I ordered dusky pink bathroom paint because it looked gorgeous on the pics. However it was more like hot pink. Silly me carried on and painted the whole room hoping it might lighten as it dries. Nope... Leggi di più

Paint was easy to use. I painted kitchen floor tiles. So far it is reasonably resilient. Pretty pleased with results. Has transformed the room.

Painted a small area with white Rust-Oleum Studio. A short time into painting my heart began to race and I felt anxious. The window was open. I'd never felt this when painting. I left the window open and ran a fan. Many hours later it was dry and I didn't smell anything. I went into the room, within 5-10 minutes the physical symptoms started again. This isn't normal, this paint is toxic! Also the brush I used which was immaculately clean now has black rings around the bristles to the level that it was dipped into the paint. This doesn't wash off. Again this isn't normal. Do not buy this paint!

It's a shame to write this review, because I quite liked the product. However, the consumer process didn't start the best and ended worse: I paid for delivery and the product was delivered quite late.
I ordered enough paint as per the coverage details, however it was way too much paint. i.e. they have this information incorrect. By the time the work was complete and I asked to return a tin, they wouldn't allow any flexibility to their returns policy which is 14 days - I was 4 days over this time period.
The paint itself is nothing special in terms of quality, the standard tile paint at any DIY store will be my next choice.

Great customer service from Dan who tracked my refund of paint (as my painter had incorrectly advised me)
Refund in place plus Rustoleum paint is gorgeous quality.
I used the Little Light shade which I can highly recommend 😀
Great Product. Great Customer Support
We have used a number of Rust-Oleum products for a variety of projects with great success.
I recently had a problem with one of their spray cans but customer service was superb & replaced the faulty can.
Rustoleum universal bonding primer was…
Rustoleum universal bonding primer was used on my Triumph motorcycle fuel tank. I used cause it said it sticks base coat to difficult surfaces. It doesn't. In fact this is the worst primer I have ever used. it sticks to nothing, nothing! The fuel tank that was carefully prepared per the website. Carefully painted. Then the PPG jet black bast coat was painted. Sanded and a 2k top coat clear added. I waited3 days before cutting and buffing. The paint cracked and pealing off in chunks all the Wai to the plastic tank. That way you know the primer is the culprit.
Absolute rubbish product
Absolute rubbish product. So annoyed that I can't return it! Does not do what it says on the tin, is the consistency of milk and I would have to do 5 coats to get any results....it's gone in the bin. Feel totally ripped off.
The most important factor when applying…
The most important factor when applying paint is the ambient weather conditions during application with surface prep and surface condition.
From the majority of these reviews with wording like “tin” for can and the spelling “colours” instead of colors, these reviews seem to be out of the U.S.A. I do not know if that makes a difference as in do they have manufacturing facilities outside the U.S.A.? If so, then perhaps there are problems with those manufacturing facilities that are not the same as in the U.S.A.? The products from Rustoleum have always been reliable and consistently proven over time. I do know that failure to properly shake cans prior to use and during use is essential. Also when brushing on paint if you do not use the proper type of paint brush then you will have paint lines. Also the color of the cap on every brand of paint manufactured is basically a reference and that is understood as far as I know. I have never seen any brand of spray paint that exactly matched the color on the cap. For one reason is the fact the cap is made of plastic in a mold using no type of paint at all for color. Paint cannot be used to change the color of molded plastics in the manufacturing process. As far as those who complain about having to complete a PDF form to file a complaint then to say they do not want to provide 20 minutes of time to fill it out have no place to complain here then. If they offer you a method to remedy your situation but you do not want to fulfill the process then why complain here ? I have had nothing but good results from Rustoleum products over many many purchases of their products. I also know that you must buy the proper product for the job you are doing and what conditions are present during use as well as the conditions of the final product. Do not use a product intended to be used indoors when painted on a item that will be used outdoors. Also the can’s instructions will specify temperature and humidity conditions required for proper application as well as necessary prep work needed. Also when using the product outdoors there are factors such as wind and possible dust that can dramatically impact the application of paint products. Also you should always avoid applying in direct sunlight if you can because the paint can dry faster than it should causing wrinkling. Also if you put on one heavy coat then try to apply a second coat you will have wrinkles in the paint. You must put very light coats when applying more than one coat because the ingredients that allow the paint to flow and spray are keeping the product in a liquid state and those same ingredients come out mixed with the paint. If you have applied a heavy coat and want to put another coat then you need to make sure you allow for that heavy coat to fully dry which can be as long as 6 days given conditions that are not favorable to drying. It amazes me when people do follow most directions but figure that if they follow most of them everything will be fine. I learned the hard way when I was young about following directions on products and how important it is. If you live where your outside temperature is only 43°F during the day and you want to attempt to do a painting project outdoors then you are not going to have very good results and that is not the fault of the manufacturer who ever they are. If your humidity is above a certain percentage you are not going to get great results. I have used brush on paints in the past and it is a trial and error process sometimes because one type or quality of paint brush may not provide the best results on all surfaces. You might use a brush on product that is designed for wood and metal indoor end use and get great results on wood then using the exact same brand and type of brush to paint metal and end up with paint lines and with trying other brushes you may find that it takes a brush of a different type and texture to get the results you desire. It also helps to always look for youtube videos for applying the exact same type and brand of paint you plan to use and see if there is one that matches you outdoor weather conditions for applying the product. The conditions under which paint is applied is the most important factor.
Don't use Rust-Oleum spray paint!
Our house numbers are in good shape (only 2 years old) but have got a little fated. They would cost $75 to replace then with the same type, so we thought that we would save some money and paint them. I lightly sanded them and painted them yesterday morning and let them sit a dry until this evening when I got home from work, so they have dried for 34 hours and they looked great. Today I painted the sides and applied another light coat to them and about 10 minutes later, the paint was bubbling up. I have used rust-oleum spray paint many times and have not had this happen. So instead of saving money, it cost me money. I would not recommend this product.
Rust oleum and Universal all surface…Disaster
Rust oleum and Universal all surface paint is by far the worst paint I have ever used in my life.
The consistency is treacle and the flow and finish are non existent!
I will never buy this paint again and it will cost me a lot of time, money and effort to achieve a decent finish out of the mess created by this paint.

