Timely and cost less than expected and I really thank them for that
Only reason not 5 star is that one of the three custom buttons now is stuck down and doesn't work but not otherwise affecting lens function

Straightforward and very efficient, recommended!
The on line repair tool confirmed that my Tamron SP45 lens was something that could be repaired. I was sent a postage label and the courier confirmed when the lens had been handed over. Two days later I received the report and cost estimate (I was given the option of not going ahead and paying for the return postage). I agreed to the repair and this was completed in about 4 days.
Because I wasn’t going to be at home, the admin team offered to send the lens to a relative’s address and that’s what we did.

Fantastic service
Fantastic service. Took my Canon camera for cleaning after manufacturer said it was too old, and a US model, so they couldn't do it. Fixation did the job very quickly, and advised of a minor part which could do with being replaced. They were able to do this immediately, and for less than £60 my camera is now like new. I think the train journey took longer than the repair! Thoroughly recommend this company

Great repairs, unknowledgeable admin desk
Great speedy repair from the team as always, but I was disappointed to discover that the Vauxhall showroom is now merely a desk to book in/out repairs. The person manning the desk, whilst competent at the admin and polite, appears to have minimal knowledge of photographic equipment. I'd have had the same level of knowledge if I'd dropped my equipment at my local post office instead. Perhaps the admin staff can have some training to make it worth the visit?

Our front desk team are trained in repair processes and handling equipment, but as we no longer have a sales team on site, we would recommend contacting WEX Putney or WEX Whitechapel for detailed product advice.

Camera sent on a Saturday using the postage option from Fixation. Quote received and agreed Tuesday, camera back with me the following Saturday with the sensor cleaned and firmware updated!

Friendly staff, but Fixation's processes needs addressing
Very friendly staff who, when you eventually get to talk to them, are incredibly helpful and polite.
However, the cost of labour is very high.
Also, don't be fooled by Fixations estimate times for repair. Even when you call their Helpline, they will tell you that your repair is imminent, then not stick to their word. Be prepared to treble the time for your returned item.

We understand the frustration with delays. When parts are required from manufacturers this can extend turnaround times beyond initial estimates. Regarding the labour, the impact damage sustained by your Z8 required a full disassembly and body realignment, with over four hours of technician time logged, which is reflected in the labour charge. We appreciate your patience and your feedback.

Took my wife’s Nikon Z8 for a sensor…
Took my wife’s Nikon Z8 for a sensor clean and firmware update, all done in a couple of hours while we went to see a photo exhibition.
Ok a little sad they now charge for firmware updates (last time it was free) but it’s a business and they need to make a profit or they will close, I does say on the website that they charge so can’t really complain
Proof is I will be back when my Z9 need attention

Great repair was kept up to date with progress. Downside was having to wait about 4 weeks for parts to come in and having to the send the camera back for focus recalibration. Apart from that great service.

Regarding the online tracker, there is a known quirk where if a repair is submitted via the web form with different details to those already on file, a second portal account can be created. Sensor Clean and Filter Removal
I went in to have my camera sensor cleaned and a filter removed (which was stuck to the lens). The whole process took just over an hour, so I was able to wait in the nearby coffee shop and do some work. My filter was removed in its entirety, so it could be replaced back onto the lens, saving me from purchasing another one. I am extremely pleased with the service received.
