I sign up for lifeline though safelink they sent me T-Mobile with out domestic Rom which makes it useless they are ruining! T Mobile name but anyway they would not put me through there Verizon network i guess its so bad! That they won't use it but anyway please stay away from SafeLink and Tracfone at all cause please.

Great service

I'm really not sure why they are reviewed so badly. I am in a situation where I could not otherwise have a phone or Internet right now and we all know that everything you have to do is web based nowadays. I have used their services for over a year now and even though I have needed to contact customer service a couple of times, they were very helpful and solved the issues quickly. Also even though I have a lower end phone I've had no issues with coverage. For someone in a temporary bad financial position this is a great company to use.

Lifeline applications

Everytime I put my information in it will only take me to the "bring your own phone" option. There customer service is horrible as well!

Zero would be more accurate. Verizon is a terrible company and there is no telling why they bought this company. I suspect iron the childish antics of the customer service people and the “management corporate” or higher up call center of people you will end up talking to if you are lucky that you’ll figure out quick that it’s all very normal crappy everything. Take it or leave it. Depends on who you talk to but ultimately not much gets done. It’s too bad cause they offer great on paper plans but if you aren’t lucky enough to actually get anywhere with your enrollment good luck. The FCC is worth complaining to but they won’t really do much either so I’d just go with a company that has the best ratings from it’s customers. Oddly enough I was swindled by a street agent for a 40 dollar phone and not one person even wanted to get the information about that. It was if the whole screwing over the taxpayer and scamming was so normal it just didn’t even matter. A total waste of time and money. A handful of people get filthy rich off of this program and that’s about it. Sad.. tell me again why these devices are so important?

Horrible

Horrible! Lost my number because of them. They will randomly shut you down for no reason whatsoever. Don't use them at all! It's a horrible experience. Trust me, you are better off at any other provider. Randomly disconnecting you with no reason, support will tell you to just re-apply, number is lost. Do not port in, they will lose your number!

Mishandling of SIM card

I recently experienced a series of frustrating issues with Straight Talk and Tracfone that have left me severely dissatisfied. My SIM card was disabled after requesting a phone number change due to a scam attempt targeting my phone number, which subsequently prevented me from using my phone or receiving crucial verification codes for accessing my bank account. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I purchased a new Tracfone SIM card and service plan. However, Tracfone has claimed there is an IMEI mismatch, which they say prevents me from activating the new SIM card. Despite providing the necessary PIN and attempting to verify my account by providing two phone numbers I have called in the last 60 days, Tracfone's insistence on this verification method has left me unable to use my purchased service plan effectively.Throughout this ordeal, I have spent over 8 hours on the phone with various customer service representatives, but unfortunately, I have not received any meaningful assistance. This lack of resolution has resulted in significant financial loss, as I am now left with unusable service plans that I have paid for.I am deeply disappointed with the level of customer service provided by both Straight Talk and Tracfone. Despite my long-standing loyalty as a customer, the inability to resolve such critical issues in a timely manner has severely impacted my trust in these companies. I would strongly advise anyone considering Straight Talk or Tracfone to think twice before choosing their services.

SafeLink Wireless is the worst California LifeLine service I have ever experienced safely Wireless has the worst customer service they don't understand your needs they don't listen and they take forever and approving you for Lifeline services SafeLink Wireless is a piece of crap I don't appreciate their attitudes toward their customers they do not have a caring heart they do not have an understanding they do not have customer service skills

Cheap things come expensive

Got carrier June 2023 service didn't work out of country their phones locked network and can't unlock phones. Service is slowAnd phones suck mainly bluphones have suck . They limit gbs and calls drop or disconnect different states and countries . Had issues calling with this service for half a year and random messages of people sending repair quotes of cars looking for person n9t me. The sites app unavailable in bluephone or discontinued cant manage account
Their online site complicated with captchas and extra info and harder time keeping up date with changes and what carrier or service have had to look up number safelink tied with verizon but can't use main version features since it's safelink not verizon cant trade in phones or exachange or buy new phones. Wouldn't recommend this carrier if you want good phone go for carrier has quality phones and service not company's phones and blu phones easily break no replacem3nt or repairs 3tc given don't accept phones and go carrier with better phones and service that wont drop or not work outside of america. Changed carrier a year later avoid call drops and out of country fees and not working all wifi calling expenses out of america

Please Overhaul your Networking Technology

Please get better tech support and stop outsourcing to foreign tech support who aren't even in America! I attempted the Verizon sim card update twice on my old iPhone 8 regular model and the freely sent sim card was a dud of some sort, and I personally had to pay the petty one dollar to ship me a new Verizon sim card (I use this free service due to my low financial strength and it was hard as heck to find a viable means to digitally pay that ONE DOLLAR, for YOUR mistake), and after a harder than necessary process, my phone worked and it still works, but it seems to still signify that its Tracfone, but maybe that is because Verizon owns Tracfone, but wouldn't Verizon slap their name on my phone as my carrier, anyways, everything looks the same, but the service is a bit worse than before. And I know its not just the legacy iPhone 8 I have, since everybody on newer tech is making the same argument....Please Overhaul your company and its networking technology and everything in general!

