Won't be using again

I have used this company twice now, and on both occasions I had to chase my order.
This time, I contacted them to ask why the delivery date was a week away and was told, “We only received your order today; we will dispatch it tomorrow.” Five days later, nothing had arrived. I emailed again to ask where my order was and was told, “Thank you, we will get it sent now.”
I then queried why it had not been dispatched the next day as previously advised, but I received no response.
I would rather collect my prescription from the pharmacy myself. I only used this service because it was offered as an employee benefit at my workplace.

To add since this review was uploaded I have now received a payment charge for guaranteed next day delivery which I certainly did not get

I response to your latest reply, I don’t appreciate the level of detail shared here, particularly as this information had already been sent to me privately by email.

This issue occurred around four months ago, and at no point was sent a payment link or that there was any issue with my account. I have since checked my emails and can confirm I never received a payment link until last week. I am not able to make payment without a link, but I was never made aware there was a problem.
Rather than contacting me to explain this at the time, I was left to repeatedly chase my orders. I also had to provide a screenshot of my bank account to prove payment because your system did not show it correctly.
Posting this level of detail publicly feels inappropriate and attempts to shift responsibility for delays that I was never informed about. My original review reflects my experience of having to repeatedly chase orders due to poor communication, which remains unchanged.

We sincerely apologise for the delays and the lack of clear communication regarding your order. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to repeatedly chase your prescription delivery.

I apologise for any confusion, and I’d like to clarify the situation regarding your recent orders.

The delay with the first order occurred because the account profile had not yet been confirmed as paid. However, in order to ensure you received your medication without disruption, we dispatched the prescription before payment was completed. For 4 months you haven’t paid us the 9.90 NHS charge.

When the second payment link was settled on the 24/1/26 four months after the first prescription delivery, it covered the cost of the previous prescription. Following your enquiry, we again arranged for the order to be sent out despite payment not being finalised at that time.

Unfortunately, this is why the medication was not dispatched under our usual same-day service, as same-day dispatch is only available once payment and account setup are fully confirmed. We are currently still owed 9.90. If you are having trouble paying this amount please contact support@rxlive.co.uk and our team will be happy to arrange a payment link or a payment plan to pay.

To prevent any further delays, we can either make the necessary amendments on your account to take payment correctly, or we kindly ask that you complete the setup on your account.

Once this is in place, future prescriptions will be dispatched on the same day as approval when prompted.

Our team has gone out of its way to ensure you received your medication, even during periods when payment had not been made — something most services would not provide.

Leaving a one-star review after receiving prescriptions for four months without payment or penalty does not fairly reflect the level of support and care we have provided.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Using them for years!

I've been getting my repeat prescriptions delivered for years from these guys and never had any issues (caused by them). On the odd occasion my GP has sent my prescription to the wrong place but every time I've contacted RX Live through their live chat they've managed to help me get it sorted. If I've been worried about running out, my meds are on their way next day delivery!! Definitely takes away the hassle of requesting and then going to the pharmacy myself!

Terrible service

Terrible service. Wait weeks for prescriptions to be dispensed- not only due to Christmas/New year period. Numerous excuses which are not consistent. The website is extremely difficult to navigate and not fit for purpose.

The delays you experienced were primarily due to the Christmas and New Year period. During this time, several of our suppliers were closed, with some closing for up to 6 days and others operating with reduced capacity, resulting in an overall delay of around 5 working days across the supply chain. Unfortunately, this had a knock-on effect on dispensing timelines despite our best efforts to manage demand.

We understand how disappointing and inconvenient this can be, especially when waiting for essential medication, and we apologise that this was not communicated as clearly or consistently as it should have been. We are expecting service to resume normally next week. We will upgrade your account to a priority patient.

We also appreciate your comments regarding the website. Your feedback has been noted, and we are actively working on improvements to make it easier to navigate and more user-friendly.

I'd seriously avoid, they promise the earth, but don't deliver.

The GP sent over my prescription in the 2nd January and also some more items on the 5th January. I emailed for an update on Friday the 9th, they basically said they don't know when they're going to send the items. They issued a collection code but only for one of the items ordered and not the rest. I was promised yesterday that the rest of the items would be posted for delivery today... This hasn't happened, I'd now like them to issue a collection code so I can get the items I need locally, I have asked for this previously but they haven't supplied it. I'd also like them to close my RX Live account, I've requested this on multiple occasions but they won't. Please send me a prescription code and close my account.

Update...

Please stop messaging me on the RX Live account that you refuse to close. As I stated we'll agree to disagree... I stand by everything I said in my review, please stop messaging me.

