I initially called to arrange a viewing for a house and was told by Agent 1 via a callback after a few hours that the house already had an accepted offer.

Later, I asked my wife to call, and she spoke to Agent 2, who told her they would speak to the owner and arrange a viewing for us. Shortly after, we received an email confirming a viewing for 2 PM on Sunday.

However, the next day, Agent 1 called my wife to inform her that the house was no longer available because an offer had been accepted—despite the fact that Agent 2 had already spoken to the owner and secured a time slot for the viewing.

Today, I called and spoke to Agent 2, who asked if I had cancelled the booking. When I said no, they mentioned something vague about the owner not wanting a chain and preferring a quick sale. This directly contradicted the earlier assurance that we were scheduled for a viewing.

Frustrated, I spoke to the manager, who simply reiterated that an offer had been accepted, without addressing the miscommunication or misleading information we'd been given throughout this process.

This experience has been marked by extremely poor communication, inconsistent information, and outright misinformation between agents. It has been the worst experience I've ever had with an estate agency, and I will certainly be looking elsewhere in the future.

Simply the best and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Alice Rimmer and the staff at the Ashton branch are great to deal with, professional and totally on the ball. They sold mother's property within days of listing and then their Move Manager, Geraldine Marsden took over to very ably shepherd the sale to completion. That is such a valuable role because it saved me the hassle and worry of chasing people up.

Good estate agents, our contact Zoe Waterhouse was helpful booking viewings and advising us through our house purchase following up the the vendor even after our purchase had completed.

I put my house on the market with Ryder and Dutton and I was really pleased with the results. We had the professional photo package, which I also recommend, and they looked great. We had viewings booked with an hour or so of going live. Our first viewers were the ones who brought the house. Within a few days.
