Excellent customer service!
I recently bought a dress off the website. Unfortunately, it was too small. I had the pleasure of dealing with Melody in customer service. She was extremely helpful and clearly explained the options to me. Even when I changed my mind about how I would proceed, she remained very professional and patient throughout. Thank you so much again Melody.

Horrible Experience
The dress did not arrive when it was promised to. The dress was not true to size. It was at least 2 sizes too small. The return process was a nightmare! I did not get a full refund and I had to pay a lot to ship it back. I lost over $40 messing with this company. The package did not have any paperwork with it. I had to go back to email to find a way to correspond. Many emails later I finally got an address that I could ship the item back to. I still have not received my partial refund. I have been dealing with this company since October 15 when I originally order the item.
Order number is WBQDUS6172

I ordered a dress for my 40th birthday…
I ordered a dress for my 40th birthday I was so excited only to find out it was going to take a million days to make and get to me.
I was worried that I’d have to wait a million years for a refund but the lovely Joyce got back to me within the same day and released a refund the next morning so I was able to find another dress. Love this place it’s great but disappointed about the wait times. I will still be ordering for my ball in February as the dresses here are fantastic.

Avoid at All Costs
Avoid at All Costs
Firstly, what a cynical, disingenuous, and aggressive company this is. My experience with Queendancer has been nothing short of appalling.
I paid extra for expedited shipping (3–7 business days), a service they themselves advertise and charge for, yet they completely failed to meet those terms. Their own records would show this, yet there was no accountability, apology, or genuine effort to make things right.
When the dress finally arrived — a gold prom dress — I was utterly shocked at the poor quality. It was substandard, badly made, and bore little resemblance to the product shown online. The workmanship is careless, and the overall finish feels cheap and rushed.
To make matters worse, their returns process is designed to ensure the customer always loses. It’s clear this company has built a system to protect their profits at the expense of their customers. There is no sense of honour, integrity, or moral responsibility — only manipulation and avoidance.
It’s now clear to me that Queendancer never had any genuine intention to “help” or resolve the issue. Their so-called customer service is just another layer of their cynical operation.
I will be posting at least 125 honest reviews to ensure other innocent people do not fall into the same trap. No one deserves to be treated this way after spending their hard-earned money.
In short: Untrustworthy company, poor product, and worse service. Avoid Queendancer at all costs.

Extremely Disappointed – Wrong Size Sent and Poor Customer Service
Your reply is an irresponsible response. SHEIN. Zara, Amazon etc sell to customers across the world but you don’t see them asking customers to return items to hubs/facility outside their country of purchase. Your website was UK domain, cost was GBP and you delivered to the UK thus you are required to abide by UK consumer law which you’ve not. You cannot ask a customer to return item to America because it’s your return base and expect customer to pay for international postage cost especially when the fault is from manufacturing defect. It violates UK consumer laws.
Apple manufactures in china but delivers international to customers across the world. However, if I purchase an Apple product in UK, I am not required to return the item to America.
You need to get your operating model right and if you are unable to abide by the consumer laws of the country you can remain a local champion in China.
Even if there was no defect in the product, and there’s been a change of mind, the consumer is allowed to return the item purchased online within 14days of delivery. Annoyingly there’s a manufacture defect in this case and the inconvenience is not just returning the item but the fact that it’s ruined my plans for my upcoming event next week and an alternative outfit needs to be purchased and delivered within a short period that is not favourable or realistic for me.
For your reference: order number is WBQDUK11676 and clearly your quality inspection is false because your UK size 12 does not fit and has been inspected by an independent expert here in UK.
Also I have been liaising with your customer service team and you have done nothing to resolve this aside ask customer to take tape rule, measure and send to you which is obviously a stupid request. No reputable company will request this. How a customer with 2 hands is expected to complete such quality inspection for you is beyond understanding apart from the fit test which I’ve sent.
Your dress was manufactured without any size tag, not even a tag to show made in.
Anyways I’ve provided the order reference again. It would be interesting to see the resolution you offer aside the £9 refund for an outfit I paid £104 for.
—
I ordered a UK size 12 dress from queendancer.co.uk on 18 October 2025 for an important event, paying £104.38. The dress arrived on 5 November 2025, but to my shock, it was not as described and completely the wrong size.
I immediately contacted the seller, sent photos, and explained the issue. Instead of resolving the matter professionally, I was offered three unacceptable options:
1. Keep the wrong dress and get only £9 back,
2. Receive a £65 coupon to reorder, or
3. Return the item to the United States at my own expense for “inspection.”
This is unreasonable and violates UK consumer law, which states that when a seller sends a faulty or incorrect item, they must cover the cost of return and provide a full refund.
I requested a UK return address and a proper refund, but the seller refused and continues to insist I pay international postage for their mistake. The lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism has been shocking.
I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from this site. My experience has been stressful, disappointing, and expensive. The product was not as described, and the customer service was dismissive and unhelpful.
I am now pursuing a refund through a formal dispute, as the seller has been completely unreasonable.

