We purchased a ShelterLogic tent in November to serve as a garage for a new car. Set-up was quite un-user-friendly, but we got it up. For a month it stayed up, and then a couple days ago, it got pretty windy here (peaking at 45 mph). One of the metal poles BENT in the wind, and the whole structure failed, caving in and scratching up the new car. We took the tent down and won't ever be using it again. Did not protect car as we thought it would.
***UPDATE (1/4/23)***: ShelterLogic did not provide a refund (only offering a 30% discount on a future purchase (which I won't use)), saying the incident was due to acts of nature. If they use "shelter" in their name, one would think that the structure is meant to offer some protection. It does not. ShelterLogic offers neither shelter NOR logic. If whoever is reading this review is considering getting a ShelterLogic tent, I would recommend NOT getting one. Save your $300 or spent it on a different company.

Bill Huff stands out as he was the only Company Rep. that called back in my searches. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

what made my experience great: two names one name is bill huff, he was easy to talk to over the phone with the problem i was having with the 21oz cover i bought for my 12x20x8 garage in a box. you never know how a company's personal will react when you have a problem, bill's professionalism was outstanding in every way. a while later after some e mails, he called me personally on the phone, explained how he was going to help, which in todays world getting a phone call is uncommon. being a older guy 63 and spending many years in retail, winning many awards for customer service and sales, it was nice to be on the receiving end of what i call top customer service from bill huff. give that man a raise. 2nd name, when i called and placed the order i talked to a woman, sorry i do not know her name, she was very phone friendly and we had some funny moments with laughter, which made my order a delightful experience. tom ecclestone

Bought a shelter logic cover 2 months ago and everytime it rains it leaks. Unreal.

Martine was great! We lost the drain plug cap on our 100qt cooler and although I thought it was a lost cause, I contacted customer service to see if any replacements were available. Martine to the rescue! I received replacement caps in two sizes in the mail today. I'm very pleased - Thank you Martine!

I worked with Martine Gallant who resolved all my issues regarding a mis-shipped shelter top. Although the mistake was a third party vendor, she got with her boss and found a resolution. She got a new one out in the mail to me immediately. Outstanding customer service. I most strongly recommend asking for her if you have a problem. Could not ask for better service.

Bill Huff was able to match a number we got off our Shelter Logic structure cover with a new number in his system. Nightingale Hosted Shelter's order for a new cover is now in the works. We use our structure as a tent kitchen in the camp our non-profit operates for 20 people transitioning from living in the streets to stable housing in Eugene, Oregon. Our Shelter Logic structure serves us well.

While I have not purchased my canopy tent yet, Bill has been a wonderful help with deciding what to purchase. He is knowledgeable and so helpful.

Bought a Shelter logic 1020 (10x20x8')

The structure was shacky at first. See my other comment.

Then, after installing the top cover and tigntening the lower bars to the poles, everything became much stronger.

Time will tell if it will withstand winter winds. :o)

ShelterLogic ghosted me.I have a 10x23 structure. The zipper broke on the side panel within the warranty period. ShelterLogic sent a new side panel out under warranty. The problem is the new side panel is a foot too long. I’ve sent pictures and emails to my customer service rep documenting the problem and he just refuses to answer. I even have measurements of the old panel vs new and sent pictures. It’s too big and they refuse to fix it. I said I’d ship the old panel and the new, oversized pane back to them. I have heard nothing. l do not recommend.

Horrible! I ordered a 20 ft' long carport but received only a 15 ft' carport. The two boxes with the extensions were missing. Shelter Logic and Lowe's blamed each other. Lowe's finally picked up the three boxes that I received and refunded my money. But this took one month. Shelter Logic assumed no responsibility for the mishap and made Lowe's rectify the problem.. I reordered the carport and this time received the correct number of boxes (five) with the correct numbers on them but seven of the roof panels were the wrong pattern and wouldn't fit into the other roof panels. I reported this to Martine Gallant, of Shelter Logic, who referred me back to Lowe's. I explained to her that even if it were Lowe's fault, which it wasn't, that their remedy would be to pick up the carport and once again refund my money. I explained to her thet this was not possible since I had already constructed the frame. I told her I needed her to send me the correct seven roof panels. She never did this and only sent me an email stating that she had referred the matter to her warranty department which is where I started. So I had to construct the carport using seven roof panels that don't fit. I filled in the gaps with caulking. What a mess! Horrible experience.

The quality control of the metal parts does not exist.
I live on an island in rural Alaska and obtained a Garage in a Box through the nearest Home Depot 120 miles away. The unit had to be shipped by barge to my location, for which I pay. The metal frame of the unit has so mant metals burrs left inside from the drilling of the holes, that the pieces do not fit together. I will have to spend many hours trying to deburr all of the joints just so I can put this together. I called customer service and find out there have been other complaints of this happening. I cannot exchange the item by just running to the neasest Home Depot. I am really PO'd about the poor quality with winter coming and needing this product. I would give it zero stars.

Be forewarned if considering purchasing a ShelterLogic product, they are not built to last. The canvas cover of my ShelterLogic garage completely ripped apart at the apex just over a year after buying it. And, as coincidence would have it, ShelterLogic's warranty is just one year. So, when purchasing a ShelterLogic product, you would be wise to factor in the cost of a new canvas cover in the purchase price since you will have to buy one just over a year later.

We purchased the 13 x 20 x 12 shelter logic garage. Some issues arose with the construction of the unit. I called the company and received prompt service from their representative to rectify the issue. Very pleased with the service. Would recommend this product to anyone and would certainly purchase their product again if need be.