PATIENT CONCERNS ARE MINIMISED AND DISMISSED

My prescription was ordered 7 days ago and has still not been delivered.
No communication from Rx Live to explain that there is a delay or reason for delay.
When I called to complain about this I was told to send an email. I asked to speak to the pharmacist the staff member said no, the pharmacist is very busy. I insisted on speaking to the pharmacist to raise my complaint. The pharmacist, whose reponse was that they have thousands of prescriptions and therefore it is not possible to communicate with each patient about delays with their medications being delivered. He seemed unconcerned with the delay of over a week for my medicationto be delivered.
This is the third time I have had a poor experience from Rx Live. The first was a dispensing error where I was sent the wrong number of tablets. The second was a dispensing error where the wrong strength medication was supplied in the box (double the strength) which was different to what was written on the label so I was overdosing without realising. Patient concerns are minimised or dismissed. I'm very disappointed in the service from Rx Live. I would recommend avoiding this company,perhaps with fewer patients they might get it right.

Rx Live has responded stating they did not make a dispensing error, well I still have the box that states 50mg and the dispensing label on it states 25mg. That is a dispensing error. Again,please do not try to minimise or refute dispensing errors.

Rx live is still clearly in denial of dispensing errors in their their response. These are basic principles. You (Rx live) supplied a box of 50mg tablets but labelled the box as 25mg tablets. This is dispensing error!! - and it was signed and checked by two people, and still the error was not picked up on prior to being sent out to me, the patient! Please don't deny and continue to excuse and warp a dispensing error on a public platform.

This is the third edited response from Rx Live to my post. To those potential customers looking for a true review of this company please read the 1 star reviews. In this third edited response by rx live they are still referring to a dispensing error as "confusion'. A medication box that states 50mg tablets on the box and contains 50mg tablets which is labelled with a dispensing label as 25mg tablets is a DISPENSING ERROR which led me to unknowingly overdose by taking DOUBLE THE DOSE as the label stated 25mg. Their repeated denial of this only strengthens my point that serious patient concerns are minimised. They repeatedly make excuses for MEDICATION DISPENSING ERRORS on a public platform.
They then go on to seemingly justify this by stating that they delivered previous prescriptions 'on time".

This is the fourth edit by Rx Live, they still insist are making a strange excuse about a dispensing error. There was no placing of a label on top of another label, which in itself if it did happen is dangerous. I have the box in front of me. The box is for 50mg of the medication and the dispensing label.on the box states 25mg, the two small boxes in the top right hand corner of the label has been initialled, this indicates that the prescription was checked by two different people and yet the error was not picked up and was dispensed incorrectly and supplied to me the patient incorrectly which led me to taking double the dose and overdosing without knowing. It is very concerning that two people including a pharmacist checked the item and did not pick up on the error.

I recommend anyone using RxLive to THOROUGHLY CHECK EVERY ITEM YOU RECEIVE AND CHECK THAT THE MEDICATION WRITTEN ON THE BOX MATCHES WITH THE MEDICATION AND STRENGTH OF WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE LABEL. I also recommend you COUNT THE TABLETS to be sure you have been dispensed the correct amount as I was previously also dispensed the wrong number of tablets.

I dont know anyone who is happy with a service that takes over 7 days to dispense and deliver their medications.

Christmas was 3 weeks ago and is not an adequate excuse or reason for delay in patients receiving their medications. Delays are not "frustrating" as Rx Live put it, it's a matter of PATIENT SAFETY to ensure all patients receive their prescription medications that need to be taken daily in a timely manner.

I would much rather take my prescription to any walk-in High Street pharmacy and wait an hour for them to dispense or use any other company than Rx live.

I would recommend everyone to AVOID THIS COMPANY for your own safety, peace of mind and timely dispensing of your medications.

We understand how important timely access to medication is and recognise how frustrating it must have been not to be kept informed. We are also sorry that you felt your concerns were minimised when you contacted us. This is not the level of care or service we aim to provide, and your feedback regarding your interaction with our team and the pharmacist has been noted and will be reviewed internally.

With regard to the medication supplied, we would like to clarify that this was not the result of a dispensing error. We received two prescriptions for the same medication at different times, one for 25mg and one for 50mg, and dispensed in line with the prescriptions issued by your GP at each stage. The earlier prescription was supplied before the dosage change was received. We appreciate, however, that this was confusing and understand the concern it caused. As explained to you over the phone, both items were present in the dispensing tray and one label was placed over another, which contributed to the confusion.

