A year later we couldn't set the controls and our fridge freezer stopped working so we rang Redmonds. Even at 5.30 pm.Una found our order ,searched troubleshooting and solved our problem for us . We recently bought the flame tower from Redmond Electric - the flame tower looked beautiful and worked well, and although there were no issues with customer service, the flame tower itself is questionable from a safety point of view due to its height. Even in a relatively sheltered area and with the gas cylinder attached, the flame tower fell over and smashed - we’re just grateful it didn’t fall on one of our small children. Buyers be aware if you have small kids or pets, and place in a very sheltered area x

Waited and waited for almost 3 months for my clothes dryer to be fixed which was under warranty and in the end I was so fed up with them I asked them to forget
In early January 2026 I rang Bosch with an issue with my tumble drier not completing on any cycle and was still under warranty . Bosch took my details and advised that they will pass my details to Maurice Redmond in Gorey and one of their technicians would come and fix it. It was two weeks before I heard anything so I called they advised they had the wrong number for me and it will be two weeks before they’re back in New Ross. After a further 3 weeks still heard nothing so called again and was told they’d be down in New Ross that same week. They came and said the motor was broke and needed replacement but they’d have to order the part from Germany. Another two weeks passed and they fixed the motor then I advised that the actual problem of not finishing the cycle on any setting was still there and that I urgently needed the drier fixed as I live in an apartment and we are a family of 5 with 3 young boys and the washing is piling up in our hallway which is smelly and unsightly and some of the clothes are going mouldy due to prioritising school uniforms, bedding and towels and work clothes. To my dismiss it was yet another 2 weeks before they’d be down again but 3 weeks had passed so I called again. Each time there was some excuse or story even though the man was being nice I just felt like it was all a cod to keep me calm. They called again the following week saying they’ll be there in an hour and I’ll need to turn the drier on 1 hour before. I didn’t have it on one hour by the time they rang to come and fix it and I was told that I’d have to wait till they’re down again as I was the last call in the area. I got so annoyed that I told them to leave it altogether and I brought it to a handyman I know that fixed it that day for €50 saying they’ll heat pump was broken and also the water had stopped collecting in the drawer, the drier was full of water. I waited from the first week of January until the 3rd week in March for Maurice Redmond to fix which is way too long to wait by anyone’s standards and for that length I had no drier. Very poor service and very slow to get to you. Would not recommend as in the end I had to have it fixed elsewhere and pay for it myself even though I bet they were paid by Bosch for the work they never actually completed 👎 👎👎👎👎

I have used Redmond Electrical a few times previously without issue, however, my most recent interaction with them will be my last.
I sent an enquiry about purchasing a number of kitchen appliances in late January 2026. I was told that everything was in stock with the exception of the tumble dryer that I wanted, which I was told would be in stock the following week. I finalised the list of items that I wanted and was sent a Sales Order on 2nd February, which stated that everything I wanted was in stock, including the tumble dryer. I agreed that I wanted to place the order and paid in full on 3rd February and agreed a delivery date of 10th February. I received confirmation on 10th February that my order was being delivered on that day, noting that the fridge that I ordered had arrived and would be delivered. There was no mention of the tumble dryer. When the driver dropped my order off, there was no tumble dryer. He said that there was some issue with it and it would be delivered later.
I sent an email on the same day requesting details of when it would be delivered, but got no response. I sent a second email on 24th February requesting an update, again no response. Third email sent on 26th February requesting an update, no response. 4th email sent 3rd March requesting an update, copying various departments within Redmonds, still no response. Final email sent today requesting cancelation of the tumble dryer and a refund of the costs. No response. I have tried to telephone the accounts department to confirm that the order is cancelled and the refund will be processed, but no answer.
Prior to this, I would have been happy to recommend Redmonds, but the way that have ignored repeated requests for updates would put me off using them again. I appreciate that sometimes there are issues, but ignoring a customer’s legitimate requests in the way that they have is extremely poor customer service. I wont be using them again.

Before buying I phoned and emailed Richmond Electric regarding a few technical issues that I was unsure about. On each occasion I received prompt, courteous and informative replies.

Good prices, terrible support and logistics
I recently bought a couple of appliances from Redmond Electric because their pricing is very competitive. However, be prepared for a frustrating experience once you’ve paid.
The customer support is extremely laggy - emails are either answered days later or ignored completely. To make matters worse, their delivery partner (Caulfield Transport) offers very poor service. It took more than two weeks from the order date for a local Irish delivery, while all items were in stock at the time of the order and with items arriving separately.
If you want a bargain and aren't in a rush, they are fine. But if you need reliable delivery or responsive support, you might want to look elsewhere.
Two stars just for good prices.
