Refused refund - Blouse in perfect condition- Tags on

I ordered a silk blouse that was literally my birthday present to myself as they are very expensive. The blouse was too tight in the shoulders. I did not remove tags , only tried for a moment and returned packaged well. I received the blouse back with a note that said it was stained. I inspected that shirt top to bottom. I could not find any stains. There was some dust maybe from fed ex box that wiped away with my hand. Customer service sent me a picture of the cardboard dust justifying the refusal and suggested I take to the dry cleaner and enjoy it . Since it doesn't fit , that of course is not possible . Do not trust this company !

Their return policy is ridiculous

Their return policy is ridiculous - go read it. It's made so that no matter what you do, they're going to charge you extra, just to increase their margins. They charged me $40 just to do a size exchange - ostensibly because they didn't like the box I used and also because some of the tags were missing (which they likely did, again, as a pretense to charge you more). Not a good retailer. Avoid them.

MADE IN CHINA

There’s no confusion here. It’s YOU. And you mention 2 items made in Italy. We ordered 2 sweaters and silk blouse. China. LIARS! so horrible that you do this to your customers. And then have the audacity to deny a refund. You advertise made in Italy and once item is received it is MADE IN CHINA! How dare you!!!! Paying hundreds of dollars for items we thought were truly made in Italy and you send to China to actually make. Shame on your company. We have sent a complaint to the BBB and will send reviews on every platform available. You are criminals.

Hello, our Ravella Linen Shirt, Portofino Linen Shirt, etc are all MADE IN ITALY -- they are NOT made in China. We will never advertise or claim any product as Made in Italy if it is not made in Italy.

It's possible you are confusing us with another knock-off company called 'Ravellia', now renamed as 'Laveliya', who has all their products made in China as described in your complaint.

Horrible service

The silk is a nice quality which is the only reason for the second star. Otherwise one star, if that.
I followed their recommendations faithfully and the shirt was clearly too small, so their mistake. Tried and tried to contact a human in customer service - nope, AI only. Can’t exchange because my questions aren’t answered. So I’m paying $10 to return BECAUSE OF THEIR MISTAKE. Done with this site.

I was so worried when I checked trust…

I was so worried when I checked trust pilot after I purchased a wedding dress for my daughter. It was the only design that totally fit her criteria. I never received an email to confirm my purchase. We followed the measurements to a T and hoped the dress would come. Three weeks after ordering the most stunning dress arrived. My daughter is beyond thrilled. It fits her like a glove and the fabric is spectacular. At just over 200$ it’s so hard to believe the fantastic quality of this dress. I highly recommend this company.

If I could write a ZERO STAR I WOULD!

This company is the WORST! I have emailed them over 5 times to return the 2 dresses I purchase! They haven’t responded at all!! I feel like they are trapping me to keep the terrible dresses!! They are the poorest quality! Do. Not buy anything from this company.

Horrible return policy and customer service

I like some of their clothing but their return policy and customer service is absolutely the worst and something I’ve never experienced.

I purchased a couple items, they either didn’t fit well or the hem was crooked. So I returned the items. Then Ravella CHARGED $10-20 PER ITEM claiming that I did not repack the items properly and that the silk shirts were wrinkled. So the $10-20 per item they charged me was just to fold the shirts. Ridiculous.

Several months later, I placed an order for 1 silk blouse. 4 days later, they send me an email saying that my account was “FLAGGED” because I’ve returned stuff in the past and they had to let me know that whatever I buy in the future is FINAL SALE. Just WOW. They said I needed to confirm I still want the shirt because it will be final sale. I asked what if the shirt has a damage or has a defect? And they still told me it would be final sale because my account has been flagged for previous returns. It’s not like I damaged the items I returned!! It’s offensive to tell a customer that they’ve been blacklisted basically because of returning items in the past.

If you buy from here, don’t expect standard customer service. If you return items, you WILL BE BLACKLISTED by Ravella. What sort of nonsense customer service is this?!

Ravella - you guys have some cute shirts but nothing so unique that I can’t find elsewhere. You keep treating your customers this way and you’ll go out of business in time. I’ll go shop elsewhere where the I can actually return things if they don’t fit or doesn’t look like the picture without being told I’ve been blacklisted.

We are sorry to hear that you have been dissatisfied with your experience.

We do our best to be as flexible and accomodative as possible for all of valued customers. From your order history, it appears there have been a total of 5 separate orders, for which all items had been returned from every order, except for 1 item out of 8. As a result, our system automatically triggered an alert for excessive returns (7 of 8 items returned over 5 orders).

For the 5 orders with returns, all or almost all of the returned items were returned in excessively wrinkled and roughly handled condition, and needed to be sent for special processing beyond regular return processing in order to be restored. Per our Return Policy returns shipped back heavily wrinkled and with excessive returns are subject to a minor servicing fee.

As a special courtesy exception as we understand it can sometimes take a few tries to find the right size or style, we had previously made 2 separate exceptions and waived any service charges and provided a full refund for multiple orders despite the condition and number of the returned items.

With your latest order we simply wanted to align your expectations with the best product and service we can provide, since the item ordered was just recently already ordered and then returned. Please note this was automatically triggered by the system as it was the same item as previously ordered and returned, suggesting it was not a good fit for your needs and expectations, and not specifically due to the previous excessive returns and condition of the returned items.

