Buyer beware! “Nashville” company required me to return items to China at my expense
I specifically ordered from Seen Woman Co. because its website prominently presents the company as “Built in Nashville, Tennessee. Est. 2021.” I intentionally sought out what appeared to be a U.S.-based retailer, particularly because I wanted a reasonable option if I needed to make a return or do an exchange.
Unfortunately, the clothing I received was disappointing in both quality and fit. When I contacted the company about returning my $150.33 order, I learned there was no U.S. return address at all. Instead, I was instructed to ship everything, at my own expense, to a warehouse in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, China. I was looking at spending roughly $90-$160 just to return the merchandise.
I asked the company to either provide a prepaid return label or a U.S. return option given how the business is presented on its website. They declined and reiterated that I would have to pay to return the items to China then pretty much shut me down.
I ultimately disputed the $150.33 charge with my credit card company, Citibank, and received a permanent credit.
I'm sharing this because it's information I absolutely would have wanted before ordering. If you purchase from this company, be aware that despite the Nashville branding, my only return option was to pay international shipping to China.
