I love my boards and the service was amazing. I am loving making my selves and the boards have come up lovely and they look gorgeous. More than I was expecting. Thank you so much. I will defiantly recommend Rugged London and buy from them again. Thank you again.

I was recently contacted by another family that unfortunately had a terrible experience with David, so I felt it was important for me to write my story again to avoid this happening to anyone else!

David conned me and my family out of £1,900! We brought Victorian floorboards in August 2023 and was told by David that these would be delivered in 14 days! Months went by and they still were not delivered after many false promises and lies. We finally asked for a refund which was agreed… but David continued to lie to us about when we would receive the refund and eventually he stopped responding all together. We never received our money back nor our Victorian floorboards!
Completely disgusting and shameful!

Do your own research. Search David up on company house and see how many folded businesses he has had and the county court judgements he has against him.

I hope one day karma catches up with him as he should not be able to get away with this. Do not be fooled by the good reviews, I suspect these are fake and written by David himself.

Bargain price for shelves if you don’t mind a little bit of easy prep work

I used Rugged about 8 years ago. When I needed some more scaffolds recently, I was happy to see they were still in business. The service is as good now as it was then. Perhaps even better. If you need reclaimed timber in London, these are the chaps for you.

David was very helpful and pleasant.
Excellent service , delivery date set and on time.
I would certainly use and recommend Rugged London for any future projects.

I ordered some used scaffold boards to build some raised beds on my allotment. The process of ordering and delivery was straightforward and efficient, and Dave and Tony were friendly.

I ordered 5 reclaimed scaffold board from these guys. They were delivered a few days later, and turned out well! Would happily use again!

David was nice and communicative but delivered wrong floorboards and didn’t replaced them in time, many excuses were given but at the end of the day I remain with the wrong floorboards

Avoid at all costs! I was project managing a job for a client and they were supposed to receive reclaimed floorboards in August. The floorboards never materialised after lies upon lies and neither did the refund they were promised of £1,900! My client had significant delays with their project which has put huge stress on their young family! Avoid this company at all costs!!!

Our terrible experience with David and Rugged London started in August 2023 when we paid £1,900 for floorboards that we were assured were in stock and ready to be shipped. This was the start of many lies and mistruths. David never had any boards and had simply taken our money and hoped to fulfill the order after the fact. He then couldn’t and by the end of September and after many different excuses we finally asked for a refund.

From October to time of writing (21 December) David has consistently made false promises and out right lied about getting our money back to us.

Thanks to David my young family and I are going into Xmas with extra debt due to having to borrow money to finish our project. In any other walk of life the theft of £1,900 of someone’s money would be a criminal offence. Avoid this company at all costs and don’t be fooled by the other reviews (like we were!).

I needed to build a garden deck and finish off an adventure play structure and was was lucky enough to contact Rugged London. David was extremely helpful and generous with his time and advice and I purchased some boards for this community project. The quality of the boards were excellent, extremely competatively priced, (I called a number of suppliers), and with an efficient delivery to SE London, (Thanks Tony). I can highly recommend Rugged London.

David and his team were so incredibly professional and clearly hold great customer service at the heart of what they do. One of the only companies that I know truly willing to go above and beyond to meet customer needs. They provided a great quality of scaffold boards and I came out with a beautifully designed bespoke table for my family home. Exceptional experience from start to finish, thank you Rugged London and David!

Third time buying from Rugged and it was a great experience as always. The team and especially David always go the extra mile to make sure you are well looked after. In spite of it being the holiday season my order was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Cannot recommend them enough!
