With that volume, occasional operational issues can occur under normal circumstances. What is not normal is the inaccurate and misleading narrative currently reflected on our Trustpilot page. The current reviews do not reflect our business, our ethics, or our 10-year track record. They are the result of a documented competitive attack. We have been actively working with Trustpilot to address this ongoing reputational harm. However, the platform’s response has been insufficient. The same gaps in policy and enforcement that allowed this exploitation to occur continue to allow it to persist. As a result, the original harm is being extended — long after the underlying issue has been resolved. While we are shipping orders on time and fulfilling all customer obligations, the false narrative has created unnecessary customer concern. This has led to increased sensitivity around routine shipping variables, escalated interactions for our Care team, and additional operational strain as we manually review patterns of inauthentic activity across platforms. This is not a reflection of our business. It is a consequence of platform failure. The continued visibility of inaccurate and manipulated reviews is materially harming our company and misrepresenting who we are. It also impacts customers directly — creating confusion and undermining trust where it should not. We have been in business for a decade. I loved all of my many caps but ONE problem

I loved all of my many caps. I only had a problem with one. It mildewed on the inside and I had to toss it. Just didn’t smell ok at all.

I won’t consider placing positive…

I won’t consider placing positive feedback until I receive my order for 2 showercaps, placed and paid for in October 2022.
It’s incredibly frustrating to receive daily emails promoting Shhhowercap.
April 2024. My order has arrived ! Eureka !!! Confidence is somewhat restored, although one of the showercaps is not the design I ordered, nor would have chosen.

After waiting 4 months, I did receive the shower cap. They also refunded my money. Going forward, this could go more smoothly if emails or responses happen when product delayed. Still LOVE this shower cap and would probably go through this again to get another

Ordered, Never Delivered. No Communication.

15-Mar-2024: I made an order in Nov-2023 because I had ordered from them before (about 4 years ago) and I did like their product. However, there was only pre-orders available... and 3 months later I still have nothing to show for it. After 2 months I started following up with emails but I was never responded to. Not good. Please don't order from them.

[EDIT 19-Mar-2024] - Within 24hrs of posting this review I received an email from Trust Pilot saying that Shhhowercap have requested more information (i.e. an order number and contact details) to verify my experience is genuine OR if I don’t respond within 3 days my review could be taken down. Wait, Whaaat???

Don’t you think that’s a bit steep to come in requesting to PROVE my experience after 24hours (and within 72hours) when I ordered something and haven’t received it 16 and a half *weeks* later??? So I sent them my order number and proved it, because I respond promptly, unlike Shhhowercap 🤨

[Update 20-Mar-2024] Shhhowercap have responded to this review publicly. I’m disappointed it took a review to get their attention. However, if I receive shipping and my order I will make another update to this review in the interest of providing potential buyers true and appropriate information.

[Update 11-Apr-2024] I've logged in today to let the community know that it is now 22 days after my last update and 14 business days (making sure to discount the Easter Friday and Monday!). I have still not received notification of my order being sent. No tracking number, no email - searched high and low including junk.

I've also noted today that within the last 24 hours Shhhowercap have edited/updated their response saying that my order was shipped on the 7th March. Like I said - no email record has been received. Why am I receiving communications through a review and not directly to the email I made the order from? Unfortunately this means I cannot change my review. However, if I receive my order I will indeed change it. (Today is exactly 5 weeks after supposed shipment so wouldn't you actually think that it would have arrived by now? Something is truely wrong here don't you think?).

Added - iteration #2 of the above... WAIT! WHAT?? Shipped on 7th March 2022!!?? My order was purchased Nov-2023. My First order was Nov-2019 which I received soon after. You can't post an item to me before I order it 🤨. This is getting more ridiculous by the minute.

[Update 27-Jun-2024] I believe my review to be complete. While the product (if you ever get it) is good, their service is non-existent. They respond only to public reviews and not your personal email you made the order from. Moreover, from a range of responses to many reviews on Trustpiolt by Shhhowercap I can see ‘they had a bad year with competitor attacks’, but sounds like to me they took that as their priority and not their customers. Good products and customer service always bring the customers back despite competitors and faith in that process should have been held firm to. Instead, Shhhowercap have ruined their own reputation by neglecting so many customers (just read the reviews on this forum to get the idea), and tried to respond publicly to ‘put it right’ when in actual fact, putting it right would have been to get their product out to those who paid for them. Even so, much of the information in their responses is questionable, in my case, stating my order was processed and sent to me months before I even ordered it. Clearly, this a messy company that should be avoided.