It’s been a pleasure purchasing from Queen Dancer. Their customer service is both professional and courteous. I can’t thank Melody enough for her well rounded care towards my purchase and the information about the tracking and problem solving. Thank you and have a good day.

Illegal company - read this to educate yourself about their unlawful actions
This is a follow up to another review I left as I was gobsmacked by their public reply as they blatantly lie saying that they'll return the item if the customer follows their return policy, but I did exactly what they asked, but they gaslight, ignore messages, and required me to spend more money sending the item tracked to China (despite being a UK company) only to have it returned back to me months later as it was 'unclaimed' by the receiver. This is not only bad customer service, it's illegal and they will be held liable. I'm writing this review to inform consumers so they can arm themselves with information to take action and to implore QueenDancer to re-consider how they do business so they do not continue to take advantage of their customers.
The customer can pursue the refund through a variety of methods such as: making a complaint (done, unsuccessful), or payment provider protection, charge back (debit card) through your bank so the bank can attempt to reclaim the funds from the QueenDancer's bank (advisable), or through a Section 75 (credit card) if the purchase cost was over £100. A Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 is a legal right that allows you to claim the refund directly from the card provider, even if the retailer is unresponsive or goes out of business.
Other options are to go to the Ombudsman or ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). The last option is to take legal action through small claims court (no solicitor is required).
Here's the thing, the company's liability depends on whether the return was based on their voluntary policy or a statutory consumer right. In both cases, refusing a valid return is a breach of contract or law. and they are liable for it.
For a 'Breach of Contract' (Queen Dancer's own policy) - A company's advertised returns policy, even for an unwanted item (not faulty), forms part of the contract you have with them. By refusing a refund when you have met all the terms of their policy (e.g., returned within 7 days, original tags, unused as was the case for me), the company is in breach of contract and I and others can pursue the refund through the methods I described earlier.
For a 'Breach of Statutory Consumer Rights', if the refund is required by law, the legal consequences are more serious. This falls under two main pieces of legislation:
1) Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA) - this applies for faulty/damaged goods. In this case, it's considered a breach of statutory duty, and the company must refund the money within 14 days of agreeing the customer is entitled to a refund. Refusal is a clear breach of consumer law.
2) Consumer contracts regulations 2013 - this applies to any online/distance purchase (customer changed mind). In this case, the company in breach of 'Statutory Duty'. The company must refund the money (including basic delivery costs) within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods back OR receiving proof the goods were returned. Failure to meet this deadline is a breach of the regulations.
There's also the 'Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008' which applies to illegal notices (false advertising) which is a criminal offence. It is illegal to display any notice or policy that deliberately misleads consumers about their legal rights (e.g., a sign saying "No refunds on sale items" when they are faulty). Trading standards can take enforcement action.
Under the law, particularly for online sales where a customer is legally entitled to cancel, the company must provide the refund: Without undue delay, and in any event, within 14 days from the day they receive the returned goods or proof of postage (or 14 days from the cancellation notification if no goods are supplied).
A UK clothing company that refuses a refund when legally required or when the customer has met the terms of the company's own policy is liable for a breach of contract and/or a breach of statutory consumer law, which can lead to court action and a legally enforced judgment against them.
Needless to say, I'll be following this up legally and I advise others to do the same.

If I could give this business no stars…
If I could give this business no stars I would. Purchased a dress at £94. When it arrived it definitely wasn’t a size 8. More like a 4-6. I asked the company to return the dress. They offered me £9 to keep the dress. I refused. They then offered me £28. I insisted they provide me details of return. The dress came from china but they wanted me to return it to an address in Texas.
I would not buy from this site again.

