We're sorry you're shocked at the change in our free freight promotion. Removing the old $49 Metro Melbourne free freight (loved by many customers) was not a decision that we took lightly, but one we had to make due to decreasing margins in electrical products and increasing costs of freight of the previous few years. We had continued to pursue this free freight at $49 for quite some time absorbing costs, however unfortunately at a point it becomes no longer viable to do so. We hope you understand.
We can see that the email associated with your account was sent an email on the 24th Feb regarding freight changes and this did note that the $49 Free freight was ending. The freight terms and info page was also updated on the website and the nominal freight charge added to your order prior to finalising checkout.
We appreciate you've been a customer with us for many years and we hope you continue to purchase from us for many more years to come. If you wish to avoid paying freight charges, you're welcome to come and see our friendly staff on the showroom floor to pick up your items when you're in the North/West Melbourne area.