We can also confirm that you have received six deliveries from us, all of which were provided without next-day delivery charges and within the stated delivery timeframe. We do ask that, when using a free delivery service, patients contact us if medication is required urgently so we can assist where possible. The recent Christmas period, during which the pharmacy was closed for several days, contributed to delays due to a backlog on reopening. While we recognise this is not your responsibility, we wanted to be transparent about the circumstances.

Service levels are now returning to normal. According to the information in your app, your scheduled delivery date was the 13th. The app also allows you to request earlier dispatch using the “dispatch now” option or by contacting us directly. As your order had not passed the expected delivery date, an automated delay notification was not triggered. You received confirmation that your medication was approved on 7 January 2026, and a delay notification would have been sent had the delivery date been exceeded. We acknowledge that this process was not clearly explained to you during your call, and we apologise for that.

We can confirm that your medication is due to arrive tomorrow. While we manage a high volume of prescriptions, this should never come at the expense of patient safety, clear communication, or respect for patient concerns. Your feedback has highlighted areas for improvement, and we are grateful that you brought this to our attention.

As we have explained we can deliver next day, but you as the patient need to prompt us on the email you get, when you go into a pharmacy your effectivilty prompting them the same way. If you do not want to use us in the future please can you email us to cancel kindly.

Reliable, caring pharmacy with amazing staff

I can’t fault this pharmacy at all. They always go above and beyond for me with my medication, even helping out with emergency prescriptions when I’ve been stuck — they’ve always managed to sort it quickly and without stress.

Communication is amazing, they keep you informed and are easy to contact, which makes a huge difference. The staff are honestly brilliant — friendly, caring, and they treat you like family rather than just another customer. They’re always willing to help and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.

I’m really grateful for everything they do and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Mixed feelings about unreliable Service from pharmacy …

My personal advisor Thomas is excellent and very proactive gets back in good time. When I’ve tried the live chat, I simply have not had reply. I tried about 10 days ago and I still haven’t got a reply. Apparently I’m told by them this is a free service and so they’re backed up, but then why bother offering it? So I have mixed feelings. My medication is dispensed using different manufacturers. This will impact on the delivery and dosage of the medication and while being titrated is very unhelpful and it seems quite unprofessional and random. I’m very much not happy with this

Particularly concerta xl 27mg. being titrated because it makes a noticeable difference. But others although less important are also important to achieve consistency if possible.

First, I’m really pleased to hear that Thomas has been proactive and supportive — I’ll make sure this is passed on. However, I want to apologise for the lack of response via live chat. Waiting 10 days with no reply is not acceptable, and I agree that if a service is being offered it should still be reliable and set with realistic expectations. I’ll escalate this internally so we can review what happened and improve response times going forward.

Regarding your medication being dispensed from different manufacturers, I appreciate how disruptive this can be — particularly while you’re being titrated. Consistency is important and changes in manufacturer can understandably affect how a medication feels and how confidently it can be monitored. This shouldn’t feel random or unprofessional, and I’m sorry that it has.

If you’re happy to share the medication name(s), I can arrange for our team to note your preference for consistent manufacturers where possible and look into what happened with the most recent supply, as well as ensure your next dispensing is handled more appropriately.

I have a lot of medication but nothing has been too much trouble for the team at RX live, occasionally not all my prescriptions go through, I found the live chat very useful for this asking the question if they have received it they get back to me very quickly resolve the issue with the prescription and get it sent out to me the same day.

Horrible pharmacy prescription delivery service

My 5months old baby is 2nd week without the prescribed formula! They say - waiting for a stock without informing the patient that there will be delay! Same happen to my medication it takes weeks for them to send the medication when the website says 24-48h delivery. I will report it to GPhC unacceptable service! Awful!
I am updating my review after seeing the pharmacy’s defensive and misleading response. Their reply actually highlights the core problem, which is how they choose to speak to patients rather than take accountability.

They claim they “kept me informed” with emails, calls and live chats. None of this happened. There were zero proactive updates from them. I was the one repeatedly chasing by email for basic information about my baby’s prescribed formula, which ended up delayed for three weeks. At no point did they notify me of a delay, a stock issue or any reason for the lack of supply.

Their public statement that this is “not a GPhC issue” is simply false. Failing to inform a patient, especially the parent of a five-month-old child, of a clinically significant delay is absolutely something that can be reported to the regulator and NHS England. Communication failures that create risk are specifically covered by the regulatory standards.

Instead of acknowledging their own operational failures, they tried to minimise the delay, shift blame and create a false narrative about their communication. This behaviour is exactly what concerns me and is why I will be escalating this formally.