Our customer service team offered to fully inspect the new order and send photos prior to shipping to ensure your satisfaction as an assurance for you as peace of mind.

This is a very extreme and rare case and we are very accommodating in most cases and we have done our best in case, with 2 prior exceptions on your account already.

Customer Experience is NOT their priority

Christmas of 2023 I was traveling.

When I returned home I
received a gift purchased from Ravella.

The size did not
fit.

I asked for a return and the online chat rep said that the return window had closed.

They claimed that they offered an extra week for the holiday, however, if a purchaser is planning ahead, and the receiver is traveling, there is no accommodation given.

I spoke to their chat team (there is no way to reach a live person, no phone number, only an online chat)

They apologized, for the company’s terrible customer service policy, lack of a live person, and limited return policy.

I attempted to pursue an exchange & purchased a more expensive item from their store. They claimed to offer me a one time exception to use the gift card - unbelievable! As if they were doing me a favor. This hardly measures up to the standard for high quality brands.

I shared my size, measurements, height & weight. The online rep told me the Marcela coat I selected would fit, and that while they don’t have petite sizes, I should be just fine with the xs size.

I had no option but to trust them. The chat system specifically says that those people chatting are “fit” experts. They can’t help with customer concerns, but fit is right up their ally, so they say.

So I invest double the original purchase, based on their specialists recommendation. I took the time to say to her that I need honest advice because if this won’t fit, I’d rather look at something else in their store and purchase a coat elsewhere; they said it will fit, and that they’ve never had anyone complain about size even if they were 5’2 and that this coat is made with shorter lengths in arms and body. I ordered a size 0-2 xs at their recommendation.

keep in mind, their product line is extremely limited & prices more than double the market and exchange options are limited to their very limited product line. I ordered the coat.

At 5’2 it was huge! The arms came down to my finger tips, the length was to my lower calf & the body was huge. I typically wear a size 4. This was NOT true to size even in the body. My daughter is 5’4 and wears a size 0-2 and she tried it on and it was even worse looking on her. It looked like an oversized robe, not attractive at all. This is their smallest size, & is appropriate for no less than 5’6 regardless of what they attempt to say to make a sale.

I contact the online chat again immediately, & they asked me to email customer service. There is no option to speak with a live person.

For the prices they charge, having excellent real time customer service is a must, yet they elect not to provide this service, which is a huge red flag.

We purchased using the gift card from the prior order and visa for the difference, as we spent twice the amount of the first purchase.

The chat rep said she made a note in our file that if the coat doesn’t fit despite her recommendation that it will, that the company will provide a refund.

upon trying it on upon arrival, and trying it on my adult daughter for good measure - the item was put nicely back into the bag and box and returned.

Buyer beware. They will gladly take your money, but they will not provide you a customer service number, reliable information or care. It’s not worth it, spend your good money with a brand that prioritizes quality care and support, not profits at your expense.

Clearly the high costs are not going toward their employees either, because the chat is often off line, long wait times, and you only have access to “fit” consultants who fabricate to obtain a purchase and then rely on the limited return window to lock you in to a product you might not be able to wear.

We have not received any feedback regarding a full credit for the purchase. They attempt to lock you in to a gift card which forces you to select another item. They also have a one time gift card use policy, which means if the next item doesn’t fit, you’re stuck with it. They will make one time exceptions, however because it’s an exception, it’s not reliable.

Their policy is horrible and their focus is on taking your money - not ensuring you’re satisfied. Due to their very limited stock choices, often not having sizes, poor customer service that is email based, and limitless excuses that point to a return exchange policy of 10 days, it is extremely risky to buy from this brand.

The material was nice out of the box, but the complete overall product looks nothing on a woman like the models in photos. Unless you’re built like a Victoria secret model, be weary. I suspect they are pinning the clothes in the back, because they are boxier in real life than the images portray.

I don’t like speaking negatively, but this has to be shared so that people know what they are getting in to. Don’t become a victim of poor corporate policy. There are plenty of other great brands. We have not received word on refund yet, awaiting more excuses.

I Won’t Know Until Christmas. . .

I won’t know until Christmas. . .this will be a gift from my husband. But I don’t need to know until then. . .because everything that I have ever bought from Ravella has been exquisite! The fabrics, the quality, the colors, the sizing, the packaging, the shipping, customer service. . .All perfection! I already know! RAVELLA ~ ALWAYS PERFECTION!!!

The fabrics are beautiful however..

The fabrics are beautiful however the pieces just don't seem to fit right. I've ordered quite a few pieces from Ravella and to be honest I don't reach for them to wear. The silk blouses gape and buttons pop open. I am not busty or heavy. I am a physically fit size 6 - 135 lbs.
The tank tops I ordered are not a good fit at all. I doubt I'll ever wear them. I'm disappointed that I didn't return them as I should have. I'm sorry to give such a review but I'm just being honest. With the prices that Ravella charges the fit should be so much better

LOVE Ravella silk blouses and cashmere sweaters!

I LOVE both the silk and cashmere products from Ravella. For several years now I have ordered many silk blouses and this year I ordered my first cashmere sweater (our weather in San Francisco, California is seldom very cold!) Ravella is very easy to order from and delivery is fairly quick to the U.S. Product descriptions are clear, useful and true to the products I received. The colorways for both lines are so enticing that I have ordered more than one color in some products. Sizing seems true for both silk and cashmere products. Fabric is substantial and items are very professionally made.