Absolutely rubbish it’s like painting with milk. Avoid unless you like putting 10 coats on
1 star is 1 star too high
1 star is 1 star too high. Their paint labels hasn't matched what's in the tin, 4 incorrect tins and little contact from the company. Put us back weeks with the project and cancelled weekends because of them. Incompetence and inept spring to mind. Avoid like the plague. Seriously dire if the paint label doesn't match what's in the tin.....correction, make that 5 tins now. 3 weeks behind and their batch numbers don't match to paint. Do not buy from this company....
Wasted money
Wasted money , dont buy. i know have to spend time doing the whole job again.

Bahh
Not the Rustoleum metal paint it used to be,,doesn’t last,,doesn’t cover well, gloppy and harder to apply, disappointing, especially for the price
The 5 in 1 spray head is TRASH
Blew my mind how poorly it worked. I bought a can of antique white to spray an object about 24” x 6” and it stopped working before I’d even finished the first coat.
This red gloss protective sucks…
This red gloss protective sucks Rust-Oleum it blotches it runs it peels off metal when dry I will never buy their products again
I used Rustoleum concrete and garage…
I used Rustoleum concrete and garage paint for my covered patio. I followed the instructions to a T. I even contacted customer service to make sure I was doing it correctly because I didn’t want to do this again. I ground my concrete with an angle grinder and a concrete wheel. I was told I did not need to etch this. I proceeded as directed per customer service and the directions on the canned. A year later the paint is peeling and coming up. I have a very large porch. Some looks real good. Some looks terrible. I contacted customer service. They will only Cover the cost of the paint. I spent countless hours prepping this concrete. This is a DIY product. I feel they should help me figure out how to get this fixed to my satisfaction. I was told it was not covered under their customer satisfaction. I will never use rust oleum again. I had used another roast oleum product on a different project and it was horrible as well. Buyer beware go somewhere else do some thing else do not use Rustoleum!