Yes! There's no question that we dealt with some complicated issues last year that slowed our response time to tickets and inquiries as well as the explosion of customer communications.

We're a very small team but growing back quickly! We have learned a lot from this experience that will only make us better for our Customers and loyal Brand Fans going forward.

Its a shame that we've shipped hundreds and hundreds of thousands of successful orders across the country and internationally since we started and this moment in time has overrode that goodwill, or at least the online perception of it.

The irony is that we're distracted from the business itself - and, our solutions, while managing these multiple platforms and customer reports.

We understand the frustration. Its just what we have to do to protect the brand (and, the accuracy of our business reputation) as we prioritize each of our validated customer orders moving forward.

DO NOT ORDER

Order took over two months to arrive and one item was missing. After several emails back and forth, often with no replies I was finally promised a new shipment and a refund. It’s been a year since and I have received neither. Save yourself the trouble and DON’T ORDER from this scam of a company! The shower cap I received was also not great, quite tight and badly designed.

Have ordered a cap in the past and had a good experience. However, in September 2023 ordered another and it still hasn't been delivered. All my queries are met with:

Still the same bad CEO

I ordered a cap in 2021 and it never was shipped. No responses from support or their online profile. I had to fight with my credit card company to get my money back.

8 months later, the CEO emails us saying that they have fixed their system, and straightened out their support line.

My wife has one shower cap of theirs from 5 years ago, and it has been great. Their product is solid. Their support and follow up executions have been abysmal or nonexistent.

At this point, this company should be labeled a scam for taking money and not providing any transparency.

Shipped after TWO YEARS!

I ordered a shower cap in the beginning of 2022 and several months went by without receiving it. I emailed asking for a status update on shipping and was told 10 days later basically “sorry for the delay.” I waited another month and wrote back that I wanted a refund. No response.
EIGHT months later, I got a response saying that they cannot modify or refund my order since it is shipping soon. But I can return the item for a refund after I receive it. ONE YEAR after that (today), I get an email stating that my order has shipped with tracking info. This has literally been a 2 year wait. Zero stars.

I never received a product

I never received a product. I was promised a refund over and over. Promised another product and refund. Nothing. $60 wasted. I truly wanted to support this business. It's a complete rip off.

SCAMMERS

This is my wife’s review: “Can’t believe this company is still sending out emails advertising their products. You will order from them and they will never fulfill that order ( I placed an order in August 2023). They will ghost you when you request an update and/or refund because your credit card is immediately charged when you place your order. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Buyer beware!”

Effective Follow-up and Support

Update on 4-19-24: I was pleasantly surprised by a follow-up call and full support. We are very appreciative of the response and clarification of what happened with our initial order.

Initial Review: Completely ineffective customer service. I ordered a Shhhowercap for my mother for last Mother's Day. I've been back and forth in emails with their customer service team, and even though many were affected with this issue, and they were aware, the only resolution was to send me new shipping label information, but the item was never received both times. I understand that third party issues can be challenging, but I don't understand how you could run a business this terribly.

TOTAL SCAM

I placed an order in September 2023. I have received ZERO updates or replies to many inquires about my order. I am so frustrated and I've exceeded the window to have my credit card cancel the payment. Meanwhile they are posting on their instagram and consistently spamming me with advertising emails! TOTAL SCAM.

*** Update. I did receive my shower cap finally. (6months) It’s an incredible product. It was a very frustrating process and required ALOT of pestering to get replies but I do hope they fix their issues because it’s a great idea.

Update - I received a call from the owner & founder who explained the situation. I have many years of system implementation and data migration under my belt, and now completely understand what happened, and it does sound like it was way beyond their control. Honestly, the product was so great that I've been tempted to reorder anyway, but they've more than corrected the mistake, which I really appreciate. They didn't ask me to modify my review, but I thought it was important to do so. (I had a great experience with this company many years ago. My caps needed to be replaced, so I ordered 2 new ones, with the understanding that there would be a 2 week delay. Today is the one-year anniversary of that order, and when their customer service isn't ghosting me, they're telling me it's shipping soon. They won't refund, they won't deliver...)

Warning

Warning. Total scam. Ordered a year ago and not received product. Sales team did respond initially but not for months now. Keep getting emails saying the product is restocked and on sale, but they haven’t sent the two shower caps I ordered a year ago.

Would give zero stars if possible. My wife saw this product on the Today show , Jenna and Hoda. Obviously Jenna and Hoda were scammed or Today show doesnt read reviews. Wife order some for gifts months ago, still no response from her inquires except product delayed will received after xmas. Such BS, Im having my cc company cancel and refund. . Do not order.
