Excellent service. But you do not need to offer me special offers of a PID. If you check you records, I already have sourced one from you and it has been fitted and operational for quite some time.
Very nice guys, helpful, respond quickly and generally quite pleasant to interact with. Most items are perhaps a bit overpriced but definitely make the Gaggia a much better machine. Avoid the overpric... Leggi di più

Due to the bizarre, restrictive and somewhat bullying approach adopted by TrustPilot in trying to force us to pay them thousands of dollars a year in order to simply display a link to this page on our website, as well as a summary of our review score - we have decided to NOT continue embracing or using this platform. Google Reviews and our our website reviews can be used instead. Shades of Coffee is a web based retail company selling niche products and solutions to home baristas and coffee enthusiasts globally. It's a small family business, based in Swindon, Wiltshire - in the United Kingdom and we specialise in the Gaggia Classic. We love to provide innovative products for the Gaggia Classic, and many of the products that we offer are unique to Shades of Coffee. Due to our very good and very specialist knowledge of our products and the Gaggia Classic machine that we specialise in, we mainly sell directly to customers globally - so that we can properly advise and support them throughout their coffee journey with a Classic.

Full service - amazing results.
My heavily modded Gaggia was is need of some TLC. Everything I needed was available and delivered very promptly and the transformation is amazing:
New brass boiler - more temperature stability
New steam valve, wand and "The One" - drip free controllable steam.
Low drip tray - brilliant! I can use a set of scales with my preferred cup or a taller cup.
Hopefully it's now ready for another 10+ years of service.

Amazing customer service!
Really quick delivery and the installation guides are excellent. I had a query which I emailed on Sunday evening yet had a reply in minutes! Same again the next time I emailed before 8 am. Do they never sleep? Astounding customer service and I am so pleased with my upgraded Gaggia classic E24 now (super steam, power switch, LED light & OPV spring upgrades)
Thanks SOC!

Gaggia Classic LED kit
I have a gaggia classic and wanted to see the shot and the tank better and these guys have an LED tank mod. So I promptly ordered the white kit and while I was at it different springs for the OPV.
Both turned up and in good time. The classic (yellow with a white LED kit) is now modded and looks great. However I can't say enough how good the fitting instructions were that came with each. Bit of an odd thing to get excited about but the last thing you want is to be flying blind and guessing.
Anyway clearly highly recommended.

Believe The Hype - Shades are Great!
Had my first two orders of kit from Shades recently and both were spot on. Excellent items securely wrapped. Thanks!

I bought the top box bundle kit w/ PID, flow control dimmer and pressure gauge. Overall it's a quality kit with thorough instructions. Docking one star for for two reasons:
1) One of the spade connectors came loose from the wire prior to arrival - so I needed to buy a wire crimper to connect a new one.
2) I found the disassembly, installation and reassembly processes to be time-consuming and cumbersome given the tight space inside the machine. After some frustration, I ended up removing the boiler completely, which made these processes much easier. I wish the instructions would have included this method.

The DIY dream machine
I got my girlfriend a Gaggia for her birthday a few years ago—she’s not big on adding tech to things, but she made one notable exception: Shades of Coffee. Their aftermarket kits arrive quickly to Los Angeles (usually within a week), are reasonably priced, and consistently top-tier in quality and attractive.
What really sets them apart is their support. If anything goes wrong, you can reach out directly to the owners and actually get help—whether it’s a deal, a replacement, or just walking through a tricky install. They’ve guided me through all kinds of troubleshooting, even issues not directly related to their kits.
So far, I’ve added The One, the flow control, the gauge, LED lights, the emblem, the PID wire kit, and the top box. Every upgrade was fun and slightly challenging to install—which I love. These kits are for people who want to learn their machine inside and out, develop some DIY skills, and embrace the process. They even post tutorial videos, like how to use a multimeter to check a fuse.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for high-quality espresso machine upgrades with a hands-on learning experience and outstanding customer support, Shades of Coffee delivers. And their kits? Always well-packaged, never missing a single part.

Surely it will arrive!
It taken longer than expect for it to arrive. But it did arrived. I have yet to install the OPV spring because I don't have a 10mm open end wrench. Wouldn't mind to buy it together with the necessary tool！
