I've rarely encountered customer service as poor as this. I used the pay-at-pump option, and Shell held onto £100. Although the money should have been released back to my account after the transaction, five business days later, it was still missing. When I contacted support via live chat, the representative advised me to wait an additional seven business days and then closed the discussion. I recommend avoiding this inconvenience. It's simply not worth it.

I visited shell garage in cribbs causeway twice in a day, morning and evening for a total amount of £201, no points charged, I chatted with customer service where Monika just replied no receive no points. Garage has been doggy and customer service really poor, even trying to give my credit card number where you can see the transactions, she just denied

Went to Sutton scotney north, northbound station, wow - staff really dont like customers, after he stopped talking with other staff, I asked for a receipt, he tapped many times on his machine as if it was a great inconvenience. I used the toilet, good lord, unclean, every surface covered in diesel, not been cleaned in a while, it was a disgrace. will not be using Shell again.

What's the point of using the shell app? I would expect some good offers or discount on fuel, instead my rewards are telling me to buy 7 Costa coffee's! So spend more to get F all?
No Customer Service
After half a century I have decided to stop buying from Shell and it is all down to their useless APP.
They cannot be contacted by phone and theire live chat is as useless as their APP.

I have used Shell petrol for some time and since the fuel is always highly priced I used the Shell 'Go ' scheme (for what it is worth!) to try and get some "free" fuel. However, I recently visited a station whose 'Go' card scanner was not working. So, I forwarded a copy of the receipt to Shell along with a written explanation and asked for points to be reimbursed, something I know that they can do, but I never had any replies despite sending the same message THREE times over a one month period. That is NOT how you care for customers, no matter how big you are.

I'd give it no stars if I could, I called to pick up a parcel and claim a winning lucky dip on the lottery. The chap tried to get the ticket but said the machine wasn't working, I went to the next shop who said it has been claimed!! I have no proof but I won't be back in there for anything.

Odd customer service
Odd customer service. Normally I've never had any problems with gas stations but recently I went to one on my way to Bangor in Wales and there seemed to be a language barrier between me and the assistant. I understand that my accent is a little thick but after multiple repeats I had to resort back to using my phone notepad app. Little weirded out with this one.

Scumbags. No customers service always unavailable. Only on shell I'm able to fill up my tank what's originally 65l with 63-66l of diesel. The yellow warning light is not on.

Usually a very friendly place, today I had a rude and abrupt person "serving". When I asked if I could have a receipt, he huffed, jabbed the screen, and slammed it down on the counter, even though my hand was outstretched. Disappointed, as have never had this experience here, in what is my usual filing station of choice.

After 15 years as a regular customer at Shell Five Ways, I never expected to be treated with such contempt. I was browsing with a friend who was openly holding a large bottle of milk, ready to pay when a staff member abruptly demanded I empty my coat pockets. It was winter, I was wearing a bulky coat, and I was stunned. I complied, but made it clear how degrading and unjustified the accusation was. He hadn’t seen me take anything, and I’ve never shoplifted in my life, I'm 55 years old.
As someone who is autistic, I can’t help but wonder if my mannerisms were misjudged. I had to leave the store to avoid a meltdown. My friend still wanted to pay for the item, but was told we were banned anyway. What made it worse was another staff member, someone who likely recognised me from years of polite visits was sitting silently, watching the whole thing unfold. No intervention. No accountability. Just complicity.
This wasn’t just poor service. It was a disgraceful failure of basic respect, and Shell Five Ways should be ashamed.

On 07/09/2025 21:18 @ SHELL BROMLEY, (it came up on my app, that pick up your reward free Mars or Snickers Bar today), I bought £85.01 in diesel and asked the staff about a free chocolate bar, he was a very rude person and he did not give me. He said you should have told me before your fuel purchase. Told him he was a very rude man. He refused.

Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Trying to refuel as I always do for the last 4 years every Monday morning they stopped the pump when I was half way thru just because I had my BACK door open saying that I can run without paying 🤣. Wtf? I can’t go into the car after I was full to run without paying? Don’t understand the logic. I asked the guy working there he said he doesn’t care I will not refuel. Don’t think I will go to shell again. I bet that was just because I am not British. 😂
