After reading reviews I decided to call and book a repair, I was told my Dads stairlift would cost £900 to fix, due to circuit problems! Fair enough as it was reconditioned when originally purchased.
He then gave me a quote for a reconditioned lift, with a full track and power swivel chair.
Wavered the call out charge if we decided to go ahead, which Dad agreed.
Dad paid a deposit and we booked an appointment.
Stairlift was then installed but minus the power swivel. Can’t fault the guy that came and installed however he installed a manual swivel.
After watching Dad use the lift he said this should have been a power swivel, I responded well that’s what we were expecting. He then read the notes from the order which stated install power swivel if needed! He agreed it was needed so we booked another apt to correct this. He agreed to not take payment for the remaining balance until power swivel was indeed installed.
Unfortunately Dad got stuck at top of stairs, which did result in a lengthy hospital stay.
Yes you came out and corrected your mistake before Dad came out of hospital.
However if we’d got what we ordered not the cheaper option, this could have been prevented.
Please check with the installation guy before any work starts that you’re getting what you ordered!

Although I stand by my initial review on the installation problems, I will add that everything has now been resolved, outstanding balance paid to the company not the debt recovery after speaking to Adam,

EMS Lifts refused to come out to repair my lift because it was old. This was the first time I had been told there was an expiry date! my chair is not used much because my husband died in 2016. I asked what I should do and was told "find a local repairer". Luckily I looked on Google and found Senior Stairlifts. I would like to thank you for sending an engineer (Chris) who soon solved the problem. I feel EMS were very unhelpful but luckily I have now found Senior Stairlifts.

I am writing this for my brother as he isn't computer literate " I rang Senior Stairlfts on the recommendation of my sister. The representative that came out was very pleasant and very professional.He listened while I explained what I wanted and worked round all the problems I could see with doors etc.

Really fabulous personal services firstly from Dan who did the initial visit. My father has had a stroke and is really frail and at times struggles with his speech, the compassion shown was second to none and it was evident that customer service was paramount to the company. Further to this Rhys was equally as professional doing the install and clearly took pride in his work and wanted to ensure we were happy with using the lift. Highly recommended.

Care if you vulnerable this is a company to be wary of from my experience

Dad paid £5000 for a reconditioned stairlift. He passed away roughly 9 months later. When we approached Senior Stairlifts to see about taking it back, they want over £250 for the removal service, and no value for the stairlift itself. Despite selling reconditioned in the first place. Took advantage of a vulnerable person. Tells you everything you need to know about doing business with them. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely amazing work left clean and tidy Scott stuck Spider-Man stickers and management gave toys for my grandson, we’re over the moon

Had stairlift taken out today Carl called an hour before arrival, he was very polite and very clean and tidy, all removed in about 30 minutes and gone ,very quick payment excellent service .

A more time-wasting company I have yet to encounter! Appalling communications (Can only assume it was a VERY inexperienced operative I spoke to!). A brand new stairlift, going for an absolute song but they wouldn't touch it without a 'sticker' on it. Sold the stairlift to another, more professional company (without a sticker fetish!) on the same day. Avoid at all costs.

3 or 4 days of utterly needless emails! I had to ask the same question more than once (not having received an intelligent reply ie ‘what info do you need from a sticker’. If you think that’s helping bereaved people, you need to be in a different business!

Excellent professionalism from the initial discussion and visit for survey to the office liaison and then the installation by karl and colleague.
Understand fully our needs and sympathetic.
An 86 yr olds quality of life improved from day 1. Should have done earlier. Don’t hesitate to have a senior stairlift installed.

BE VERY CAREFUL CAME OUT SAID IT WAS GOING TO COST 600 POUND FOR NEW CIRCUIT BOARD THE TECHNICIAN THEN SAID I WOULD BE BETTER OFF GETTING ONE OF THERES AT 2000 POUND MY SON IN LAW WHO IS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AND SAID HE HAD TAKEN 2 PLUGS OUT AND ALL THAT WAS WRONG WAS A LOOSE SWITCH FIXED IT STRAIGHT AWAY WORKING PERFECT CON MEN

The engineer came to fix the stairlift, it was badly broken and he recommended a replacement lift, correctly.

Engineer returned to install a replacement lift within 2 days. Fitted efficiently and professionally.

The two gentlemen that came out where very efficient and nice people. The job was done very quickly and thoroughly and they both had alot of patience with my 88 yr old dad who has Alzheimer's so thank you gents.

Scott uninstalled a stairlift that was no longer required. Very quick, tidy and cleaned up after. No issues at all.

Fab company to deal with. Ordered my stailift at beginning of Oct 24 then unfortunately had to spend 2/12 mths in hospital. No probs, lift installation put on hold.Was discharged Friday before Christmas on the understanding stairlift in place. Darren the engineer went far and beyond what could be expected which included a 100mile round trip for a replacement part he was not satisfied with. He worked until 2045hrs. He has given me and my family the best Chistmas gift ...I am home at last and so thankful to Darren for making this possible.

He arrived as planned and was friendly and helpful. Everything was cleaned and tided before he left and he also took some of my rubbish as the bin was full.

The engineer Reece was brilliant... friendly, informative and didn't leave till we were happy with his job and he made sure we knew how to use our stairlift.

Very helpful, engineer polite got the stair left done quick, didn't have to wait in all day.