Quick clarification of the actual timeline:

• My prescription was issued on 18 November. I had to contact the pharmacy on 29 November because nothing had been sent. Only after I chased did they finally dispatch it.
• Another prescription was issued on 2 December and has still not been delivered.
• My baby’s prescribed formula was also issued on 2 December. It was supposed to arrive today but did not, meaning my baby has been without the formula for ten days, despite their advertised 24 to 48 hour delivery.

There were no proactive emails, calls or live chat updates. Every message came from me chasing them.

Their insistence that this is “not a GPhC issue” is incorrect. Failing to inform a parent of a clinically significant delay for a five month old child is a regulatory concern. Their defensive replies and attempts to minimise the delay speak for themselves. If they had done nothing wrong, they would not object to this being reported and would simply prove it.
I wont waste another second dealing with this incompetent pharmacy.

We would like to clarify that this matter does not constitute a GPhC issue. No claim has been made for this prescription, and therefore no regulatory breach has occurred. If you prefer, you may request that the prescription token be returned to the Spine. Please note that the GPhC does not assess pharmacies based on delivery times, as it recognises that delays can occur due to stock availability.

The dates are incorrect I am afraid, we only got the prescription in December and not November. I believe there is a serious confusion here. We have tried to call you and we will try again today.

Throughout this process, we have kept you fully informed. This includes a live chat update on Wednesday explaining the stock situation, multiple telephone calls between 9:00–10:00am, and a proactive email sent today without any prompt. We only escalate calls when delays are caused by a complete stock issue, which was the case here.

As previously explained, this formula is not manufactured or held onsite by us and must be ordered directly from the supplier. Following confirmation that stock has now arrived with the manufacturer, your order is scheduled for delivery on Saturday.

The delay has been caused by a national shortage of the prescribed formula. This is clearly stated on our delivery website, where all orders are subject to stock availability. We have been awaiting supply from the manufacturer and have now been advised that new stock is arriving today.

We fully appreciate how stressful delays can be, particularly when they relate to an infant’s formula, and we sincerely empathise with your concerns. However, this delay has been entirely outside of our control. Please be assured that we dispatch all items immediately once stock becomes available and would never intentionally delay a patient’s medication.

Given the length of time you have been with us, we are disappointed that a delay of three working days—caused by national supply issues—has resulted in such a negative experience, as this does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide.

For transparency, we are able to provide evidence of our attempted and completed calls should you wish for this to be shared. This is not about shifting responsibility; rather, no pharmacy can supply items that are unavailable from the manufacturer. As advised, your prescription was received on Friday, ordered on Monday, and we were informed it would arrive between Thursday and Friday. No claim has been submitted for this prescription. If an earlier requirement had been communicated, we would have advised accordingly. We just want to make it clear the prescription has been with us for less than 7 days, we will only inform you after 7 days, you’re clearly able to see in the app where your prescription is and as a patient you can contact us within that 7 days to find out the issue, the app will automatically email if your prescription goes past the delivery date. In this case it hasn’t gone past that date.

A very positive experience

From signing up for the service, I have felt to be treated as an individual. Shortly after signing up, there was a follow up phone call to make sure that I understood all that was available, and given a named contact in case of queries. The deliveries were quick and accurate. After a couple of deliveries, there was another call to ask if I wanted to use additional free services. All in all, a very positive experience.

We have been receiving our medications…

We have been receiving our medications through RXLIVE for a while now , and we have never ever had a problem they always deliver when they say even when we have a query they sort it out the same day would not go anywhere else .. friendly and helpful

Terrible prescription service.. AVOID!!!!

Terrible prescription service. After the 3rd time of our prescriptions taking over 2 weeks to arrive we finally said enough is enough and moved to a different one. The final straw was when I enquired where my meds were after waiting nearly 3 weeks for them and they lied to me and said they had been sent out 2 days earlier when in fact I got a message from Royal mail 2 hours after my enquiry to them saying they had received a notification from RX Live to pick up my meds!! They are blatant liars!! Also my doctor confirmed that they approved the prescription 3 weeks earlier so why was it not sent out? They obviously forgot all about it and only realised after I enquired about it. I would never recommend this pharmacy.. i would steer clear of RX Live unless you dont mind waiting a long time for your meds!

We would also like to clarify that orders do not typically take two weeks. Once all details are confirmed, we deliver the next day.

If there was a delay, it may have been due to a few possible factors:

New accounts may require address confirmation. In addition accounts need to be set up as instant dispatch.

Items may have been out of stock, in which case we begin sourcing them immediately. Our team will always call you to offer suitable alternatives if this occurs.
