I wish I could give QuiteLike 5 stars as I absolutely love their recipes and the cooking instructions are concise and easy to follow. They have a huge variety to choose from and my sons and I enjoy getting to select our meals for the upcoming order. They’ve enabled me to get one of my more pickier sons to eat different kinds of fish which is great. My gripe is the freshness of produce. I order 5 meals which are delivered on a Monday. Honestly, by about Wednesday or Thursday, the veggies are often wilted, the cucumbers are pitted and green beans are browning like they were packed about 2 weeks ago. If I have to miss a day during the week and cook the last meal on Saturday, I brace myself for what’s going to be in the bag. Forget about cooking a meal on Sunday. QuiteLike, you’re the best meal kit service I’ve ever used for variety and taste but for freshness… not so much.

Good food, good delivery, good recipes. Food quantity NOT big enough. I'm not a fat guy, I don't eat a lot, but it wasn't enough for me. Maybe 50g more of whatever would be nice PER portion.

So tasty! I have tried lots of food boxes over the years across NZ, London, and Australia and honestly shocked at how delicious everything is. These meals are definitely my favourite so far. I am super happy with the quality and have even learned a few new things, so can’t wait to host soon.

Great food, let down by delivery service d
I used to regularly recommend QuiteLike to friends and family - I found their meals good quality and value, and a cut above some of the slightly cheaper services, and their recipes are fairly easy to follow.
However, in the last 3-6 months QuiteLike appear to have changed who they use for their delivery service, and it has decreased the experience for me significantly.
The food delivery boxes have gone from being delivered directly to my front door, to being left out in increasingly random places, including: at my rubbish bins, in the bushes at the side of my building, under the stairs, at several completely incorrect addresses, etc.
I’ve had issues with every single one of my last four deliveries, and I’ve now contacted QuiteLike’s customer support team about this several times.
Their response was to let me know that: “delivery drivers are not required to deliver directly to individual units or floors in multi-level buildings…. Customers receive an SMS when the driver is approximately 5–7 minutes away, followed by a confirmation SMS upon delivery that includes a tracking link to monitor the delivery status in real time.”
Seeing as the boxes are delivered at about 2am, this is not particularly helpful - and the photos the delivery drivers take are often just been of the front of the building, and not where they actually left the box.
So unfortunately, until they fix their delivery issues, I would no longer recommend QuiteLike - not unless you like searching your block of flats at 2am for where the courier has abandoned your food delivery box.

Best Meal Kits
After having tried the other big name competitor, Quite Like is miles above and beyond. All the recipes are delicious, easy and fun. We get to try to things I wouldn’t have even considered cooking. Website is easy to use and there is flexibility to skip weeks or pause for a longer period if needed. Recipe choices rotate every week so you won’t get bored. Highly recommend

The meals and guides are easy to follow. I enjoy the variety and feel a sense of accomplishment in making them. I've adjusted the number of meals and paused weeks, so it's flexible, which suits me also. I did get caught out though with the pausing of orders. I paused to Mon Sep 1st wanting a delivery on Sep 1st but realised the pause was on orders. As these have a week's lead time, I've missed a week I would've enjoyed receiving meals for. Prompting your customers about this, when they pause would avoid confusion.

Very disappointing customer experience
I had paused my QuiteLike subscription for several weeks, and the first notice I received about my next box was an email at 11 a.m. on Sunday, stating that I had around 12 hours to update or cancel before it was locked in. That’s completely unreasonable notice for a $75 order.
I was out all day and didn’t see the email, so I’ve been charged for a box I can’t even eat due to my dietary preferences. The order isn’t shipping until the 8th of September. There is clearly time to stop it, but customer service refused to help or offer any flexibility, credit, or refund.
Policies are important, but the way this was handled felt rigid and dismissive. For a subscription service, I expect better communication and customer care. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed, and I won’t be continuing with QuiteLike.

We understand how frustrating it must have been to receive such short notice and then feel there wasn’t any flexibility to resolve things. We did refund the full amount and left a message on your phone. As a result of your feedback, we've also implemented a longer cut-off time, as we agree, this was not adequate enough time for our customers.
It’s clear we didn’t get this right, and your experience felt rigid rather than supportive. That’s not how we want our customers to feel.
We’re sorry to have left you disappointed and to lose you as a customer, but we do truly appreciate your honesty, it helps us get better.
Quite Like have made my life so much easier
Quite Like have made my life so much easier. Not having to go to the supermarket all the time. Delivery is made at a time that suits me. Between working , studying and looking after a child with Autism Quite Like has made a major difference in giving me back some time to do other things. Even my husband enjoys cooking the meals when I am working late.

I’ve enjoyed using QuiteLike, but there are a few areas where the service could improve.
Firstly, the use-by dates are often very close to the time meals need to be cooked. This can make planning across the week difficult, as some ingredients need to be used almost immediately.
The fresh produce, such as tomatoes and herbs, has also been a bit hit-and-miss. Some items arrive already wilting or deteriorate far too quickly, which impacts the overall quality of the meals.
In terms of recipes, the meals themselves are tasty and interesting, but after a while they start to feel very similar. A wider variety in flavours and cooking styles would help keep things fresh. It would also be great to see more variety in cuts of meat offered, as this could add diversity to the textures and styles of the meals.
Overall, QuiteLike is a convenient service with good potential, but improvements in freshness, shelf life, and recipe variety would make it much strongerdu

Great meal kits with generous portions. Easy to skip boxes when you want to do something else for a week. I've been using them for over a year and only had one of two issues. Each time customer service replied quickly and gracefully.

Local style and very professional
This is the best food delivery company. I've used 4 companies in total and they are all ok. Quitelike is the best though. I find the meals more what I would expect to cook in an Aussie kitchen - we're pretty multicultural and sometimes we want to eat from a bowl! It is also bigger and more professional then the other Aussie outfit I've tried so I trust the recipes (I mean I change them a bit because I can't help myself but they would work if I cooked them to the letter).

The quality of produce is very good and the value for money is the best l have encountered. Rarely have issues with this meal plan service and when l do it is resolved quickly. I can make amazing meals!
We used another meal plan for three years but swapped to quite like and we’re enjoying the variety the quality of the vegetables and meat. Everything is packaged beautifully and always arrives on time. I recommended to 2 other people to try and they also love using it! !

We love Quite Like. We’ve tried all the meals kits and this is our favourite. There’s a great selection of meals and a lot of the recipes are different to what the other kits are offering. We rarely get takeaway because we enjoy the Quite Like meals.

It’s great knowing my family are going to have delicious and healthy meals without too much thinking on my part .
