This has to be the worst paint I've used in my 68 years.
It covers ok
But the toxic smell is so bad.
No joking
It's absolutely horrendous.
The work I painted yesterday will probably end up scrapped.
A £400 brand new cabinet that we only wanted to change the colour.
Avoid at all cost

After having gone through trouble with other paint brands, I decided to go for a good one with Rustoleum. I was using a spray machine on furniture and the difference was enormous. No runny paint making drops, perfect smooth finish…My only concern was that good brands don’t have trendy colours but I requested many samples (that were received in no time) and they were all very appealing and trendy colours. I ended up using Butterscotch which for me is the perfect beige.

Wish I'd read reviews before I wasted £18. The paint drips everywhere, really thin. Covering a magnolia paint and I'm on my 6th coat.

Worst of all, the paint comes off when removing masking tape, and that, in turn tears the wallpaper off. What a mess. The paint comes off like peeling off a face mask! Wish I'd stuck with gloss paint...

So disappointed.

It doesn't do anything it says on the tin! I ditto all the bad reviews, wish I'd looked before purchasing. But trusted that Homebase wouldn't sell rubbish paint! The tin said Matt Black but it dried (eventually & with very poor colour coverage) as shiney as ultra glossy varnish! Had to strip right back my new table legs, and shell out £20 on a tin of primer and a tin of actual Matt black paint.

Kitchen cupboard paint was amazing! Very impressed with the quality, coverage and finish of the paint. Kitchen is completely transformed. Bought new handles, job done! I finished with a matt clear lacquer to fully seal it. Really pleased with the product and would highly recommend the Kitchen cupboard paint.

Bought 2 bottles of the clear spray protect lacquer and it completely ruined a piece of furniture I spent a lot of time prepping and painting. It does not spray evenly and left a white dust behind that stuck to the surface - I now have to strip the cabinet again and spend a lot more money and time to redo it. Do not buy from this brand! Would really like a refund as the least they can do.

Furniture paint- satin finish.. I couldn’t believe after 5 coats it still wasn’t full coverage - watery and thin and dribbled everywhere. I complained and they just sent an enormous PDF complaint form that I had to download- I wasn’t about to spend even more of my time wrangling with about 20 questions about brushes and humidity levels and asking for photos and videos. I followed instructions to the letter and I promise you the paint was indeed useless.. Bad customer service and bad paint - never again..

No stars for the combo prime and paint exterior spray. Don’t be fooled as your project will chip and peel if you don’t use a real primer first. I used the product on a wooden outdoor table which I sanded first. Customer service gets four stars as I was quickly sent a refund for two cans of prime and paint.

Don't waste your time or money on this rubbish, I followed the instructions and made sure there was no wax or polish on the bedroom furniture to be painted. It looked really nice when finished but the paint just peels off with the slightest of touch or knock. Completely ruined the furniture after all the time and effort.

Terrible paint. It’s like painting with tar. Absolutely ruined my furniture. 48 hours and still wasn’t dry. The finish is awful and the fumes very overpowering. Wish I’d stuck with good old fashioned egg shell.
Will need to sand and re-do furniture.

Don't waste your money - look at all the bad reviews. I bought two tins and have now thrown them away. Used an excellent primer Zinsser 1-2-3 and then two coats of Rust-Oleum chalky paint as one coat was insufficient. The paint comes off and marks so easily and you find you have to go buy some other paint to cover up the mess.

I painted my whole king size bedroom set with Rust-Oleum spray paint and brush on paint and it came out beautifully
I used Rust-Oleum ultra cover, Chalked,Accent and Normal paint
I would leave pics but don’t know how

The fumes and smells that come from this paint is ridiculous I've had all my windows open and still getting to my throat. It's worse than gloss.

3 cans in a row were defective. Spray splatters then clog up immediately. Worst spray paint ever. Expensive disappointment. Wish I could give the product O stars.

I used American Accents Ultra Cover High Gloss. Very disappointed. I had my surface (wood) sanded and ready, the nozzle would burst forth with a web of paint costing me hours of re-sanding.

After using Rustoleum paints for 35 years, the last 3 containers (flat black brush-on and two different flat black aerosol sprays) were defective. Had to re-sand, and re-prep on both aerosols. I consider this a failed product.

Rust-Oleum Chalky White. Applied to wood. The colour separates when drying to form crazy paving. Rust-Oleum Chalky White not only cannot adhere to wood and primer, it can't event adhere to itself!

Bought satin finish for some kitchen cupboards on the recommendation of a friend, in Shortbread colour. She said the chalk finish scratched too easily. It was pretty obvious from painting a couple that it wasn’t going to cover in two let alone one coat as stated on the tin. Consequently I had to put on two coats of primer before putting on a top coat of Shortbread satin paint. Even being careful and using a short mohair roller, again as recommended, hasn’t given the finish I would have expected, so really disappointed with this product. I wrote and told them about this, but they have chosen to ignore my feedback. Will definitely look for an alternative product if I was to do something similar in the future.

Kitchen cupboard paint is amazing prepare surface as directions and you will be delighted. Was going to buy new doors to update kitchen but this paint has saved me hundreds 👍

This could arguably be the worst ever paint of any kind to be made. You may see high ratings in some sites but either these are fake or the people using them have very little to no standards. Don’t waste your time or money!
