I’m very disappointed with my…

I’m very disappointed with my experience at this shop. I bought some hats, but the quality was poor and definitely not worth the price. On top of that, the staff were rude and unhelpful. When I raised my concerns, the person told me to “buy from our eBay” and claimed they were the cheapest on the market, which was true at all. Would not recommend this shop.

I had a disappointing experience at…

I had a disappointing experience at Britannia Accessory. I went in to buy a hat, which was priced at £1.99 in-store. However, one of the staff members told me I could get the same hat online from them with a 50% discount, making it £3.99 including delivery. This made no sense – why encourage customers to go online instead? It felt like they were competing against their own shop.

The environment in the store was also quite unpleasant – the air quality was poor and I didn’t feel comfortable inside. A staff member began speaking to me, but instead of offering genuine help, the interaction felt awkward and dismissive.

They told me themselves that the shop is mainly wholesale and they hardly get any customers. It seems they’re now selling retail at very low prices just to attract a few walk-ins. I actually felt sorry for them at first, but unfortunately, the product I received was very low quality.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend visiting. The combination of confusing pricing, poor customer experience, and low product quality makes this a place I won’t be returning to. I hope this helps others make an informed choice.

We’d like to clarify a few points. Our in-store and online pricing structures do not include a 50% discount. We do offer limited discounts for first-time wholesale orders over £150, but we do not sell any hats at £1.99, either in-store or online.

We never encourage in-store customers to shop online instead. In fact, we always prioritise and value the in-person shopping experience. That said, our online service is designed for convenience and efficiency, with orders typically delivered within 48 hours.

It’s possible there may have been a misunderstanding or confusion with a different store, as the details mentioned do not reflect our pricing or customer service practices.

I recently bought a hat from your shop, and I was very disappointed with the quality. It felt cheap and poorly made.

Also, I don’t understand your business model. You claim to be a wholesale company, yet you’re selling directly to retail customers at very low prices. That’s a big mistake. You’re competing with your own wholesale customers – how does that make any sense?

As a wholesaler, your job should be to support your customers, not undercut them. When you sell retail, especially at cheap prices, you’re driving your own business partners away. That’s not smart business – it’s short-sighted and damaging.

Focus on wholesale. Stop retailing and competing with the people who are supposed to be growing your brand.
