I recently purchased a Resmed 10 CPAP…

I recently purchased a Resmed 10 CPAP Device, Tubing and Philips Dreamwear Full Face Mask (fitting kit).

I had been advised by my NHS Respiratory Consultant that CPAP may be beneficial for me. Unfortunately the wait time was 12 weeks at the point they had machines available. In other words, how long is a piece of string.

I wanted to start therapy asap as I was really struggling with daytime sleepiness and fatigue. It had ruined my life.

Unfortunately these machines are very expensive brand new (around £1k all in) and it’s a lot to commit when you don’t know what improvements it may or may not make for you.

I happened to stumble across SelfiMeds site and was able to purchase a used CPAP machine. The Resmed 10 device had 3,300~ hours of use which is approx. 1.3 years worth of use. The device itself was only two years old. Online it is reported that the devices are good for around 20k hours use or 7 years. So this unit had plenty of life left in it, it’s practically new.

It was clean, had some cosmetic scratches which is to be expected, but most importantly of all, it worked perfectly with no abnormal noises from the motor and it didn’t smell of tobacco smoke, unlike the NHS sleep study equipment!

The SD card had been removed, but I purchased one for £8 from Argos as I wanted to capture my data for computer download. The resmed App also works on my phone and the device has the latest 4g chipset.

During my purchase, I emailed Selfiemed to check I was ordering the correct equipment and had an email back confirming this to be the case very promptly and the Machine was delivered next day with DPD.

In terms of set up, it’s a doddle really. Plenty of YouTube guides from SleepHQ on how to set the machine up and get the best results from therapy.

All in all, I’m super happy with the device and Selfimed has enabled me to access CPAP therapy at a fraction of the price for a new machine and much quicker than via the NHS!

Will happily purchase any CPAP equipment from them in the future and would be equally happy to recommend.

We are sorry to read your review, however the situation described does not reflect the full sequence of events.

The item was initially returned from Germany without prior notification or return authorisation. As a result, customs authorities were unable to contact us and the shipment was returned to you. Once we became aware of the situation, we assisted you by providing the correct return instructions and arranged for the item to be returned to our France facility.

During this process, you chose to open a credit card chargeback investigation instead of continuing the return through our agreed support channel. Once a bank investigation is initiated, the case is handled entirely by the payment provider and we no longer have control over timelines or the refund process. The investigation lasted several months and the refund was ultimately issued through your bank following their decision.

At no point were returns refused. The delay resulted from an unauthorised return shipment and the subsequent chargeback procedure, both of which removed our ability to manage the process directly.

We remain committed to assisting customers through standard return procedures and regret that this matter escalated unnecessarily.

Your order was shipped within the promised timeframe, and the one-day delivery delay occurred while the parcel was in Royal Mail’s network, which is entirely outside of our control. The tracking information clearly confirms timely dispatch from our side.

While we understand that delivery delays are frustrating, repeatedly blaming our company for a courier delay and posting multiple negative reviews across different platforms does not accurately reflect the service we provided or the facts of this order.
