End of auction time kept adding and adding site was to slow. Kept asking for payment saying it was late when it was within the time period.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review although it is a shame that you have selected 1*.
I am sorry to hear that you have experienced our website being slow - this hasn't been reported by other customers and isn't something we experienced as we are always online for auction ending to deal with any customer queries.
Our website has in-built "anti-sniping" software which means that from 8pm, every lot is extended for 10 minutes each time a bid is placed. This ensures fair bidding and is detailed on our website here: https://www.prestigewhiskyauction.com/how-to-buy and in section 13.3 of our terms and conditions. This is also why all social media/newsletters states that our auction ends FROM 8pm.
With regards to payment, the system will email each day post-auction to remind buyers to log in and pay their balance before the late-payment fee is added on the 5th day. This is charged at 4% of the basket total and I am sure you will agree, no-one wants to pay extra on top of their winnings.
Prompt payment from buyers also ensures that our sellers can be paid within the 5 days we promise and all orders can be shipped quickly - happy buyers and happy sellers!
I am sorry to hear that such reminders haven't been well received and you have been disappointed with our website's operations.

Great experience
First time selling whisky at auction and would have no hesitation recommending Prestige. Really friendly and efficient service. Nicola looked after us really well and we were pleased with the price we obtained (funds received quickly).

Islay Malts
I had a couple of Islay whisky’s that I wanted to sell. I contacted Prestige on a weekend and Nicola replied right away.
Made the whole process very easy.
Sold all 3 bottles in auction and got paid within a week. Lovely people to deal with, would highly recommend.
