decided to dump sky mobile, was told yesterday that I would get nothing for them as they are worthless, unbelievable as they both are near new
They are nothing but liars and con artist who want your money but never to help and if you have items from them they are not wanted back unless you pay total amount
Sky motto -Believe in better should say,Sky -Believe there is better
Stay away they are liars and not interested in customers at all
Existing 11 year customer - experiencing terrible customer service
I needed to get access to my mobile account. Spent 3 hours on an online chat where it was painfully slow and didn't resolve anything. Eventually they gave me a number to call - and a further 45 mins later, they resolved it. It was very difficult to understand the instructions and overall an incredibly frustrating experience. Would not recommend.
just spoke on the phone to sky mobile i…
just spoke on the phone to sky mobile i had an upgrade from iPhone 15 to iPhone 17plus in January this year i recently moved to ee i am still paying sky for the iphone 17 plus till my contract finishes now there sending demands for extra payments for the iphone 15 which i don't use since the upgrade there saying that i should be paying for the two phones every month if i new that i would not have got an upgrade i did not know about this until i left them nothing but trubble with them after 15 years with them paying well over £120 a month and get this i have never paid for two contracts for the same number disgusting
Just don't do it.
Just don't do it.
I swapped from EE.
I've had problems from day one.
I live in a network dead zone so rely on WiFi calling. It has never worked on sky.
Two months of repeated calls and chasing my tail. Still not resolved.
I asked to leave the contract. They will let you dump the Sim agreement but not the phones. Yet they can't say if it's their network or the phones at fault.
Besides that I've found network coverage and signal strength to be poor.
I wish I'd never bothered taking up with Sky Mobile.
Still fighting for a resolution.
STAY AWAY!
I've dealt with bad customer service before, and I've dealt with bad used car salespeople. Honestly, I would rather go back and deal with the people who treated me like rubbish when my car broke down than try to get a resolution from Sky Mobile.
To call Sky's customer service "bad" would be an insult to the word bad. A completely new term needs to be invented to describe just how awful the experience is. ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!
In June, I accidentally made an overpayment of £97.66 and tried to get it refunded. After multiple phone calls, emails, texts and social media messages over more than two months, I was constantly promised the refund would arrive within "5–7 working days".
It never did.
Eventually, I gave up and had to request a chargeback through my bank. My bank reviewed the case and issued the chargeback straight away.
Now, Sky has taken the £97.66 back again, the very money that was supposed to have been refunded in the first place, on top of my normal monthly payment. So I've effectively been charged twice, with no warning or explanation.
And now I'm trying to get the refund again...
Here we go. The circus has started all over again.
Absolutely shocking customer service. It looks like I'll have to go back to my bank once again just to get my own money refunded.
Moving to Sky has genuinely been one of the worst decisions I've ever made. I honestly wish I had a huge social media platform so I could warn as many people as possible.
TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
What absolute rubbish
What absolute rubbish. Dead slow but claims the 5g connection is excellent. When my contract ends, I'll be ditching Sky Mobile.
Totally let down by Sky mobile
Totally let down by Sky mobile. A diamond customer with 20 years of paying a lot of money to them, Went with Sky mobile in 2025. Everything was fine until last week. On the day we moved house and tried to complete on a house sale, the mobile service broke. Unable to make calls, receive texts, generally connect. Several very immature Sky agents tried to fix it but no success. They said they would send me a new SIM on 01 Sep - It didn't arrive. Have cancelled Sky broadband and TV after this, Mobile costs which I will happily pay to get away from these incompetent people.
Would have moved to sky mobile as they…
Would have moved to sky mobile as they have some good deals, but their customer service is awful
