With both sewing street and hobby maker the customer service has always been great, friendly and professional 👍I only wish I could say the same about another craft channel (CC) and as more suppliers are moving too you there is no need to use them any more.

I managed to buy the sewing machine my wife has looked at since its introduction and been dreaming about. This is her Christmas present and I have never bought anything so early leading up to the festive event! Delivery was on time. I now have to decide how to hide the said item!
Quick and easy to order and delivery was no problem. I have used sewing street many times over years and have only had a couple of minor errors which the very helpful customer service team rectified quickly and easily.
I ordered a sewing table on 29th July and was advised that it would be delivered within 11 working days. The money was taken out of my account. When it hadn't arrived I contacted the help desk where I was told they would investigate. On logging into my account I noted that the company stated my order had been delivered. It hadn't. The help team advised me that they would investigate with the courier. I then heard nothing and when I chased this up this week I was informed that delivery would take up to 28 days, at which point I asked to have my order cancelled and my money refunded. I have since been advised that it's a bespoke item and I should wait for it to be delivered and then ask the supplier to take it back. This seems nonsense to me. My contract is with Sewing street. Sewing street have not asked me for the make and model of my sewing machine, so I fail to understand how my sewing table can be 'bespoked' to fit it. This company simply don't care. I am over £300 out of pocket. Avoid at all costs
I had the same problem a lot of other users reported. I ordered an embroidery machine and a few days later was asked for ID. I asked them why and they said it’s to protect myself and them from any kind of fraud. No way am I doing that! definitely avoid!!!
Waited 2 weeks for felting kit...lovely kit except no pipe cleaners for the bears...so can't start the project even now. should have been clear what extras are needed
I'm shocked by the negativity on this website towards Sewing Street. Over there last few years I have bought a sewing machine, fabrics, sewing threads, sewing kits, books- so much stuff- and NEVER encountered any issues. Yes, some items can be more expensive but that's true of a lot of companies and it's down to your to do a little research before you purchase. The UK based customer service have always been so helpful and they have an excellent variety of experts and presenters. I'm more than satisfied with this company and my experiences with it.

The fabric felt completely different to the quilting cotton I am used to.
The invoice added VAT on top o the advertised prices, I can not remember the promotion saying I'd need to pay VAT on top. The fabric was pretty. But I doubt very much I'll be using SS again.
I wanted to order a christmas kit but as I'd been sent an email with a discount voucher for 20% off I thought I would apply the discount. Wrong, apparently I'd already used the discount on my last order; my previous order was august last year and the discount email was sent in february this year. Customer services informed me that only 1 discount can be applied to any account despite the fact that periodically I'm sent a discount code via email saying they are missing me! nowhere is this mentioned on the email I've been sent.
Ordered an embroidery machine which I paid in full, received a call two days later stating I needed to send a copy of my driving licence and a bill to protect me from fraud. I cancelled my order as I've never been asked for this information before when online shopping. I received my full refund quickly without any hassle.
I was planning to order a quilt kit, it was quite expensive at £279.99 so I waited until they had a quilt special hoping that it would be reduced. This morning along came quilt special and low and behold the quilt I was interested was shown at £379.99 with £100 off the price. Exactly the same price as it has been on their website for ages. Needless to say I didn't order it.

Still waiting for a CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER to call me back re a broken ruler damaged in transit.
Photos sent as requested of the ruler and the damaged packaging which had been re-wrapped in black plastic.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Absolutely furious with this company. I ordered an item from LivinginLovliness on the 13th October 2023 & still not received it, all I am told is they have emailed the supplier. I contacted LivinginLovliness too & again VERY poor customer service from them too. So frustrating as the product I paid for is still being sold on Sewing street!
One Star is too many. A message to you ‘Sewing Street’ bad reviews seem to be the norm, treat your customers with RESPECT, and deliver the goods which have been paid for!

You have to be carful what you buy, like everywhere else its out to make maximum profit. A lot of the accessories are vastly cheaper elsewhere. And some of their "offers" have little to do with sewing.I had to remove myself from the Facebook page because of the constant witch hunts and negativity. The customer services I found to be pleasant enough, they do the job their paid for.
I tried to order the green machine two weeks ago and when I got to payment page a message came up to say the company who owns green machine don’t sent to Northern Ireland. I understand this happens sometimes but thought should they not have made this known when selling? Anyway I rang the suppliers of the green machine and they couldn’t believe that ss weren’t posting but said certainly if I order from them they will send it no problem so I emailed ss and explained what that id contacted the supplier and quite rudely said they know nothing about it except that they made that rule up and it was nothing to do with ss so I persisted and told them the y need to contact the supplier and to please let me know the outcome so a few days ago i received an email to say the reason the supplier didn’t deliver was to do with the drop ship and the destination! At this point I thought to myself don’t waste any more energy I’ll order it directly even if the postage is a bit more expensive which is actually why I think this happened in the first place