DO NOT BUY Off THIS COMPANY
DO NOT BUY OFF THIS COMPANY - RIP OFF CHINESE COMPANY
Unfortunately I did not read any reviews before I purchased. As its a UK website I assumed it was a UK company. It is very cheap quality clothes coming from a factory in China. If you want a refund forget about it!!
I received my dress and emailed after 10 days to see how I could proceed with a return. They ignore emails and you have to keep resending. Eventually I was told that the return policy is '' a 7 day window which helps maintain fairness to all our customers ''
I contacted the EU Consumer Centre and this is of course illegal.
Under EU law, when you buy a product online, you have the right to withdraw
from your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This period
starts from the day you receive the goods. Then then offered me a £12 refund and then increased it to £20. They will keep ignoring you hoping you will go away or accept a cheap pay off. It took me 10 weeks of constant emails and over and back to get a very small partial refund.

Refused refund - bribed me to remove bad review
When my dress arrived it looked awful. Terrible quality, long delivery time.
It took multiple emails and escalation to management just to get them to agree to a full refund.
The full refund is their advertised policy, and a legal right when shopping in the uk.
I then sent my item (had to send photos of packaging, tracking number, pay for return postage to USA) and when it was finally delivered they failed to accept it.
I was then told to arrange the re-delivery, even though I have no information about their warehouse, and as the sender have no any to make these requests.
All of this takes up about 30-40 emails back and forth with them.
At this point I just give up and post a negative review on here.
I then receive an offer of a full refund and a voucher for postage- IF I delete the review.
I have received my refund, finally. There are so many comments of people stuck in that same situation. I can’t in good conscience leave the review down.

SCAM!! AWFUL QUALITY, NOTHING LIKE PHOTO
Absolutely shocking company to deal with! Dress I ordered looks nothing like the image, shocking quality. Customer services offered me a £4 refund to keep the dress which cost me £6 so I don’t see that as a fair resolution! Or I can ship it back to china and have to pay the delivery which will probably cost more than the dress!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! ABSOLUTE SCAM
Update to original review, the company suggest a 30% refund now equating to £13 absolute joke. I have taken it as quite frankly I can’t be arsed to ship the junk back to china, but I do not see the £13 as a “resolution” They claim the dress is a true reflection of the image!! Definitely not. I will post a pic of their dress they claim it to be, I’ve since realised the original dress is a MewMews dress. SCAM

Extremely Disappointed – Custom Dresses Made Far Too Big, No Resolution
I ordered two custom-made dresses through the Queen Dancer website (fulfilled by MissyShow), and unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing. When the dresses arrived, they were both far too large—with some areas being up to 3 inches bigger than what I ordered. That is not a minor sizing variation, it's a major error.
I contacted the company immediately and provided clear photo evidence, including pictures of the dresses on and off, with a measuring tape showing the actual sizes. They initially responded asking for even more photos, which I provided without delay.
They claimed their sizing might vary by up to 3cm (this is not mentioned anywhere on the website), but these dresses were off by several inches. After I sent all the requested proof, they stopped responding entirely. I have been left with two unusable dresses, no refund, and no return information.
This experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing. I expected a professional service for a custom order, but instead received poorly made dresses and no customer support.
Avoid this website. In my opinion, they do not stand by their products and fail to take accountability when things go wrong. Based on my experience, I would not trust them again.

In response to their comment below:
Despite clearly submitting my measurements in inches, both dresses arrived significantly larger than what I ordered. For example:
Waist submitted: 29 inches
Sequin dress waist received: 32 inches
Pink dress waist received: 31 inches
These are not minor discrepancies—they are up to 3 inches off, far beyond the “3 cm tolerance” the company later tried to justify (a policy never disclosed at the time of ordering).
Worse still, their customer service continues to deflect responsibility by referencing this undisclosed tolerance and refuses a full refund—offering only a partial refund for dresses that don’t fit and are unwearable.
This is not what I paid £255.88 for. I expected garments tailored to my exact measurements, as clearly promised on the Queen Dancer site.
I’ve provided all proof requested—photos, screenshots, and side-by-side measurements—but have been met with dismissive responses.
Buyers beware: If you’re ordering custom sizing, be prepared for inaccurate results and unhelpful support. I would not recommend this company and am still waiting for a full resolution.