Phone Problems.

My phone doesn't work properly..it's an old Moto actually that I bought to replace a Hot Pepper. I bought that phone. SO old Moto only works with internet. Plus I pay dearly out of pocket to keep Verizon. I paid a Trackphone through Dollar General for a flip phone. Trackphone. I need a replacement card for this mess..please. help me. Even Dollar General tried to help me. I bought a flip, Nope. So my old Moto says hello Moto...and info fades except me. Please help..

One star for the entertainment

One star for the entertainment. Use QLINK WIRELESS! They work like they should. ACP no problem there after a week of dealing with human robots who hang up on the phone because a thinking individual is too much for them at safelinkwireless.com. Do they have any managers there? As someone else mentioned here: Use QLINK WIRELESS! Trust me, approval works in minutes! :)

It is actually great that I had that horrible experience at Tracfone BEFORE getting any service. I can just imagine how horrible that would be! Thanks GOD! :)

A headache without supervision in the making

Round 2 with a purported LifeLine service:

So first they (SafeLink, aka Tracfone) approved my LifeLine application via their website, but then told me they did not offer service in my area. Next thing I know it is 2 weeks later and I get this Nokia C200 in the mail with a sim already installed - keeping in mind I never got to a point of telling them I was planning to use my own device. Pulled the Sim and put in my much better Moto G Power, and every thing worked - even WiFi Calling (VoWiFi)!

For an unexpected turn, it was looking good... until I tried to port my number. They then told me I had to purchase a new SIM, refused to transfer me to a supervisor, then they suddenly said she could do something, twiddled for 5 min, then said she would call me back in 2 hours. 1 hour later - no service! Auto dialer called, and hung up on me, twice, so I called them from my gVoice line, and sure enough its disconnected. So I call them via GV, 2nd CSR gives the same song and dance about having to pay for a new SIM, refused to get a supervisor, then hung up on me.

Oh, and just for grins I fired up that crappy phone they sent me (which I never ordered or approved), without its SIM, skipped all the linking setup, went to do a couple system updates so I could run a PassMark on it to prove how bad it is - only to have the updates constantly interrupted because their bootstrapped and locked app is backloading several games and apps without permission or approval.

So, next up is filing FCC and BBB complaints

They purposely slowed my data ever month the service was horrible droped call sometimes people couldn't here me even with full bars had to use the phone out side for pepole to here me customer service was very bad they kept hanging
up on me then they wouldn't give me my port out pin it took 2 trys to get the info

Worst Wireless Company Ever!

SafeLink Wireless is the sh**tiest wireless company there is! I had the Free Unlimited Talk, Data and Text plan that's apart of the Government Assisted Lifeline. They shut my phone off at least 8 times!!! I've spoken with numerous customer service reps who either do not understand what you are saying or they end up hanging up the phone on you!!! The few times they tried to restore my services, my phone is shut off again!!! Then when they want to troubleshoot the phone, they keep saying that my services have been de-enrolled and I don't have lifeline, which is not true because I've checked both SafeLink and the National Verifier's websites and I am enrolled. Today, August 1, 2023 they said that I am enrolled which is true but why is my phone off still? I don't have a landline or any extra cell phone lying around. If something happened like my car breaking down on the highway or I was at home and I was hurt and unable to go to my neighbor's door and get them to dial 911 for me, how will I be able to call anyone for myself or receive roadside assistance??? Nowadays, it's very dangerous to not have a phone!!! Safelink is playing with people's lives!!!! I'm switching to another wireless company and if I have to pay each month to keep my phone on and running, then so be it! Goodbye, SafeLink, I was a loyal customer for 6 years but you guys are going too da*n far!!!! Forget you all!!! I hope your company goes under the water and under the jail for playing with people's lives!!!!

Safelink/Tracfone Wireless

Safelink/Tracfone Wireless, dba Verizon Communications, has the worst wireless service available. The customer service representatives are unhelpful and disrespectful. It took two days in order for my mother's ACP/Lifeline service to be restored to the phone they sent her.
I have never felt more insulted by a company's representatives, and I would recommend anyone not to use Safeline, Tracfone, or Verizon at all.

Service stinks and customer service is just as bad if not worse RUN FAR FROM THEM

Service totally SUCKS keeps shutting us off monthly and asking to recertification. Customer service is totally incompetent besides all of them barely speak English and when they get frustrated or don't know the answer they hang up on you. I guess you get what you pay for from a totally free state provided service. They get the lowest bidder like everything else and the quality suffers.
